Wonderful condo!

We loved staying at this this condo! It was great being able to walk directly outside of our place and walk to the pool or beach. Our kids loved the giant jacuzzi tub as well. Will definitely stay her again!

Great room for Great price!

I do not remember the exact dates we were here but it was sometime in November 2013. We had a great relaxing weekend. The jacuzzi tub is amazing! It is also on the first floor and you could practically step out to the pool and a very short walk across the boardwalk to the beach! Will recommend someone and will be back again!

Loved it but didn’t get any sleep

Loved the condo, the pool and beach access! But no one could sleep. The AC rattled up against the bedroom wall so we had to try and make ear plugs with toilet paper. The bunk beds in main area doesn’t get any air flow so kids were too hot.

Location. Location!

Great location by the pool. Easy access. New cabinets and counters. Comfy beds. Washer and dryer a bit effy. Older adults would have trouble getting in and out of shower/jacuzzi tub. Great for kids though!

Will never stay @Mayan Princess again

The first day when tried to use washer it was broken. Spent the whole weekend washing our close in the kitchen sink. Lighting in condo was dull. My son found clumps of hair all over his bed. After that refused to sleep in bed. Spent a whole day cleaning the condo. Will never stay there again. The employees from the resort where nice. They offered to wash our close for us.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a pleasant stay at Mary's condo, convenience to pool & beach is excellent. The condo is partially updated but could use a bathroom redo, the lighting is terrible (!) and the tub & toilet area are very dated. The electrical outlets on living room wall with the TV did not work, but we rearranged & made it work. Mayan Princess is still recovering from Harvey, with construction on going, some areas of the property did not appear to be safe, current updated info about the condition of the property should be available online to potential renters

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been staying at the Mayan Princess every summer for almost 10 years and really look forward to our vacations there! You can't beat the proximity to the beach, and the swimming pools are spacious and luxurious. The room was great and the bed was super comfortable. They was some construction going on while we were there, but management was very sensitive to making sure our stay was fantastic! I look forward to coming back next year and definitely recommend the Mayan Princess!

I love how close the resort is to the beach and how easy it is to access the pools. #112 is clean but needs some maintenance and amenities to bring it up to receive 4 stars from me. The furniture is acceptable considering it is a beach condo. But at least one additional chair in the living room is necessary. Additionally the mattresses are dated and need to be replaced. No broom was provided so the sand on the floor drove me nuts. Additionally there was a leak in the ceiling so throughout our weekend there was a small puddle on the dining area and sometimes on the kitchen table. Again really liked the resort but this unit needs some updates.

Mayan Princess is great - Unit 112 Not so much

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Let me just say we really enjoyed our stay at Mayan Princess. That being said, since the rates for all the first floor units are the same, I would definitely choose to stay in a different unit than 112. There was visible water damage on the wooden ceiling above the living area, in multiple places. There was also a slow drip in one spot in that same ceiling. I'm not sure if it was from a leaky pipe or condensation on an air duct. There was no way of knowing. It didn't drip enough to leave water on the floor but I did get hit a couple of times while standing at the dining table. This unit had no bowls to eat out of. We had to go buy bowls at Wal-Mart. One of the lamps in the bedroom didn't work. Not sure if it needed a bulb or the lamp was broken. There was no plug for the drain in the bathtub, so we couldn't fill the tub for baths for the kids. The bottom of the cabinet where all the pots and pans were stored is collapsed. One of the under cabinet lights didn't work. There were at least six slats missing from the vertical blinds, so there were many gabs in the blinds when they were closed. It was obvious that many of the others had broken also and been hastily repaired. The blinds just need to be replaced. There was no cover over the fluorescent light in the bunk bed, leaving the bulb exposed. Our last day there a pretty bad leak developed around one of the can lights in the shower. It must have been from something on the floor above. Also, all the AC vents were dirty, or rusty. I just list all these things to say, a handful of small repairs would go a long way to making this unit just fine to stay in. Until they are all fixed, I would choose a different unit, as they have many nicer ones to choose from. One last thing, the pool was great, but almost all the umbrellas and many of the plastic chairs were falling apart, literally. It would be a small investment for the property to invest in some new umbrellas and plastic chairs.

Always fun at the Mayan Princess

It was cute and all but I went to the beach for a romantic New Year's Eve weekend with my sweetheart. Lounging on the white wicker watching a TV on a 20" tube just not that cozy, romantic or even slightly comfortable. And trying to find a Redbox that would rent VHS movies was just ****! The metal back kitchen chairs would be perfect for 'that' guest you just can't seem to get rid of. Back ache city! I didn't pick this room nor would I have given the 'vintage' furniture and electronics.

Holiday Trip

The pool was nice and the landscaping was good. The floors were dirty and the shower needs an update. It's a little further away from things, so it's a good 15-20 minute drive into town either way. Price wasn't too bad considering.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay at Mary's condo. It was clean and comfortable and the ground floor patio and access to the delightful pool area was very convenient. The cleaning staff were particularly attentive to our needs and the front desk responded to our various requests. The condo was well located, the beach was at our doorstep across the dunes where we enjoyed many morning walks. Port Aransas, a delightful small town with many restaurants and leisure activities, is only 5 or so minutes by car. We also enjoyed many afternoons at Bob Hall pier and beach which was a 10minute car ride to Padre Island. I would recommend Mary's condo to anyone seeking clean and comfortable accommodation with a great pool area, quick and easy access to the beach and a convenient short drive to town. Finally, while I have never met Mary and Alex, I can tell they are they are honest, attentive and considerate people. Thanks for a great time.

Loved your room

Mary, thank you for sharing your condo with us. It was decorated so cute and everything was just perfect. Loved how you were just steps away from the pool and could get to the beach in under 5 minutes. I am already looking at your calendar to return again this summer. Also I can not stress enough the very reasonable rate you are asking. Thank you so much for not overpricing your condo so we can come and enjoy it all year instead of just once a summer. You are our new home away from when we get a chance to head to the coast.

Steps away from the pool and beach

My wife, eight-year-old son and I had a great stay at Mary's Beachfront Condo . . . I'd highly recommend it to friends and family. While the Mayan Princess has several floors, our unit was at ground level and was probably about 20 feet from one of three pools. You could also easily access the beach over the boardwalk--a two-minute walk from the coach to the ocean makes for a very relaxing weekend. The Mayan Princess is showing its ages in spots. For example, what was once a swim-up bar is now in disrepair. But the staff was friendly and attentive and the unit itself is well cared for and comfortable. The full kitchen was great and well stocked with utensils, knives and paper towels. (I'm always surprised when rental units don't have basics like cutting boards). And our son loved the bunk beds with the twin doors that slid closed, giving him his our little hideaway. All in all, a great place to stay to enjoy the Texas coast.
