Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Family vacation

Perfect home for our family of seven. Exactly what we needed and was listed. Close to the beach access points for easy walking. Will definitely be back.

Cute Beach House

Loved the decor and its location being away from downtown area and beach at that end was much less crowded. Loved the view of lagoon since we didn’t go with oceanfront. Nice to have 3 bathrooms!

Spacious cottage

The cottage was very clean and spacious. It was g reat to have a bathroom in every room. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We enjoyed the walking trail to the pier. The management team was quick to respond .We will definitely visit again!

Quite the experience

Overall, the home was gorgeous. It was in a prime location with great amenities. The home had modern decor, looked clean, and smelled nice. Unfortunately our visit was cut short due to bed bugs in one of the rooms. We arrived very late and upon inspecting the bedding, bugs were noticed in one of the beds. We notified Vacasa the next day and they had someone to come out and inspect. Bed bugs were confirmed and we had to vacate right away. Unfortunately, there was no relocation for us so we had to get a hotel for the remainder of our stay.

Great house, convenient location

We recently visited with my family + in-laws. House was great, very clean and nice inside. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach (via Lagoon Pass Park - LPP). Paved sidewalk directly to the beach (have to walk under the bridge in the sand to get to ocean front). We did pay $15 to park a car at the LPP one day. House seemed very safe, we left all our beach stuff out and unsecured under the house every night without issues. Pool was great too. Enjoyed our stay. Only issue was the dishwasher didn't work, but they sent someone to look at it quickly. They were unable to fix it during our stay though. Would definitely stay again - great view of the lagoon from porch. Pretty sunsets.

Ok but definitely could have been better

The house was overall beautiful but the furniture was dirty the walls were also dirty the ice maker didn't work on fridge the top spread on one of the beds was dirty also while grilling ran out of propane called and asked could someone bring more out never heard back from anyone nice location and friendly neighbors but most definitely could use a deep cleaning also not enough washcloths and towels 2 per room

Great for a large family (with littles!)

My wife and I stayed at this property for six days in May. We have 7 kids (from 2-19 years old) and it was perfect for us. Having a bathroom in every bedroom (and one downstairs) was such a blessing. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots and pans if you are planning on cooking. We did not use the grill, but it appeared to be a gas grill on the ground level. The porch looked out over the lagoon and made for a very peaceful spot. The beds were fair. The pillows were nice. All the TV's worked great. No Wi-fi issues during our stay (but we had great weather every day). We bounced back and forth from the pool to the beach multiple times each day. Beach access was super convenient for our family. We stayed in Unit O which had a walking/biking trail just behind it that led straight to the bridge where we could cross the road or go under the bridge for easy beach access. The beach in that area was always under a red flag, but all of my older kids and I were able to enjoy going out into the surf without any difficult tides. It was about 4 miles to Walmart and, with no traffic, was roughly a 10 minute commute one way. There were several small beach shops in between, but I only went to Waves to pick up some milk. We highly recommend this location and hope that we can stay here again soon.

Great cottage overlooking the lagoon!

This was a great find! We had to switch plans last minute due to hurricane weather and this did not disappoint! Beach access was right across the street and the balcony overlooked the lagoon.

Great family vacation

Property was very spacious, well decorated. Kitchen was nice. Not a huge kitchen if you plan on doing lots of cooking for a large group. Easy walk to the beach. Shops and restaurants nearby, not walking distance but short drive. Enjoyed our stay.

Great little beach escape

West Side Cottages are lovely. Our place was very clean, had all the amenities. My ONLY comment was that at night it was very hard to see the complex. This is, of course, not at all reflective of the condo, but the management should get some floodlights going so people can find it at night! Other than that, I had teens with me, and they had a blast.

Perfect Family Vacation Home

We had a fantastic stay! Absolutely loved that this space faced the lagoon with the fishing pier so close by. The area felt safe, close enough to all the fun Gulf Shores has to offer but far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. Our walk to the beach was also great...loved that we could walk under the bridge to avoid crossing the road with our kiddos. Highly recommend this space for a getaway of any kind!!

Ahhhh....Serenity

Where to begin! Great location away from all the traffic in Orange Beach. Looks like a new unit. Has a beautiful view of the lagoon. Easy access to the lagoon pass and the the gulf. The lagoon is an excellent place for children and adults to lounge in the water and on the sand. The beds were comfortable although I wasn’t crazy about the waterproof mattress covers for it made the beds a little warm at night. That being said the AC worked very well and provided relief!! The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved having space to spread out. Decorated well and very comfortable. Their were many board/card games for adults and kids to play. My only complaint was that the pool area wasn’t maintained very well during our stay. It may have been due to the July 4th holiday but the pool restroom wasn’t clean and the pool itself was cloudy and lots of sand in it. Overall I highly recommend the unit! We had a wonderful time and will stay again if we get the opportunity. Kudos the the owner and Courtney at Vacasa.....well done!!
