About the Property

We have called this apartment The Samuel Beckett after the famous Irish novelist. A recently refurbished apartment that sleeps 4-5 comfortably ideally situated close to the Phoenix Park and Botanic Gardens.

This is a modern City stay with all home comforts. Within easy reach of all the fabulous restaurants, museums, parks, Guinness Brewery, Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol, Farmleigh House and of course shopping that Dublin has to offer.
Easy walk to numerous bus stops and train stations that will connect you with the Luas which will connect you with all of Dublin.

There are also a number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the apartment which we can highly recommend. There are numerous pubs and some have traditional Irish music on a regular basis all within walking distance as well.

We provide a welcome pack with the basics such as bread and milk etc to get you on your feet. There is a major supermarket within a 5 minute walk so you will never run out of essentials. All mod cons are provided and there is linen and towels freshly laundered for your use. A hairdryer is provided.

The apartment is in a beautiful large red brick Victorian building on a tree lined street. The apartment consists of one bedroom with both a double and single bed and in the living room there is a leather pull down sofa that makes another double bed.
There is a seperate kitchen and dining area and of course a bathroom. There is fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer so that anyone considering an extended stay can enjoy all the comforts of home. Cots and high chairs can be provided should they be required. For anyone considering exploring Ireland further there is a car hire company within easy reach and a train station 5 minutes walk away. The famous Guinness Brewery is close at hand as well as the Jameson Distillery both of which run tours regularly and are worth a visit. Dublin is also renowned for it's famous Temple bar area for entertainment which is a bus ride away. For art lovers the Irish Museum of Modern Art is 15 minutes away and the National Museum of Ireland is 10 minutes away.

There really is something for everyone.

A great place to stay with easy access to the city centre in just 10 minutes by bus. There is a regular bus service that runs right by the front door and there is the light rail system which is a great way to see Dublin in its entirety.

There is a major supermarket just 3 minutes walk away as well as a pharmacy, bakery, butchers, medical centre and a laundromat for guests that need this facility.

There are cafes, pubs and restaurants all within easy walking distance (max 10 minutes) and one pub in particular plays traditional Irish music nightly and has to be visited during your stay. It's an old Irish pub and people gather nightly to play here. Not to be missed!

There are also excellent restaurants so if you don't want to cook you could pop into L. Mulligan's Bistro (check out the review it got in the NY Times), Plan B, Cucina, My Thai and various cafes for that all important cup of coffee and chat.

We have eaten in all of these establishments and we couldn't fault any of them so rest assured that you won't be disappointed.

If you plan on eating in the city then it's only a short bus ride or walk to find a wealth of restaurants and places to eat that will take your breath away. The quality and standard of food in Dublin not to mention the variety is second to none so there really is something for everyone.

There are also some takeaways nearby so if you don't want to cook or if you don't want to venture out this is an option also.

Why the Owner Chose Cabra East, Dublin, Ireland:
I chose this location for the proximity to the city centre and of course the beautiful Victorian Redbrick lined North Circular Road.These properties are a feature of Dublin and are preserved by Dublin Council. The fact that the Phoenix Park and the Botanic gardens are within walking distances is an absolute plus, providing plenty of recreational activity.

There are a number of benefits to staying in this property. Located close to the heart of the city of Dublin there is an excellant transport system by bus and light rail that means all of the sights can be visited with the minimum of fuss.
