I've stayed at this groovy little cottage a couple of times and I've already booked it for future visits to Sewanee. It is less than 5 miles from campus and completely cozy.
Beautiful little cottage with everything we needed. We just moved to Tennessee and needed a place to stay before closing on our house. Owner was super sweet, everything was perfect.

Lovely little cottage situated near a bluff on the Cumberland Plateau about 4 miles from the town of Sewanee. Quiet and peaceful wooded location. Nice break from the heat and humidity of the Gulf Coast. Would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay over a long weekend. The space was extremely clean, cozy, and extremely peaceful. We took full advantage of the wonderful weather and charcoal grill at sunset. Can't beat it! Definitely recommend for a quiet getaway!

This place is special! It has everything you want for an individual retreat or a small family vacation! Location is perfect for Sewanee, Monteagle, half way between Nashville and Chattanooga. The cottage will continue to be the only place I’ll stay when visiting the area! Fantastic, responsive owners!
We love the location. The cottage was clean, fully furnished, comfortable, and shaded well. The dog pen off the living room was fully enjoyed by our small dog Maggie. The owners were friendly and helpful.
This is my second year staying in this fabulous little cottage south of the Domain. An excellent option if you’re visiting the University of the South: stay there for a week or for more than a month as I did, choose it as your base from which to visit the campus or to celebrate the beginning or ending of an academic career. The environment is beautiful; peaceful & quiet. The cottage has everything you’ll need. I can’t say enough good things about this property.

Laura is an excellent guest who fits right into this quiet rural neighborhood and always leaves things in good order. It’s a pleasure encountering her out on walks. Laura and Bruce are always welcome back!
We enjoyed the cottage. It was perfect for two people. It was close to Sewanee making it easy to drive back and forth to campus. The host was very friendly and accommodating, even providing my husband with a book on goats when she learned he was interested in getting some.

This is my 5th or 6th time staying in the cottage. Could not be more perfect for an individual or couple. Everything you need... especially the quiet!!! WIFI works great, all the kitchen supplies you need, a short drive to Sewanee, Monteagle, and great midway spot for day trips to Nashville or Chattanooga.

Thanks Brian, You were a fine guest and we're looking forward to your next stay.
What a special place!! I stayed with just myself and my dog and it was exactly what we wanted. I needed to be near Sewanee for a writing program and this charming cottage nestled in a wooded area on a quiet road was conveniently located. The cottage itself is immaculate: very well maintained, perfectly set up & equipped with everything you’ll need.
There’s a fenced in backyard and a spacious covered porch. The owner, who lives nearby, is responsive, helpful and kind. It was just perfect.

Laura and Bruce The Dog were excellent guests, it was a pleasure having them around. Laura was cooperative and helpful when we had to make a repair. The cottage was neat and tidy when they left. They are welcome to return any time!
Loved being able to have my own space with my doggie. Sue was so kind to bring veggies from her garden. The place was so comfortable and clean. Air felt so nice. I would wake up in the morning, put on hot water, and sit outside in the fence staring at the trees swimming in greens within greens while Myles sauntered his puffy butt cheeks around sniffing and pooping. Then I’d go on campus and inhale the Gothic architecture and think and write. Immaculate vibes.
The owner lives on an adjacent property and is available to provide support and information.
