Quiet and cozy cabin with full kitchen and two bedrooms adjoining Lake Barkley.
Get out of town! 200,000 acres of public land. Over 60,000 acres of water. Clean and comfortable is our highest goal and this cabin will not disappoint. Perfect home base for outdoor adventure. Two twin beds in each room. This cabin also features a full kitchen. Just across the street from Lake Barkley, the property joins Lake Barkley State Park. Less than a mile from Boots Randolph Golf Course, and five miles from Land Between the Lakes. Small convenience store on site sells Hunt Brothers pizza, deli sandwiches, bait, gas, ice, beer, etc. Tony & Karen (Owners) live on the property and strive to make sure your stay is perfect. Our area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, food, and shopping. We grew up here! We hunt, fish, hike, golf, mountain bike, dirt bike, kayak, and boat. We've been taking our children to The Elk and Bison Prairie, Planetarium, Home Place, Nature Center, Turkey Bay and others for years. We know the area! Our decades of experience will help you plan your next adventure! Pet friendly with a $25 pet fee. NO SMOKING.

The cabin was real nice and clean. Everything in it worked well the grounds were nice and clean. It was real quiet the only noise were the crickets outside. The owners were very helpful as far as where to go and things to do in the area. We will be going back and staying at these little cabins every time we go.

Dirty, dead bugs everywhere. Place is very outdated, internet spotty, could not get cell phone reception. AC very noisy. Would not recommend to anyone. We left as early as possible.

Review of Fish Lake Resort

Property owner answered emails promptly. Was nice and helpful. Floors were cold as they were all tile so a couple of rugs would be helpful. Cant comment on all the amenities as we were off season so not much was available yet for about a month. Cabins are perfect for 3 or 4 people. Having a kitchen was nice. I would stay there again

My name is Tony Nolcox. My wife, Karen, and I live on the property. I have spent a lifetime in this area hunting, guiding, fishing, hiking, and camping. We raised our two sons in Cadiz and this is home. We both have degrees in agriculture from Murray State University and Karen teaches agriculture at Trigg Co. High School. Right now kayak fishing is probably my favorite way to enjoy the outdoors with an occasional elk hunt thrown in.

Why they chose this property

I saw this property was formerly a local icon that had fallen into disrepair. I'm big on being a part of the community and this is an opportunity to make something really nice again. Something that would add to the community. I also really enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I love to hear stories about hunting and fishing trips or any outdoor adventure. This property is everything in one.

What makes this property unique

Fish Island Resort is located perfectly in the middle of Land Between the Lakes and right on top of Barkley Lake and the state park. There are so many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors from this location. I knew it was perfect. With the new four lane road coming through which will include hiking and biking lanes all the way across Land Between the Lakes, I really think this is THE place! Easy travel from I24 to our resort yet when you are here you are in a truly rural setting with wildlife all around.
