Liked: Check-in, communication, location
We recently stayed here for two nights and found both pros and cons. The biggest advantage was location. Lake City was a great base for exploring the area and had a fun downtown to explore. San Cristobal Lake had beautiful scenery and good paddle boarding. There are limited areas there to spend the day, try across the lake from the boat launch. The lodging was mostly adequate for our needs. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had most of what we needed. There are several maintenance and comfort issues that should be addressed:- The picnic table was unusable due to severely warped wood. - The grill was dirty and cooked inconsistently.- The bathroom ceiling fan was very dirty and should be cleaned, both for appearance and potential fire safety reasons. - The living room would benefit from an additional lamp, as the only option for evening lighting was the overhead ceiling fan fixture, which was super bright. - The front door contains a large glass panel and could use a curtain/shade to block the intense afternoon sun that heats up the living room. Our solution to this was to hang a towel over it.The biggest drawback was the price. At over 1,000 for a two-night stay, we felt the property was significantly overpriced for what it offered. In fairness, we chose to book it because lodging options for three people in the Lake City area were limited during our travel dates. The location and scenery were excellent but in our opinion the value did not match the cost.
We come to Lake City every year and explore the various options for housing arrangements. We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. It is close to town and the Lake and met all of our needs
Perfect for our family and friends very nice owner
Will definitely re book on our next stay in LC. Back yard and fire pit and views are amazing. Had everything our family and friends needed for a short vacay in LC.
Had a very nice time staying here. There was plenty of room for me and my friends. And have the kitchen available was a nice plus! Easy check-in/out process.
Great house for us to crash at while climbing at the ice park. Great kitchen, sitting area, and beds. We were also impressed with the property manager that came and fixed an issue within an hour of us reaching out. Great job, Hunter!
Stayed a few days for the Wine and Music Festival. Fit our needs perfectly. All the amenities of home. Great to come back to and relax, after music and other excursions. Leaves were popping nicely.
