We loved staying here and found the hosts to be very helpful and friendly
Nice apertment with friendly and helpful owners!
Very cozy & clean
The apartment was located very close to buses that took you to downtown Dublin in minutes. A lovely welcome basket with fruit, bread, eggs, sausages & more were provided so that we didn't have to rush out to get groceries right away. Would definitely stay here again.
Great apartment-Great location!
This is the second time we have rented from this owner, and we have been very happy with both properties. This apartment in Dublin is in a great location for seeing the sites. We took a short cab ride to the City Center, and cabs were easy to find right outside the apartment complex. Bus service is also available right outside the complex. This apartment is spacious with 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We liked the sitting room with its large window overlooking a small park. The apartment is inside a secured complex, so we felt very safe during our stay. Both Lidl and Centra have stores right outside the complex which were very convenient for our needs. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very nice young man who showed us around the property and provided us with keys and information about the apartment. The owner provides everything you will need; truly a home away from home. A large basket of groceries including fruit, bread, milk and butter were in the apartment upon our arrival; a very nice touch after our long flight. This is a great home base for touring the city of Dublin.
We enjoyed the property very much.
Overall everything went as planned and expected. The apartment was neat and clean, well maintained and conveniently located. Our only issue was after returning late from our 12 hour tours and evening music shows, there was no hot water for a shower. There was always hot water in the mornings but forget taking a shower if you have been away all day and return after 11 pm. The local grocery store is handy and we appreciated the food that was purchased for our use. The basket and fruit tray were a helpful addition and a much enjoyed plus. We recommend you visit the new Cafe du Jour Cork St, exactly below the apartment on street level. Say hello to Jamal, Zak and Ali for us, the coffee, mocha and bakery items are tasty! And I really enjoyed the Chicken Curry and rice dish they served for lunch. If I return to Dublin, I would want to stay at Cork Street Apsrtments once again.
Thank you so much for these useful comments, deeply appreciated. On the lack of hot water, we are very surprised.
Could we advise that - as explained in our Welcome Basket Info Guide to the Apartment - Item #7 explains to guests the importance of using the Boost Hot Water fall-back - so helpful if they have depleted the Start of Day hot water supply - 500 litres of delightful hot water from early morning. This Boost Switch is located beside the large Water Tank in the Store Room, and has never failed us or our guests in the past. We are so sorry to learn that these guests missed reading this advice in our Apt Guide - and we implore all future guests - don't hesitate, send us a brief text query and we can quickly solve any such mysteries.
This missing hot water could have easily been explained - it is important to us that your comfort level is always secure, :).
My friends and I stayed here while in Dublin for St. Patrick's Day last week(2016). Liz was extremely nice and friendly. Never ran out of things to do. If you needed to take a break the apartment was fantastic to recuperate for your next adventure. I will for sure go back to Dublin and hopefully this place will be available. You can see St. Patrick's Cathedral from the balcony! A beautiful apartment for a beautiful city.
