We absolutely loved this condo. We had great views of the mountain and also side views of the ocean. We never had to worry about the glare of the sun. The condo was very spacious, and well appointed. We always had everything we needed, and it was always of good quality. Also the check out was effortless. We would definitely recommend using this condo.

Our unit was available and ready for early check-in. Every staff member we dealt with was pleasant, helpful, and accommodated us with any request.This was our third stay at the Konua Kai resort. The facility suits our needs perfectly. Our unit was clean and well stocked. The beach access, the pools, poolside refreshments service, the beach towel kiosks, and of course Duke's. Everything is designed to make a wonderful pampered stay. We will be back soon.

We have stayed in cono 924 before and loved it. This time we barely had hot water. Beautiful tub couldn't use it as there was not enough hot water to fill it for a bath. My husband and i had to shower 2 hours apart to a get hot shower. Just strange

Great resort and Room

Great resort and room to stay in. We were there unfortunately for Lahaina fire and communication was not best. This is not resort specific though. Hawaii is not equipped to handle a disaster and has no adequate warning system.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely and relaxing stay here for our babymoon. Our dryer was broken but the managment said they could take our laundry at any time (although we didn’t need it). Parking underground gets filled up by 8pm, but there’s plenty of parking outside around the edge of the villa premises. Condo was super clean and appreciated the amenities and good communication. Mahalo!

Nice but ...

Everything. Was great but the a/c would not get below 75 at night for us.....we had 4 people in the property after a hot day I would like to be at 68 to 72. And this property was not the sunny side.. I had a similar unit for my mom went down. To a brisk 65 Would not stay here again...

We are happy that everything was great in the condo but are sorry to hear the guest had such a hard time with the operation of the A/C system. These systems are a bit complex which is why we advise our guest not to touch anything on the right side of the thermostat to ensure they do not accidentally reprogram the system. We sent resort engineers up multiple times to "reset" the A/C after it got "locked" each time checking to make sure the there was proper operation and cold air flowing. Per resort engineers set point was 65 and temperatures were reading 45 and 49.1f from the registers.

Clean and beautiful!

Eating breakfast on the Lanai while watching the sunrise was spectacular! We had issued with the dryer but the property manager was more than accomodating with their laundry service. We had a wonderful time, and everything was convenient (including underground parking and the convenience store located in lobby) and everyone was so friendly! Definitely recommend! Pools were great for our family also, we were able to order Duke's poolside, while watching our kids enjoy their time and make friends with other children!

Great Property

Overall great property! Would definitely stay again, exactly as described and property is beautiful. One thing that was annoying was the parking, you are given a tag for the underground parking but there was never any spots available and we had to park away from the building and walk. Other than that we had an amazing stay!

Very clean, great kitchen

We had a great time at this property. My wife and I were very impressed with how clean everything was when we arrived (including the Lanai). All the kitchenware was very nice and had everything we could have wanted to cook meals or blend drinks. Hardly even noticed the construction - could only hear it if you were sitting on the Lanai in the afternoon but we were mostly at the pool beach anyways. Definitely would stay again and rent from this owner. The beach package was really nice too because the beach chairs and cooler were high quality.

Awesome place.

This was our family first time staying in Maui and this place was awesome. When we arrived on the island, we called and let me them we were checking on later than expected and they were able to accommodate us with no problems. The amenities of the washer, dryer, pools , beach access, and valet parking were great. We would stay here again. Mahalo!

Doesn't disappoint

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall review is good. I have been to Honua Kai multiple times. This was the first trip staying with Maui Westside Properties. The good points are that the property and room is just as the pictures show. Our room had partial ocean view and was beautiful and clean with nice appliances. The kitchen is well equipped for a condo. Most things like soap and laundry detergent with the exception of tp were supplied. construction was expected, however, it does start at six thirty am. I was surprised at this and it was actually pretty loud. My family is in construction so I did not care but others might not like the early noise. They did not work weekends. Everything was good except for two things. The bed was quite soft and I believe may need replacement as it seemed to dip in the middle. Have never had this happen before. Unfortunately on our last day, we were kindly granted a late check out of 1 pm. However, we made sure we came back at 12 pm sharp so we had plenty of time to pack up, but we returned to find out that our keys did not work. Panic set in and we had to go to the other building and call management to reset our keys. This took about forty minutes. We asked for an extended time but we're told no. It was not our fault our key stopped and was due to poor communication. We ended up being very stressed out on our last day which was unnecessary and should not have happened. In the past, we have used several management companies and have better communication with them over Maui Westside Properties. As far as the resort goes, it is great if you have kids. Usually we go during slow season so less kids. This time our trip was in August so there were plenty of kids, unfortunately some are not supervised. Some things we noticed that has gone downhill is maintenance. None of the hot tub jets work anymore and BBQs need some maintenance. Some of the bottle fountains were not working. I don't recall anything not in Top notch shape in previous trips.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit looks directly to the condo construction. It was loud and dusty. The condo had a complicated AC thermostat and half the time the AC was on and the other half the time the condo was stuffy and hot. The grounds were a bit dirty with garbage by the pool, sand in the hot tubs, we killed a cockroach on the path by the pool. The property has a lot of flies, probably because of the sewage plant across the street. We prefer staying closer to Lahaina at the Hyatt Residence club. We are glad we tried out the Honua Kai. It wasn't bad, but just not for us.

Honua Kai-Konea 924

Overall, my family and I had a comfortable stay at this property. My kids did enjoy swimming in the pools and the use of the gym equipment. Several things did bother us though....first, there is construction of the new villas happening currently, thus any condo facing the mountain (although ours said partial ocean...it was basically Mountain View) - patio furniture were super dirty from the construction dust going on. It was also very noisy during the day from the construction. You can't sit and enjoy a meal or read a book without really wiping everything down every couple of hours. In addition, we noticed the interior building hallway floors did not look like it was vacuumed either daily or every other day especially for being a high traffic area. Lastly, underground parking was pretty bad if we came back anytime after 6. Several times, we had to park in the Honua Kai guest area because the Konea underground parking was filled. It's a bit of a walk from the Honua Kai building to the Konea building. Lastly, I believe this is listed as Oceanview or partial ocean view - it is a view of the ocean if you move your chair or stand up close to the outer edge of the patio. The general view of this unit is of the mountains straight ahead and the construction below.

Comfortable Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This resort is overall a nice resort. However, there were a few things which renters should be aware of before deciding on this unit. It is listed as an Oceanview unit - it is only Oceanview if you stand on the far right end of patio and you lean out to your left. It is a mountain view unit with a hint or partial Oceanview. Currently, there is construction of new units so this unit has a full view of the construction. The patio furniture is very dirty from the construction. Hard to sit for a meal or read a book with the noise and dirt from construction. Interior unit was clean and spacious for family of 4. The dining chairs were a bit uncomfortable if you were planning to sit for a bit due to it being a wicker type seat. Underground self parking in Konea building was bad if you came back after 6. We had to park in Honua Kai guest parking several times and that was inconvenient since the walk was quite a distance back to Konea building. Overall, comfortable Mountain View unit.

We will be doing a thorough inspection of Konea 924 to make sure that everything is in top-notch condition, especially the patio furniture. We hope to see you again.
