Fire island is magical. Finding a property is hard. Finding a large property with a pool is very hard. We overall had a great time at this home and would book again in the future.

Overpriced, run down, but has a pool/hot tub. Didn’t love it.
This house is a 4B/2 bath. 1 king, 2 queens, and 1 tiny room. 2 bathrooms and each has an outdoor shower, which was great. There is a pool and hot tub. We did not love our stay. The house was not ready at 4pm check-in - we arrived to cleaners wrapping up. Other issues: [1] washer/dryer was broken so we had to use the same towels, sheets, clothes all week. We were informed of this less than 1 hour before check in. The host was not proactive—we had to demand he send someone to pick up laundry, but they were late and non-communicative [2] animals got into the house and ate our food multiple times because not all sliding doors close and the mesh screens have huge holes in them [3] the living room has no AC and traps heat making it an unbearable furnace (and forcing us to open the doors) [4] the pool has no skimmer so it was dirty all week [5] a bed room’s curtain was held up by tape and fell down easily [6] the dishwasher doesn’t clean well and the ice machine doesn’t make enough ice [7] all propane tanks were empty so we could not use the grill, and new propane was not delivered as the host promised.Overall, this VRBO is overpriced and the host should invest greater care into the place.

Disappointed
This home, while well-photographed, falls short in several critical ways. When we arrived, we discovered the hot tub full of leaves and some of the jet covers were on the table. When we tried to turn it on only one jet worked. We checked in on Wednesday at 4pm and made the host aware of the issue the next day, Thursday. Although she was very responsive, the issue was never resolved. A few people came out on Friday and Monday. I spoke to the hot tub cleaner, and he told us he was aware it didn’t work and was cleaning it every week. When I asked for a slight refund, the host would not take accountability, and after many messages offered a discount on a future rental. I would not rent this house again all considered. Other issues we did not complain about, but as a future renter you should know are the following. The bedrooms have AC, but the main part of the home does not, which is not an issue when you can open the front door and the wall of doors in the back creating a cross breeze. Unfortunately, the front slider door did not have a screen door and the screens on the all the back screen doors are full of holes and rips. Making it impossible to have them open. The pool deck is overgrown with weeds and not maintained as well as the rest of the gardens. The Pines are a rustic place, so many things can be overlooked. A quality host takes pride in their rental and takes accountability when what is advertised and rented is not delivered. Unfortunately this where the host failed.
Had the absolute best time staying in this gorgeous and unique house! Thank you Antoine for making everything so seamless and enjoyable!!

Michael was a perfect guest. Communication was excellent throughout his stay, and he treated the property with great care and respect. He left everything in impeccable condition and was a pleasure to host. I recommend him without reservation to any VRBO host and would be delighted to welcome him back anytime
