True ski in and out. Great location. A few years older but still in great condition and served our purpose! Nice large hot tub on deck. Property manager very responsive. Would stay again.

A real ski in/ski out!

The property is excellent, and the host is great and responsive, but what makes this property is that it's located above the elk chairlift and is either a 30 second ski or a 2 minute walk to first chair. Exactly what we were looking for!

Perfect location

This is our second time at this location. It’s the perfect ski in/ski out, basically right to the door. Kitchen is well stocked, cozy living room with gas fireplace. Easy access and parking. Hot tub is great and very private. We will definitely go again.

True Ski in Ski out

The condo is well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The beds are comfortable and the fireplace is great after a day of skiing. The best part is: you only need to get out the door and you’re on the ski run. I recommend this condo if you want a true ski in/ski out. The host is easy to get a hold of and answered my questions quickly.

Family ski get away

This is the 3rd year we’ve met in Fernie at this chalet. Once again had a great time. Great space with all we need. Clean and cozy. Hot tub on the deck. Barbecue works great. True ski in and ski out.

Perfect location for a weekend of skiing

This place is exactly as advertised. An amazing place for a weekend of fun. Being able to hop on the hill and go made it easy to get first chair. And at the end of the day you ride right to the driveway. Can’t get much better than this.

Beautiful Fernie Townhouse

Well kept property - perfect for ski vacation. The access to the hill is directly behind the unit. The unit has an amazing fire place for warming up after a day on the slopes. The living room is big with lots of seating - easy to watch movie together or play board games - lovely !!

Wonderful Vacation

It was an absolutely wonderful property. The location and the view were phenomenal. The property was very well maintained and had all of the features of home and more. It was a very well stocked property with absolutely everything a family would require. The hot tub was especially appreciated after a day on the hill. The ski in / out was one of many fantastic features. We would not hesitate to book this property again or recommend it to anyone travelling to Fernie. Lastly, an extra thank you to the owners for a wonderful experience.

Perfect Ski-In/Ski-Out Gem at Fernie Alpine Resort!

Our family had a fantastic ski vacation at the Thunder Ridge Chalet! The true ski-in/ski-out access was unbeatable – steps from the slopes. The chalet is incredibly well-kept and cozy, perfect for unwinding after a day of shredding.The highlight for us was the living room. It's spacious with ample seating, making it ideal for family movie nights and board games by the roaring fireplace. Richard, the owner, is truly dedicated to providing a top-notch experience. The kitchen was exceptionally well-organized and stocked with high-quality cookware, making meal prep a breeze. We were also incredibly impressed with the hot tub service. It was serviced twice during our week-long stay, a first for us, and maintained a perfect 105F – just what we needed to soothe our sore muscles.Fernie Alpine Resort is a skier's paradise. From gentle greens and long blue runs to challenging bowls and double blacks, there's something for everyone, and it can snow here! We were amazed by the resort's sheer size and how uncrowded it was. It's truly a hidden gem.We highly recommend Thunder Ridge Chalet for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient ski vacation at Fernie. We will be back!"

The condo was very convenient to access the Elk chair so we could easily come back for lunch. The hot tub and comfortable living room were appreciated. The garage floor was in need of cleaning (we did it) upon arrival. The dishwasher’s top rack was broken—a persist inconvenience. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

Great ski in/ski out property

Had a great time at this property. We’ve stayed at several ski in ski out properties and this one was by far the easiest to access. The kitchen was equipped with most everything we needed. Barbecue worked great. Nice large hot tub on the back deck that worked really well. Property owner was really easy to contact and quick to respond to questions we had. We’d definitely stay there again.

We loved our time at the condo! The location was perfect to easily access the ski hill, plus the easy access to hiking and snow shoeing was an added bonus! We found the condo to be well equipped with everything we needed - particularly the kitchen! Great stay, highly recommend.

Location and hot tub!

This condo backs onto a ski run. We needed only walk round the back, pop on our skis and go. To come back it’s a ride up the Elm chair and a ski down to the condo. We also loved having a private hot tub. The condo was very clean and very spacious. There are three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. The beds are firm but very springy, so every time my husband or I moved the bed would creak and we would jostle each other. The pillows were a bit too soft and thin. However we are a family of 4 and there are 4 beds so to get a better sleep on our third night, my husband moved to one of the other beds and we both slept great. The shower head in the master bathroom could use an upgrade. The pressure is very good but it comes out in many narrow streams that felt a bit like needles... but showering the other bathroom with tub worked fine- same shower head but you can stand a bit farther from it. :) Overall we had a wonderful ski holiday and would stay here again.

Everything was clean, Dave was really great and responsive to messages. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the hot tub was fantastic! We were so close to the ski hill we could watch skiers go by sitting on the deck.
