About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 9-12)

Heavenly Sunrise is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath beachfront home with ocean views from every room in the house except the three bathrooms. This home is a comfortable 1800 square feet with approximately 1000 feet of uncovered, covered and screened decks with unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The home is comfortably furnished with a large family or group in mind. The top floor boasts a million dollar view of the sugar white beaches and Gulf of Mexico from the master suite, living room, dining room, kitchen, screened porch and uncovered sun deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of cookware and serving ware to serve many.

Most common small kitchen appliances are provided for your convenience. The first floor has three additional bedrooms, each with a covered deck and million dollar view of the Gulf along with two additional baths and the laundry room.

Heavenly Sunrise faces north-east for the most incredible sunrise views imaginable. Built in 2004, this home was constructed to the most stringent Florida Coastal Construction Zone building standards. The home was designed to provide breath-taking views and deck access from every bedroom and common area. Decks were designed for sun-lovers, shade-lovers and those that tend to attract the attention of biting insects common to Florida beaches i.e. no-see-ums or mosquitoes.

If you are looking for an un-crowded paradise for your family or friends, Heavenly Sunrise will more than deliver. If you dream of a Florida vacation on unspoiled beaches, without all of the tourists, tourist traps, traffic, and drunken crowds; Heavenly Sunrise will accommodate those dreams. If you imagine private midnight strolls or early morning jogs along the Gulf of Mexico, or the sounds of the waves crashing while the whippoorwills chant to wake you to your own private daily viewing of the Almighty’s splendor… Heavenly Sunrise is sure to please!

About Sharon Brewer

I'm from Tallahassee, but have lived in Atlanta for 25 years. I grew up fishing, crabbing and sun-tanning on Alligator Point at my Granddaddy's beach house. I built this house to accommodate my family and my husband's family. We have spent countless nights watching the shooting stars, eating roasted oysters and watching our kids grow up on the beach! Those family memories will outlast me and become traditions! We have traveled the world, but nothing compares to a family vacation at this beach. The privacy and the safety can't be found on another beach. I hope that you make some lifetime memories with your family and friends, also!

Sharon Brewer purchased this house in 2005

Why Sharon Brewer chose Alligator Point

This is the 'Forgotten Coast.' Home of the last 'Real Florida' beaches. The area was protected by State and Federal Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Refuges many years ago, so it remains natural and pristine. The locals still fish for a living, and development was never allowed to run rampant. It is one of the few beaches in Florida where you can still find shells, sand dollars, starfish, coral and other sea life. The porpoises play along the shore with no fear of careless boaters, jet skis, and throngs of tourists. The pelicans and herons fish the shallow surf, as you watch in awe. The beach remains very much like the photographs from 65 years ago, when my grandfather owned a home on Alligator Point. To this day, his home still stands. No condos, or chain hotels or souvenir shops have taken its place. It's a trip back in time to 'the real Florida!'

What makes this house unique

Privacy, privacy, privacy! As a native Floridian, I am not fond of crowded tourist traps. This location is incredibly private. Most days you will have the entire beach to yourself! You can watch your kids play on the beach without fear of traffic, bad influences or strangers. During low tide, even the smallest children can play in knee deep water on one of the many sand bars. Because this is a low-impact beach; overpowering waves and undercurrents are rare. The sand dollars, starfish, coral and sponge and seashells are abundant.

Beautiful hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

Heavenly Sunrise is perfect for families. 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The setup on the main floor with the bathroom and bedroom gives you a bathroom upstairs without disturbing someone sleeping in the bedroom. The kitchen works well. We cooked breakfast every morning. We bought shrimp, oysters, and crawfish for a boil. The best place to eat, in our opinion, is Tropical Trader. Great food and great service. Watch him shuck the oysters you just ordered.

We saw a total of maybe 6 people all week. We can't describe the sunrises you just have to see it. Oh and the stars at night! It has been years since I could see the Milky Way in the sky.

This is paradise for getting away and relaxing. Rode over to Wakulla Springs. Enjoyed the very informative and scenic boat ride. Did some swimming. My son jumped in off the high dive; I used the lower. Water is cold!

If you want people, fast food, night life; this is not the place for you. If you want quiet, relaxing and a natural beach teeming with wildlife the come on down. Crabs, deer, fish, horse shoe crabs, stars on end, and beautiful sunrises.

Fun with family and friends

  • 5 of 5

We've never been to a beach that wasn't commercial so the sea life we saw every day was one of our favorite things!! Our kids (1-10yrs) had sooo much fun going to the beach every morning to see what they could find! Hurricane Irma littered the beach a little, but was interesting to see what all washed up on the shore. The butterflies were beautiful! They fluttered about and sat on the flowers flapping their wings😊 it was a much needed break from our normal lives. Sharon was great to work with! We enjoyed it very much!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review! So glad it worked out for you to come - even on the heels of Hurricane Irma! The fall influx of the butterflies is one of my favorite things about this beach! September-November is the spectacular display of butterflies from all over the country - as they stopover on their migration south for the winter! Hope you can come again! Sharon

Family Fun, Fabulous Photos, Fantastic Flora and Fauna

  • 5 of 5

There is not much missing from this home, the inside is perfect for multiple families; the bathrooms are comfortable and accessible; the additional games, toys, kites, books, dvds, vhs tapes--more than cover a possible grounding in the house due to storms; and the beach, hiking trails nearby, stars at night, sunrises in the morning and sea life, birds and the people you meet---made for a wonderful and memorable family reunion.

The porches were super and there are more than enough chairs for all of us. The enclosed porch was perfect for the infant and toddler when the sun was high. The waters were mostly placid and had wonderful sandbars that even our toddler could walk out and see sea life. She became quite adept at picking up hermit crabs to 'talk' with them.

We went to the aquarium, a must see. The hands on tanks were fun for all of us and you support a great endeavor by just going to visit.

Our photos of sunrises, lightening storms off in the distance, stars at night, sea birds and local fishing 'catches' are a delightful panorama of all that we observed.

Susan, the caretaker, was front and center when we had a problem. Sharon, the owner, is quick to respond and very supportive with her suggestions and insights.

The kitchen had everything we needed and we found two chairs downstairs which enabled all of us to eat around the table for one meal a day as a family. The neighbors were fun to talk with and the few people walking the beach were like family. Oh yes and on the weekend, two wind surfers put on a spectacular display of their talents. We had so much fun watching them and going to meet them. You don't meet a stranger on this beach, people are warm, welcoming and wonderful.

Great Beachfront Home!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing week at Heavenly Sunrise! The beachfront property had plenty of room for six adults and four children and was well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, and linens. We spent much time on the sun deck and screened in deck. We really enjoyed the "ground zero" location of biodiversity of sea life during low tide - lots of sand crabs, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, and even a starfish. Our grandkids loved discovering the live sea creatures! Tropical Storm Cindy kept us inside for a day, but the good side of that was that the storm winds apparently took care of the no seeum bugs and biting insects that are sometimes present along the Gulf. Sharon did a great job at making our week long stay a very pleasant experience for our family.
