Located on the East side of Barber lake. This 1 acre 4 bedroom 3 bath lake home holds up to 8 people per Sawyer County regulations starting July 1 st. Pontoon included. Barber lake is a fantastic 200 acre lake that offers swimming, class A Muskie fishing, boating, conoeing, kayaking, water skiing, paddle boards and tubing. 3 day minimum from June 1-Oct 1. Winter rates and 2 day rentals available from October 1 st- April 30 please inquire. Star Link is now available. Password is on the picture by the door. Pets are welcome. $75 PER PET for your stay. Payment sent to address listed below. Steam cleaner in master bedroom for you to use if your pet has an accident in the house. The back yard sitting area is only 75 feet away from the waters edge that has a gradual slope and easy access to the lake. Water shoes recommend. Clams in the water and I don’t want u to cut your feet. There is also wildlife like geese that may come in the yard. We just added a screened in porch as well. The fire pit with swings is great for enjoying the view and just relaxing with family and friends during the day and for evening fires. Our home features a master bedroom with a king bed. The 2 nd bedroom will have 2 queen beds available, and the 3 rd bedroom has a queen bed all Additional bedrooms and bathroom in the basement. 4 th bedroom has 2 twin beds. 5 th bedroom 1-Queen and 2- twin beds and 6 th bedroom 1-Queen. There are 3 full bathrooms. They are very spacious and offer a vanity with a shower/ tub combinations and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, small crockpot, utensils, pressure cooker, pot/ pans, coffee pot with coffee, Kerrig, plates, glasses. ( coffee mugs, wine glasses) and tin pans for cooking. Blue dumpster across the road is ours for your trash. Our home has many items you will need to enjoy your stay with us, so you don’t have to pack everything and the kitchen sink to have a stress free vacation. Our home is located just 5 minutes from Winter which offers a convenience store for food and gas, 3 bars, several churches and a grocery/ hardware store, but if that isn’t what your looking for just head North to Hayward 45 minutes away for shopping, dining, and site seeing. Sawyer county is known for its mountain biking trails, ATV trails to trailer to in Winter or direct access is behind the neighbors shed. Trail is marked with pink ribbons. Follow trail to Burnham Rd. Go left onto road. Cross over. HYW 70 to S. Clover Rd. Follow S. Clover to stop sign then go right. Tuscobia Trail is just ahead. Please respect the neighbors yard. He is kind enough to let us access the trail to be legal to get to the Tuscobia Trails. Snowmobiling trails, fishing, hiking trails and dozens of other great places to eat. Security camera located at the front door, back porch and by dumpster. Cameras turned off once you arrive. We hope that you will enjoy your experience with your family and friends and come back to see us again next year. Pontoon is included with the house rental. You would be responsible for filling the gas tank back to full. Gas cans will be available. Pontoon is not available after Oct. 1st. until June 1 st. We rent someplace in the Winter area every year in October for a weeklong grouse hunt. This cabin was by far our favorite. It was exceptionally cleaned, well kept, well stocked, and well laid out. Chris was a fantastic and accommodating host and made sure everything was set for our arrival. I would highly recommend this property for any group. It is a great combination of multiple comfortable living spaces in a peaceful quiet setting.

It was the perfect location for our annual fall UTV ride. Rooms to accomodate our group comfortably. The screen porch and outdoor grilling area were perfect for evening dinner and hanging out. The private trail to get to the public trail system was a fun little challenge, as it's a tight fit for our 4 seater machines. Overall, we loved it!

This house is absolutely amazing! Beautiful inside and out. We loved the pool table and shuffleboard in the garage! We also played card games, went fishing on the great pontoon, watched a movie and sports! It rained a bit but there were beautiful rainbows! This was our second stay and definitely will be back. Our family consisted of 8 people ages 50 to 91! Thanks you!

We had a great time staying at this property and enjoyed all the amenities it had to offer. Having the pontoon included with the house was amazing and we enjoyed going out for evening rides. There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their own space. The game room in the garage was a great to keep us entertained on a rainy day. We are hoping to stay again in the future!

