"Beautiful, lush, quiet spot with great outdoor space, pleasing interior design. We loved the proximity to a local farmstand and bay beach. Had everything we wanted for a relaxing vacation!"

  • What a beach cottage should be

"We stayed in this charming cottage for a week in July. It was exactly what we wanted and the location, quality and property all exceeded our expectations. The owners, Linda & Andy, have put an incredible amount of effort into this cottage, and it shows. It is decorated with an attention to detail that is amazing, and it is a property that in person, is every bit as good as the pictures. First, it is a very private cottage. While you have neighbors, the houses are spaced and the landscaping is such that you have all the privacy you want. The water is right in front of the house, and I found myself waking up early to sit either in the dining room or on the deck watching the bay come alive while the family slept. It was a total de-stresser and was an amazing way to start the day. The house is conveniently located about a 10 min drive to Southampton village, and 10 mins to the amazing beaches of Southampton, including Coopers (which requires you to pay to park) and Road D (which doesn't but you have to get there early to get a parking spot). The pool at the house was awesome - just the right size to take a dip, and allowed for private sunbathing. It is set in an amazing garden that has to be seen to be believed. It is like a postcard all to itself and was a welcome respite from the heat in the middle of the day. On the "nitty gritty", the beds/linens were very comfortable, there are more than enough towels/blankets and sleeping accommodations. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, but make sure you do a grocery run before you turn up. If you want spices/etc. for cooking that you use regularly, remember to throw some in your bag before you come so you don't have to buy a whole bottle and leave it (e.g. pepper, seasoning salt for grilling, etc.). The outdoor grill is excellent, so be sure to take advantage of it! The home has a regular coffee maker and a Nespresso (original) machine. Bring capsules if you want to use it as we didn't find a place to buy them in town. Andy and Linda were outstanding hosts and live nearby. They were great about answering questions and providing info about the area. To sum it up, when we drove away from this property, we were i) wondering exactly when we were coming back and ii) regretting that we were leaving. That is the definition of a successful stay!"

  • House and pool above average- beachfront full of seaweed and unusable.

"This house was very nicely decorated , spotless, and fully stocked. Deck was old and in need of repair as was outside patio table. There was no key given for the front door, and no usable house alarm. Pool was heated and well maintained. Could use some new lounge chairs, as the ones provided in the garage were old and dirty. I would recommend bringing your own. The biggest problem was that the pristine beach advertised, was 200 feet from the house, but the sand was almost totally covered with piles of seaweed for miles in each direction and unusable. During the last week of July when we stayed, no one along the shore was seen using the beach. Local contact for the owner was responsive for queries regarding garbage and internal fire alarms. It was a shame that the extra money we spent on getting beachfront property was wasted because we couldn't use the beach."

  • Great location, clean, updated kitchen, comfortable.

"The house is in a great location close to shopping and restaurants. The owners renovated this property beautifully with all new appliances in the kitchen as well as all the necessities needed for the kitchen and bathroom. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and would definitely rent this property again."
