About this property

Kiwi Bach with Panoramic Sea and Harbour View

Enjoy the fantastic Sea, Harbour and Sandspit views of Magical Mangawhai Heads including including Little Barrier, Great Barrier, the Mokohinau Islands and Leigh Peninsula.
Step back in time and enjoy the 70's bach which had a large new deck built in 2011. It is located 10mins walk from the Surf beach and Picnic Bay and 4 mins walk to the camping ground. It is under 5 mins drive to the shops, café and golf course. The family bach is generally more suitable for children who are over 5 years old because the toilet, bathroom and one bedroom are located down the uncovered external stairs. (We suggest holding onto the handrail especially when the steps are wet).

The bach is designed for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing break.

Special conditions:
Please bring your own linen (sheets, pillowcases and towels)

Some linen is available if necessary, but guests are expected to wash and dry it before departure, however if you do require linen, and for us to wash it for you, this could be arranged but you will need to ask when placing your booking, and there will be an extra charge for this.

There is no WI-FI, however you can use your own data when wanting to connect to the Internet.

Due to the nature of the drive and contour of the land our place is not suitable for a boat on a trailer.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave and bring your own linen (towels/sheets/pillowcases).

View was amazing ,and a well equiped Batch ,weather was not good at all so having to go outside to go downstairs for the toilet with two young children wasnt great but the weather is never predictable overall a good stay and close to a lovely beach and eateries we went to Brewed which was superb food

Stayed for 2 nights, easy walk into Mangawhai heads village centre for dinner. only a 10 minute walk to a swimming spot(tide dependent) and a drive under 5 minutes to the main surf beach/parking to do the cliff walk. Great deck to have a drink and hang out in the evenings

We loved our stay! Stunning view, great location, a real kiwi bach. Simple but good for our needs. The only slight inconvenience was that the toilet/bathroom was downstairs and you can only access it by having to go outside - but not a big problem.We would happily come back!

Excellent location close to the beach. The views were spectacular during the day and the group enjoyed not having wifi and simply enjoying each other's company. If you're on the lookout for a disconnect from technology and to experience life back-in-the-day I'd recommend staying here.