4 generations (11-92) met from WI and MN in this convenient and comfortable home. We had a couple of questions, but the host was always quick to respond.Pros: comfortable beds, comfortable spaces, fun game room, wonderful and clean lake (muck bottom, but no weeds!!!) with pontoon and toys, well stocked kitchen, 2 fridges, plenty of places to relax alone or together, good showers, clothesline for beach towels, great fire pit swing seating - to name a few!Pro tips: we did need more toilet paper than was provided, so you may want to bring some; you need to leave towels washed and dried so if you'd like a shower in the morning plan ahead when packing; the basement is gloriously cool and dark, but you can find spare blankets in the large bedroom closet if needed; there aren't many hand towels (paper towels are available though!) so if you'd prefer a towel you may want to pack one; there is an upstairs bedroom with 2 queens that is mentioned in the description but not shown in pictures, but it's there! We really found nothing to complain about, just wanted to share some notes we made for next time we return in case they'd be helpful for others as well. All in all a great few days in a great spot and we're looking forward to next time.

We had a great time at the cabin! We had our whole family there and the kids and adults loved the game room, the screened in porch, fire pit, water trampoline, and all the yard space. Lots of games were played and tons of fun was had by all! Thank you for a great stay!

I don’t know where to begin. They have gone above and beyond with this rental. We had the best family vacation ever. She has all the amenities that anyone ever needs for a family. They are very easy to work with, and we will be booking next year! Absolutely love the area.

Fantastic place!

This was perfect for our 3 generation family! The house is beautifully refreshed with comfortable beds, very nice bathrooms and decor. The setting is perfect on a lake and the amount of boats and toys are amazing! We played outside all day when the weather was good and stayed just as busy indoors in the game room and screen porch. They have thought of everything you could need. Very responsive to questions. Would love to come again!

Great place!

We loved the property. The house is spacious and beautiful. The game room provided many hours of fun! We were a little surprised at the cleaning "rules" and that we had to make our own beds. That would be the only negative thing we had to say about this property.

Great Spot In Winter, WI

We had a great time on our long weekend to Winter, WI. This house is in a nice, mostly quiet area on the lake. The house itself is nicely redone and very large with lots of amenities. The garage was a great spot to hang out and watch the game while playing games. The house has plenty of space for watching movies or playing games. Large, clean bedrooms as well. Would definitely stay again.

Family Vacation

It was a very relaxing experience. Having access to a pontoon is an extra bonus. The 3-season porch was very nice. The garage had a lot of fun games. The temperature difference from upstairs to downstairs was quite substantial - varying 8-10 degrees. Difficult to regulate temperature for both families when sleeping on different levels. Overall great time, would rent again!

Family fun

We had such a wonderful stay. Even though it rained on and off one of the days, there was something for everyone in the garage including pool, darts, shuffleboard and arcade games. The screened in porch was lovely with a beautiful view of the lake. The kids loved to fish off the pier, jump on the float and float on the paddle boat. The place was spacious enough for three families with kids ranging from 6-13. We also loved the swing surrounding the campfire pit. Thanks for all the memories!

Best Family Getaway! We're coming back!

Where to start?! First, let me start with the fact my family consists of 8 adults and little additions over the years, now up to 5 total. We have been doing family cabin rentals every summer for over 8 years and have yet to find one that checks all our boxes and doesn't deceive their ad on VRBO - UNTIL NOW!!! I cannot express enough how amazing this cabin was! So much so we're coming back next year!! First repeat stay ever! The owners, Pete & Chris, were the most hospital, accommodating, generous, and their home was incredible. 5 stars on all fronts. It was clean, comfy, spacious, plenty of extra toys [soooo many extra toys, the kids were never bored!]. Plenty of rooms for everyone to sleep comfortably. The screened in porch was a bonus we didnt even realize we loved! And the game room was used everyday! The beach was absolutely perfect, and to our surprise a trampoline and even the pontoon! The lake was very quiet and not super busy but just perfect for swimming, boating, and of course fishing. Best part is the pictures were not deceiving at all, like weve had in the past. They actually dont even do it justice. We highly recommend!!! We cannot wait to come back next year! Thank you Pete and Chris, we truly love your home and appreciate the memories we had with our family there.

Wonderful property!!

Although the weather didn’t cooperate for swimming, kayaking and pontoon rides, we had a blast in the game room and enjoying late night movies in the comfortable livingroom or laughter filled conversations in the screen porch. We also had a great experience at the Rustic Lodge and Patti’s on 70. We received rapid responses from the host when we had questions which was appreciated.it was a great stay and we will be back in the fall!!
