En retrait dans un moment de splendeur paisible est un charmant chalet de 4 chambres d'antan. Niché prÚs de la ville pittoresque d'Eddyville. Cette magnifique maison se trouve dans un endroit parfait surplombant les eaux bleues scintillantes du canal principal du lac Barkley.

La maison a de nombreux extras, une grande cour pour jouer, un porche grillagĂ© et une belle enveloppe couverte autour du porche. Également des Ă©tapes qui mĂšnent Ă  une grande zone de pĂȘche et de baignade. pas de plage de sable plus rustique.

À l'intĂ©rieur, vous vous sentirez confortable et confortable dans cette maison dĂ©corĂ©e Ă©clectique avec des appareils mis Ă  jour. C'est un endroit idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre mais aussi pour s'amuser. L'emplacement est pratique pour de nombreuses activitĂ©s rĂ©crĂ©atives telles que le golf, la marina, le parc aquatique, les restaurants et les magasins.

La vue sur le lac est vraiment spectaculaire avec des couchers de soleil colorĂ©s et des eaux roulantes. Thanksgiving family getaway

This was a good option in western Kentucky for a Thanksgiving meeting point for our family. The house is an interesting style with nice amenities.

We should have done a bit more research

The house was nice but felt a bit damp. The view is lovely. The historic cemetery road was pretty to walk. The kitchen was well equipped and the furniture was comfortable. The steep concrete stairs to the water weren't great for little kids and the proximity to a maximum security prison was a shock and put a damper on things. We should have looked into things a bit more because the prison and then the lack of a big sandy beach, decent restaurants/ice cream shops/general vacation-y things to do was disappointing. We did enjoy a day at the waterpark though!

Mixed Bag: Stunning Views, Unexpected Neighbor

The property's location offers undeniably breathtaking views from the deck, which is a major plus. The newly renovated master bedroom and bathroom are also a highlight, providing a luxurious retreat. However, the rest of the house feels dated and could benefit from a professional cleaning service. Unfortunately, the property's proximity to a maximum security prison is a significant oversight in the listing. While there haven't been escapes in decades, it's a jarring surprise for unsuspecting guests. It would be helpful to disclose this information upfront. The house itself has an old house smell, which can't be avoided, and could use some updates. The electric system felt a bit off, and the overall cleanliness was subpar. We found hair under the pillows and heavy dust on the baseboards and less frequented places throughout. Despite these drawbacks, we managed to enjoy our stay thanks to the beautiful lake views. This property has the potential to be exceptional with some improvements. For those seeking a lakehouse near local attractions, this could still be a good option. I had higher expectations for the price but we still had a great time. Just be aware of the unexpected neighbor and prepare for a property that needs some TLC.

Good place to stay

No lightbulbs to replace those that burned out during our stay. TV in the master bedroom does not work. Internet SSID was incorrect. But overall we enjoyed staying there. Kitchen well-stocked with utensils, gadgets, etc. Also parking was not adequate for 3 cars. Corps has not cleared trees and brush, blocking much of the view of the lake. Interesting historical house!

Lovely home

Charming older home with great lake view. Loved the sunsets on the lake. Only wish we could have accessed the lake. Too many tree limbs and trunks to safely get to the waters edge. Lots of area places to visit and enjoy. Waterpark was a hit for us.

Great Stay

House was very nice. Had extra things to do like bags and poker chips. Wood for fire. Hosts were very responsive to questions. Good location near marina, stores and restaurants. Lots of wildlife. Saw eagle, fox, deer. We enjoyed our stay.

Solar Eclipse Trip

We enjoyed this beautiful property while visiting nearby family to watch the solar eclipse. We especially loved the historic architecture of the home. Communications with the hosts were great and check in and listing accuracy were all good.

Adventures await

Cute property, right on the water! Kitchen has everything you need and more! Lots of space/ privacy for 2 or 3 small families. My children enjoyed the games and played lots of hide and seek inside. We brought kyacks and launched from the house. We saw deer, turkeys, and the bald eagle on many walks. Responsive host! Enjoy your trip!

Beautiful Lake Front Property

We really enjoyed our time at the Lake House. The evening sunsets were amazing and we had deer walk by in the yard everyday. The location worked very well for us commuting to Princeton each day. It was a convenient 10 min drive to gas and groceries. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owner was easy to communicate with and checked in to see how everything was going. We hope to come back and stay again soon.

Relaxing weekend with friends

The property is lovely inside and out! The kitchen and baths are well stocked; the porch is perfect for cocktails with a view of the lake! Games in the comfortable den were fun on a rainy night and the marina right down the road has free launch for boating. A great place for enjoying Lake Barkley with friends!

Lake Bartley

Breathtaking view from the porch and property faces the lake but no swimming due to the large, slippery rocks. However, there are a couple of locations very near this property that the children enjoyed, especially the Venture River Water Park. If mosquitoes love you as much as they love me, make sure to bring lots of repellent. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need, including condiments and seasoning (first time encountering this). The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The entire family, of ten, had a great time and we will definitely book again!

Charming house on the Lake

Charming and a little quirky lake house. Very comfortable and clean. One of the best stocked kitchens we’ve had. With having a 4 month old grandson with us we dined at the house every day. Beautiful views The hosts very helpful. The only negative would be the 44 steps to the lake and access into the water off the rocks was a bit tricky.

Wonderful

Everything you need is stocked for cooking or cleaning. The view is amazing and all the beds we’re comfortable. The large shower was amazing and we never ran out of hot water even after all showering after being on the lake all day. The only hick up we had was the lock on the door that stores the keys needs to be replaced. We had a great time and highly recommend this place.

Beautiful old home

We used this location as a getaway for extended family, ages 18 to 80. The home had charm and a nice location overlooking the water. We had all we needed for a comfortable weekend away.

Family Getaway 2022

The property was centrally located around Lake Barkley. House is older but has a history and charm. Very close to Hu-B's at Kuttawa for our boat rental. Fire pit was used almost daily as was the outside porch facing the lake. The kitchen was used daily. Only real conflict involved the cable TV repair. Overall experience was great.

Great Getaway

Check in process was really easy. Location of the property was great and fairly close to all the things we had planned for the weekend. Absolutely loved the front porch that overlooks the lake.

Jameson and I love peaceful getaways. We enjoy boating, golf and campfires . We have been going to Lake Barkley for many years with our kids while they were very small. We found this wonderful old home that was a fixer upper. We just fell in love with it. We do like the charm and character of old homes but the special part is the lake. We fell in love with Lake Barkley and Eddyville. I am sure you will see why!

The view had us sold!!! It is one of the best you will ever see on the Lake. Not in a cove were you just see other houses. You see the full view of the lake and Land between the lakes wild life. I guess that is why Matthew Lyon who founded Eddyville and Lyon County had once owned this lot ! It is truly a beauty! Our house has all the modern amenities but yet so much history. You will see pleasure boats but also barges and a cruise line paddle boat. Come stay and see for yourself. We would loved to have you!

This property is close to a Dollar General, Grocery Store, Liquor Store, Gas Stations, Restaurants, Marinas plus Golf course, Waterpark and City Pool. You won't have to go far if you forgot something or if you are wanting to get to some great recreation!! Our location is not only convenient it has good paved roads that makes it easy to get you back to the highway.
