  • A great two week break

"My family and I have just returned to the UK after a great stay at this fantastic Southampton House. The property was as described, and Peter was very helpful and responsive both during the booking process and while we were at the house. The house is ideal for a large group (we were only four but there is more than enough space for 12), the games room, the pool and the wide selection of places to sit outside were clear winners for us. The most popular place for eating was sitting on the balcony with a lovely view of the bay and right next to the great BBQ - many perfect evenings. We spent time on the local beaches, exploring Southampton, East Hampton and Montauk as well as trips to the wineries on the North fork. We also rented a boat for the day from Hampton Bays to explore from the water - great fun! The best restaurant we found (when I could be dragged away from the BBQ) was CowFish only a few mins drive away. If you want a water view, with plenty to keep you occupied, in a spacious well maintained house - then this is the place. Thank you Peter!"

  • First Family Vacation

"We had absolutely amazing first family vacation with our one year old daughter at this beautiful house. The grounds and house had every amenity needed for an amazing summer house vacation. My daughter loved the pool so much I could not get her out of it. The homeowner was super responsive prior to us arriving and left all the info we needed for the house and local attractions. Already booked again for next year. My family can't wait to go back. We made memories that will last forever. Perfect vacation for a family with young kids."

  • What a beach cottage should be

"We stayed in this charming cottage for a week in July. It was exactly what we wanted and the location, quality and property all exceeded our expectations. The owners, Linda & Andy, have put an incredible amount of effort into this cottage, and it shows. It is decorated with an attention to detail that is amazing, and it is a property that in person, is every bit as good as the pictures. First, it is a very private cottage. While you have neighbors, the houses are spaced and the landscaping is such that you have all the privacy you want. The water is right in front of the house, and I found myself waking up early to sit either in the dining room or on the deck watching the bay come alive while the family slept. It was a total de-stresser and was an amazing way to start the day. The house is conveniently located about a 10 min drive to Southampton village, and 10 mins to the amazing beaches of Southampton, including Coopers (which requires you to pay to park) and Road D (which doesn't but you have to get there early to get a parking spot). The pool at the house was awesome - just the right size to take a dip, and allowed for private sunbathing. It is set in an amazing garden that has to be seen to be believed. It is like a postcard all to itself and was a welcome respite from the heat in the middle of the day. On the "nitty gritty", the beds/linens were very comfortable, there are more than enough towels/blankets and sleeping accommodations. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, but make sure you do a grocery run before you turn up. If you want spices/etc. for cooking that you use regularly, remember to throw some in your bag before you come so you don't have to buy a whole bottle and leave it (e.g. pepper, seasoning salt for grilling, etc.). The outdoor grill is excellent, so be sure to take advantage of it! The home has a regular coffee maker and a Nespresso (original) machine. Bring capsules if you want to use it as we didn't find a place to buy them in town. Andy and Linda were outstanding hosts and live nearby. They were great about answering questions and providing info about the area. To sum it up, when we drove away from this property, we were i) wondering exactly when we were coming back and ii) regretting that we were leaving. That is the definition of a successful stay!"
