Property was fantastic !!!! great location , amenities and fully loaded . We truly enjoyed our stay , I highly recommend !! About a 15 min drive into town of west Yellowstone and entrance to west Yellowstone park. The lake was beautiful and the use of kayaks, and fishing poles was a plus!!

We loved our week at the ...
We loved our week at the log cabin! It was fully stocked, wonderfully decorated and perfect for our family. The view of the lake and our home away from home was a wonderful addition to our family vacation to Yellowstone. I've stayed a quite a few vacation homes and this one ranks #1 - even the kids were impressed!
The view outside every window was incredible. The cabin was beautiful and well taken care of. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked! Often rentals feel overused but this place was so nice and comfortable. The host was always helpful and answered my questions quickly.
The house was perfect for our family. 8 people had enough room to be comfortable. Other family members who were a mile away joined us for meals and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. All was good.
Our two families loved our stay here! We also were pleasantly surprised by the fireworks show for 4th of July weekend just by our cabin! Great location to enjoy Hebgen Lake and to visit Yellowstone Park!
The property we stayed in was perfect for us. We had 3 adult couples. It provided great views over the lake, all the amenities of home, and great "social" space for the whole group to interact We loved it
Beautiful lake view. Approximately 15 minutes from West Yellowstone.
Spacious for 3 families. LOVED the deck space. Plenty of room. . We cooked most of our meals either in the kitchen or on the BBQ. Perfectly adequate.
The Lake was low and had an algae bloom. We could not enjoy the use of it, however, with Yellowstone and many other interseting fun things close by we were happy.
We could not have asked for more. Excellent location on the water and close to town/Yellowstone. Plenty of amenities and more than enough space. We got very lucky with the weather and just had overall an amazing get away with our family (12). From Grandpa to the teens, no complaints and all enjoyed our time together. Highly recommend a visit. Easy to rent a boat at the marina and we brought some paddle board rentals that were used a lot! Outdoor games like Corn hole, spike ball, etc. we’re also brought and used As good grass area between house and lake. If there was an issue, be sure to have bug spray at dusk but just a small nuisance. Once the fire pit got started, great way to end the night.
The cabin is very comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied and has a stock of spices and shelf stable foods which come in very useful. There are plenty of dishes and cutlery that you're not constantly washing dishes.
The star of the house, is the view from the lake. Every morning was a different show. Every night an amazing sunset.
The party room is a lot of fun with family and we found lots of twists to playing air hockey
The house is about 20 minutes from West Yellowstone and about 25 minutes to the Yellowstone gate. the Yellowstone airport is about 10 minutes from the house. You're located in an area that is out in lovely nature but not that far from stores or restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Amazing cabin
We just returned from another outstanding trip to Hebgen Lake and I can't recommend this Cabin enough. The location and view is unbeatable. It was very clean, comfortable and had extra amenities to keep the kids busy when they needed a break from the lake.
This was the perfect “home base” for our West Yellowstone vacation. We had 3 generations enjoying the house, including 4 kids ages 4-10yrs old. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for all. The downstairs playroom and movie room was a hit with the kids, great selection of movies for all ages. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the necessities to cook our breakfasts and dinners. Drinking coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was a cherished morning ritual. Daily fishing right outside our door. Interesting books to read. We have rented many places and this is one of the best. Rory was great re: communication and was available to answer any questions that popped up on our trip. Highly recommend!

Amazing from start to finish - gorgeous location, gorgeous house, every need met!
The stunning views and fantastic house lived up to the listing description and then some! Every kitchen item you could need is provided. We cooked many meals and had everything we needed, including paper goods too. Wonderful to have laundry and supplies (even laundry baskets!) available too. Lots of literature on Yellowstone, bear spray (not needed thankfully!!!) and wonderful furnishings. We LOVED the cabin and truly hope to come back again one day.

About the host
Hosted by Rory Steffler
I am the youngest of 6 children. My siblings and I all grew up on this very location when it was Lake View Cabins. A fishing resort built by my parents and older siblings. We all had the responsibility of cleaning cabins and tending to rental boats. As a family, we resided here from May through September each year, traveling down to Idaho Falls where my parents had reserved positions at the local sugar factory. As a kid, I had the pleasure of making friends at two schools. Both West Yellowstone and Idaho Falls.
I currently reside in Tri Cities Washington (Kennewick) where my career has taken me. I'm married and have two daughters and five wonderful grandchildren. All of which live locally.
No matter where my job takes me and no matter where I am located, my home will forever be where I was raised. "The Lake", as we fondly call it, will always be home.
Why they chose this property
You can't ask for a better view or a more relaxing environment for your vacation. Just being on the deck is a vacation in itself.
