Hello there, a little about us

My husband Allen and I will be your hosts while you visit us. We have been married for 34 years. We met in the hospitality industry and worked in that field for many years. Little did we know that would be great training for our new adventure as hosts for the cottages.
Love God, camping, trees, country music, animals, cooking shows, Chip and Joanna Gaines in Texas, vintage anything especially vintage trailers! We have a 1979 Avion (airstreams cousin)
And a cute little 1955 canned ham Roadliner that we take to the beach for camping.

Life motto is " everything will be all right in the end and if its not all right, its not the end"

We bought this farm style home in Vista 23 years ago and love our little mini farm on four acres.
I have always wanted a bed and breakfast way back when I was a child.
My grandma grew up on a farm in Kansas and she passed on the love of it to me.
We are at the end of a cul de sac, on top of a hill with breath taking views. A country/rural setting but near everything.
I love design and I had been working at Michaels in Vista for over eleven years as the floral designer. Semi retied now focusing on my rescue Yorkshire Terriers, Chickens, quilt making, sewing and crochet.
Our hearts are for animals, especially dogs and we rescue Yorkshire Terriers because we are crazy about this breed!
Ps we keep the yorkies in a separate yard with the chickens, do not enter their area as one is protective and fearful of strangers.
We have some beautiful show chickens and raise hens for eggs. We call it pets with benefits.

This is a guest house on our property which is a four acre estate. Lovely views, lots of windows ,small kitchen, one bedroom, queen bed, and one bath Cottage. It is small like a tiny home.
Very quiet and in the hills of vista. Still so close to everything like shopping, frwy, theaters, restaurants and all the attractions San Diego has to offer. Bring your hiking boots and or mountain bikes, there are beautiful trails right outside the property gates

Hidden Gem great place for a getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it’s comfortable with everything you need & close to the freeways & everything in North County San Diego. Loved the French country decor too! The Hosts, Marie & Allen are nice people who are helpful & responsive. It’s in the woods with a beautiful view but minutes from everything which made it feel like a country getaway.

A Hidden Gem
This is one of those places that you try to find to get away from your crazy life. It is so quiet and peaceful it’s unbelievable. The French decor is so cute and not over done. The accommodations are perfect. This cottage is on the property of the owner but you’d never know they’re around because they are respectful and quiet. This is definitely a place we will return to.

Allen and I are California natives and love it here especially for the weather. We met in the hospitality field and have been married for 34 years. We love God, animals, nature, sun, moonlight, vintage trailers and meeting friendly people, we have 5 rescue Yorkies and 20 chickens. You will see our 1955 canned ham Roadliner trailer called Lucy and our 1979 Avion similar to a Airstream named Jasmine. Nostalgia is important here. We love to share the land that we have been blessed with by being hosts to people from all over the world. It’s been rewarding to offer a relaxing stay in a more country setting and allow guests to detox from a fast pace hustle bustle living style. My interests are quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening, crochet and taking care of the animals. Oh forgot DECORATING! Come spend some quality time here and make some great memories! That’s what we really care about.😊

Why they chose this property

The scene here is country rural and that’s what we love about living here. Even thou they built some new homes near us you still feel like your away from it all.

What makes this property unique

The almost 4 acres here feels like your in a park like setting and you are surrounded by tall Eucalyptus trees. It’s a little bit of heaven and still close to everything like shopping mountains and beaches. Best climate rated number 3 in the nation.
