Whispering Pines is the perfect getaway cabin for that much-needed family getaway to the mountain! This two-level mountain home is well-equipped and offers a rural, yet elegant interior decor that will please everyone in your group. Prepare delicious homemade meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, or treat your friends to memorable snacks for that fun movie night you've been planing. The spacious living room area has a flatscreen TV and plenty of comfortable furniture for you all to relax on. If you happen to visit during cold months, the wood-burning stove will warm up the entire place in a matter of minutes. However, if you visit during summer, outside is a great place for the kids to play. This retreat also boasts a spacious deck equipped with an outdoor dining area and even a gas grill–get ready to host cookouts and surprise your friends with delicious meals!

Whispering Pines is within walking distance to the Sierra Cedars Pond, but if you'd like to experience something more 'city-like', you can always drive three and a half miles up north to Shaver Lake Heights. There, dining options will be at your fingertips. Stock up with goodies and veggies at Bob's Shaver Lake Market or try one of the many local restaurants. One of California’s premier waterskiing and fishing lakes is less than four miles away. Yes, we're talking about Shaver Lake. It’s popular for water sports activities that include water skiing, jet skis, and windsurfing. Canoeing and kayaking are perfect activities thanks to the Shaver’s quiet coves. More adventurous people would totally visit the China Peak Mountain Resort, which is 22 miles north. This resort features seven chair lifts, two rope tows, and 1,679 feet of vertical skiing.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
