Passed the Public Accommodations Inspection by the Gallatin City County Health Department with permit 16180 and Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services Food & Consumer Safety Section with license 304097 and have the Conditional Use Permit for the East Gallatin Zoning District.
Located in the Outlaw Country equestrian subdivision north of Bozeman, you may enjoy sunrises, sunsets, outdoor activities, or just peace and quiet. Dine on the patio or relax in the 900 sq ft main room.
You are far enough away from town for star gazing without interference from city light and close enough to have pizza delivered. You are located within 10 minutes of most Bozeman shopping centers, grocery stores and restaurants.
There are gravel running trails located across the street. The trail head for mountain hikes is 2 miles away.
Close to Bridger Bowl ski area (30 minutes), Lewis & Clark Caverns (45 minutes), Big Sky ski area (60 minutes) and Yellowstone Park (90 minutes). You can spend the day skiing or at Yellowstone Park, and have a relaxing evening waiting for you when you return.
As a Vacation Rental Guest, you can expect more privacy than you would find in a condo because there are no adjacent walls to the 2nd story living area - just 360 degrees of great views. This 1500 sq ft living area is located above the 1500 sq ft garage where your car is located. There is room to park several cars in the garage if you have company.
We also have a crib, playpen, and high chair for younger families.
The patio is 10' by 80'. The covered patio allows you to be outdoors in the rain.
Horses are quiet animals so you get the benefit of peace and quiet as well as the rural Montana feel. We have seen deer, fox, and numerous types of birds (eagles, hawks, quail) in the back pasture.

My wife and I love the Bozeman area and have been here since 1980. It is close to so many recreational activities that we try to take advantage of them as much as possible. The benefits of living in the equestrian subdivision are you can see the open spaces that provide privacy and quiet. Our 3 kids are married and living around the country and we have two grandchildren.
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
On the map you will see that we benefit from open spaces and a neighborhood setting. We moved to the equestrian subdivision in 2000. In, 2008, we built an oversized garage (30 x 50) onto the house with a second story above the garage that would offer guests a quiet/private place to stay. We opened for guests in 2009.
One picture window faces the sunrise over the Bridger Mountains. The other picture window faces the sunset over the Gallatin Valley and lights of the cities. There is central air conditioning for your total comfort. Sitting under the covered porch, even in a rain shower, is very relaxing and the rainbows are awesome.
My husband and I are from Oregon and booked this rental for three weeks in October. We wanted to experience Montana; the Bozeman area specifically. We would give this rental the highest rating. This home is incredibly private. We never knew if the owners were around. We had our own private entrance, the use of a completely clutter free three car garage and felt like the property was entirely ours during our visit.
There is everything you need in this home for your comfort. Both bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and you have full use of a large closet and empty dressers. We slept in the King bed and it was wonderfully comfortable. There is a large selection of linens, towels, blankets, pillows, etc. There is a large laundry room, with ironing board/iron and an extra toilet/bathroom sink. They furnished laundry detergent and stain remover. The large bathroom, with shower/tub had plenty of empty drawers to use and I took a bath every night. They furnished all the necessities in the bathroom: toilet paper, bar soap, and hand soap. The kitchen was wonderful. High end cabinetry, silverware and dishes as well as coffee pot, tea pot, toaster, etc. You can easily cook in this unit, which I did many times. When you sit at the table you have a view outside the window of the mountains.
You wake up in the morning to these beautiful views out every single window in the place. You see horses in their pastures out every window. You can easily have a wonderful walk right outside the renal. If you stay on one side of the road you are walking on a rural road going by other homes that have horses. If you cross over the through road you are walking around a more suburban collection of homes.
The town of Bozeman has lots of restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and shopping. Very modern looking town. Highly recommend the Storm Castle Cafe next to the college for breakfast.....they also serve lunch. Recommend the Custard French Toast. A bakery we love and highly recommend is the Wild Crumb Bakery.....get there early or see if you can order by phone as the place is very popular.
Lastly if you have never experienced Montana's "Big Sky" you are in for something that you will remember for a lifetime.......simply surreal and breathtaking. I am so glad we picked Bozeman to visit and especially lucky we picked this home for our first long VRBO. The owner, Bob, was welcoming, generous and was a man of great integrity. Enjoy!!!
Bob and Jean were great. Awesome house, cool layout and the garage space was great for our drift boat. Great room and kitchen had tons of room, and the horses all around the house was a nice way to start the day. Outlaw hideout was a great place to stay and worked perfect for our multi-day fishing trip to the Bozeman area.
Had a great stay at the Outlaw! Very comfy, beautiful views & watching the horses was an added plus!
Bob was super helpful with directions & ideas for our trip down to Yellowstone.
Great restaurant in town called the Mint for dinner.
Our son was delighted to find a huge collection of movies for kids and adults and a treasure chest full of games. The pictures do not do this place justice. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals for our large family and dinner guests. There are incredible views in all directions and lots of light. Extra folding chairs fit around the dinning table so our family of 8 fit comfortably. It is quiet in this location and you are super close to Bozeman. Only a 5 minute drive from Sypes canyon for some hiking or mountain biking. The property owners are very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a stellar trip. Bob even talked to us about the water sources for the area and gave us tips as we looked for property in the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the "Outlaw Hideout" while visiting Bozeman. It is located in a very quiet location with lovely scenic views from all the windows. Just a short distance from downtown Bozeman and conveniently located near the airport. We found it very well equipped which enabled us to make several meals and didn't find that we missed out on anything. It was always nice to arrive back to our comfortable retreat after touring around the local area seeing the sights. We enjoyed visiting the Lewis and Clark Caverns and local Dinosaur Museum. Another day we spent touring around Yellowstone Park and enjoyed many hikes. We recommend this "Hideout" to anyone who wants a clean and very quiet location to stay while in the Bozeman area. Thank you Jean and Bob.
The owners are awesome and the set up is great! They have thought of just about everything to make your stay a pleasant one. From a big garage to a beautiful yard with a porch and bbq. Spectacular views from all the windows. There's games and movies. A kitchen full of utensils. And in the summer the air conditioning is nice! We look forward to our visit next year.

The cost of the rental and damage deposit is NOT due until you arrive even though you will get notices ahead of time. This way you don't need to worry about a cancellation fee if your plans change for any reason. I only charge $1 to book, but when Expedia bought out Homeaway/VRBO, they added a service fee that goes to them and is charged at the time of booking.
