The Barn is modern and self-contained, nestled in the hills above Blueskin Bay, just 15 minutes from Dunedin. Enjoy the tranquility of your rural surroundings and stunning views, while making the most of the local beaches, nursery cafe, art gallery and ecosanctuary.

The Barn is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It is tucked away in total seclusion, surrounded by bush, farmland and enchanting birdsong.

The accommodation is independent of the main house so there is no sharing of amenities and total privacy is guaranteed. A second room (for 2) is available upon request.

Great Getaway

We had such a wonderful stay at The Barn. Don’t let the name fool you as this is a lovely, modern, well-appointed space. The hosts were terrific and we enjoyed meeting all their animals, including Arnold the pig! The place is secluded, 2 miles up a dirt road, but only a 20 minute drive into Dunedin. Nice local restaurant also just a few minute drive away.

Loved it!

Amazing property & barn, we enjoyed the peace and quiet! Loved playing with the little piggy, we still can't stop talking about him. Very lovely hosts, loved the surroundings and it was a beautiful drive from Dunedin if you don't go on a main highway. We'll be back!

Cozy and comfortable

Amazing accommodation, amazing hosts, amazing views! Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Even though it was raining when we arrived we were welcomed personally. Our host lit a fire in the fireplace and the barn was warm and cozy. Bed was comfortable with a wonderful view of the stars at night and the valley in the morning.
