Great Location

We loved the location, but parking was a problem. The original listing said 1 parking spot in garage, 1 parking spot in carport. However, the only parking spot available was the carport and street parking if you could find it. It was a great place but things could use a little sprucing up. We would consider using again if parking was better. I loved that it was very close to the beach and the evenings with the windows open and the fans, it was great sleeping weather. Thank-you!

Great Location

Great location, steps from the beach. Plenty of room for my party of 7. Had issues with Microwave and Coffee Maker, but property manager was quick to respond and remedied the issue quickly. Only criticism would be the laundry area. The machines were Filthy and coin operated. No one carries coins anymore. Thankfully we were only staying the weekend and laundry was not a necessity. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and I would recommend it.

Family Time

The house was clean and is in a great location. The neighbor below is super nice as well. Nice size place with 4 bedrooms which was perfect for us. The only thing to improve on is kitchen supplies. It would be great to have a big sauté pan, measuring cup, missing bowls, etc. it would also be nice if there were beach chairs, and bikes available. We stay at a lot of VRBo’s and Airbnb’s and bikes and beach chairs are pretty standard. The location and size were amazing so we would definitely recommend.

50 yards from the beach

We had a very nice stay on Seashore Drive. The condo was extremely functional for my group as we were working in Orange County during our stay. It was relatively easy to find parking, the shopping center nearby has some good restaurants, the neighbors were kind and the beach is literally 50 yards away. Our only issue was that the heater didn't pump much heat to the two back rooms but that's only a potential problem in the winter months. Overall, the condo was clean and functional. Even more, you can see the ocean from the dining room table!

4 bedrooms steps from the beach

This property was professionally cleaned, well stocked on all the towels, and had so much space! Even more than I thought they would. We easily were able to fit a pack and play in with our queen bed for our baby. And it was so nice for my kids to have their own bedroom for sleeping. We will stay here again next year! The appliances and cabinets were updated. Easy check in and checkout. And the beach was literally steps away! Game. Changer!

Love your location!!

We so enjoyed our family stay over the Christmas holiday. So easy to create a home feeling, easy meal preparation and serving. The heating was a problem for the two "back" bedrooms. Two front bedrooms and large room were fine. The back bedrooms were cold, especially at night when doors were closed. Otherwise all was good - meals, walks on beach, pet comfort. Any correctable issues we had were quickly addressed by the property manager. Thank you!

Great location and spacious interior

This was our first year staying in this house and we were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the interior. There was plenty of room to spread out in the main living room, and with four kids running around, it was really nice that the house wasn't overly packed with furniture and knick-knacks, and that the balcony was safe for toddlers. A few extra outdoor counter stools would be nice, as only two are provided. The walls are thick, and you can't hear anything from one side of the house to the other, so that can be both a good and bad thing, depending! The location is fantastic — a couple of blocks away from a good coffee shop and easy bike-riding distance everywhere else. The only negative we experienced was the non-functional coin-operated washing machine. The washer does not wash effectively and the dryer doesn't produce any heat. Washing towels is a basic necessity during a week-long stay so this was disappointing. Customer service did come through with a fresh towel delivery mid-week, so that was helpful and much appreciated. But hoping management can fix — or ideally replace — the ancient machines. Other than that, we'd be happy to stay here again. Newport Beach is truly the best!

The dryer at our stay didn’t work and they didn’t leave extra sheets. 0 help from vacasa or the manager. Also, who charges for a washer and dryer on an expensive beach property like this?

Bad service

The Washer, the dish washer and the bbq grill were not working. Vacasa did not come to fix then. In spite of us staying there 7 days and asking daily. They are not responsable hosts.

Great location but…

Could use some TLC. More seating in the family room would be nice, dressers to store clothing in the bedrooms and a way to use the hose! The hose bib needed a key, which we were not given. We are next to the beach and there was no way to wash sand off our feet or stuff. Kitchen had most of what we needed. We had plenty of towels in the bathroom. Wi-Fi worked. Overall, it was okay but could use a few improvements.

Nice stay with few minor remarks.

We enjoyed our stay during Christmas. Was very clean when we arrived. Only a couple of very minor things that would not prevent me from staying again: The couch cushions were torn and had noticeable holes in them. Really should just go in the garbage. They used the cheapest toilet paper offered. With 5 people in the house we ran out within 2 days and had to purchase our own. For the money you spend on this rental please get better toilet paper. As I mentioned these are minor issues and I would stay there again but just remember to bring my own toilet paper. lol!

Excellent Location

Great place and property. Literal 1 minute walk to beach. Beds just OK, pillows just Ok, cheap. When they say fans in every room is doesn’t mean ceiling fans it means old rusted dirty box fans. Also there is no AC. I we thought no matter it’s 65 degrees. No it’s still very warm at night. No screen on the main patio door really needs one. I have seen this complaint from several others. It needs to be addressed. Also some personal touches would be nice like body boards, surfboards, bicycles. Other than these things. It was a great location and a safe place that I would book again. But it just doesn’t have attention to detail.

Careworn and poorly outfitted property

This property featured a black pleather living room couch that was so old it was shedding and stained the back of our legs black. The dishwasher fell out of the cabinetry it was positioned in every time you might pull out the loading rack. The blinds in the back room were broken so there was no sleeping in on vacation. There weren’t any beach items like towels etc. the kitchen gear was so old it was falling apart. Super dissatisfied, considering it was an expensive property. Avoid this one.

They did not leave enough towels for 6 adults and 2 children for 6 days. No washer or dryer or dish towels. No window blinds in livingroom and the parking was bad. We had 2 cars and 1 carport. No mop and not enough seating in livingroom. It was cold at night and hot during the day. The floors were dirty. Missing light over table. Light in bathroom was on time and would go off when showering. No tub for little ones..DV player not working. No beach chairs. The hot water was a joke if more then one person needed to shower. No icemaker.

There are better options….

We recently rented this place (7/21-7/27), and here’s the review Vacasa (property mgmt company) insisted we post. Positives- When we arrived the place was very clean (except the filthy laundry room that is on the lower level). Negatives- After checking in, we get a text from Vacasa stating the dishwasher is broke, & will be replaced on Monday. We arrived on Friday, so we would be w/out a dishwasher for 3-3.5 days of our 7 day stay. When I went to turn the grill on (after buying a bunch of steaks at the grocery store), I noticed the grill regulator was disconnected from the propane tank. Screwed it onto the tank, opened the valve on the tank, and immediately heard and smelled the propane gas coming out of the grill regulator. I texted Vacasa immediately, as well as told the guys replacing the dishwasher on Monday about it. Also, asked that it be fixed while we were there, and Vacasa said it would be.It never was fixed… Then, only 2 of the 5 burners on stove are working. The 2 burners were the smallest of the 5 (we couldn’t even get a large pot of water to boil for pasta) Again, text with Vacasa, about this and they said it will be fixed. Never was. Laundry room was absolutely filthy and as other posts mentioned, coin operated machines.. Vacasa just made promises everything would get fixed, but nothing was. Couldn’t cook anything during our stay, dishwasher was broke half the time, and Vacasa just texted promises but no fixes. there are better options in Newport…

Newport Vaca Home

We have never done an Airbnb before and originally booked a different one for this trip, it got cancelled and Vacasa booked this one for us to make up for the cancellation. Location was IDEAL!! 1 street away from the beach which made it so nice so we didn’t have to drive forever there and back. House was spacious, clean, and perfect for the 8 of us. It was pretty much fully stocked with all of the essentials, we just bought groceries and some extras that go into it. I would 10 out of 10 rent it out again and recommend it to anyone looking for beach house close to the water but with out all the chaos and people that walk by.

Great location, so-so property

The very best thing about this property is the location: it is just a few steps from the beach and close to restaurants, grocery stores, and entertainment. It even has a sliver of an ocean view. The house itself is fine and we had an enjoyable time. It was clean and while perhaps not well-stocked, at least has most of the essential items you’d expect in a decent rental property. There were sufficient clean towels, including beach towels. However, it is often the little touches that distinguish a property, that make it comfortable versus merely functional. The house lacks any real character and desperately needs some attention. Prior reviews have noted many of the same issues we encountered so they’re not new. While seemingly trivial, over the course of a few days they become extremely annoying. The fixture in the kitchen sink is broken and the faucet head falls into the sink at the slightest touch. The dishwasher is not properly affixed under the counter and as result, as soon as you begin to load it it tips out of the cabinet and tries to dump the dishes you’ve loaded onto the floor. At least one kitchen drawer was broken and falls out, while others don’t close properly. A lamp in the main room would be a nice addition, as would some decor to the sterile rooms, particularly the bedrooms. The wifi never worked for us. We followed the instructions for use and trouble shooting but couldn’t connect. Fortunately we were able to use our phone hotspots so the wifi wasn’t a big issue. In the end, we might return because of the location and the ability to bring pets (though we didn’t have one this time), but there are some easy fixes that would make this place much more pleasant.

Location, location, location, but...

We had a good time staying here. The location was great, just a few steps away from the beach. The listing mentioned no internet so I was surprised to find there was internet. It wasn't working at first but the manager helped get it fixed. Unfortunately, there was a problem with cockroaches. We accidently left some takeout food out and the roaches came out. We didn't cook or make our own coffee due to the roaches. If you don't really use the kitchen, you may not see any roaches.

Great location

Pros: location was steps from the beach! We enjoyed the freedom of just walking to the beach and walking back to the house. Beach towels were provided along with toiletries and a roll of paper towels. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with plates, pans, pots and utensils. We also enjoyed the spacious living space. The beds were comfy and the coastal breeze cooled the house down. Overall. I would definitely stay again. Cons: There are TVs in most of the rooms except one and none of them have any TV connection. You are unable to even cast to the TVs since they are not smart TVs, you would need to take a Chromecast or a fire stick in order to watch TV in any of the rooms. The large TV in the living room however is a smart TV and you are able to cast to the TV and watch shows. There's a limited number of toilet paper rolls so if you have a large party of mostly girls I definitely would recommend bringing some additional rolls and it does come with one roll of paper towels so you may need to purchase some additional ones depending on the length of your stay. The sofa is falling apart a little bit so you do find little bits of black material on your clothes but other than that it is still a comfy place to just chill and relax after a long day at the beach. There are also only screens on the windows in the bedrooms so the house does tend to get a lot of bugs and flies in there because there is not a screen door on the front door the sliding door or the back windows would you definitely need open to get that cool ocean breeze throughout the living area.
