About this property

Beautiful La Casa cottage

Our beautiful lake view cottage is centrally situated 35 minutes between Kelowna and Vernon on West Side Road in the gated community of La Casa Lakeside Cottage Resort. We have everything you will need to have a fabulous vacation in the Okanagan!

Our beach-themed cottage has a master suite on the upper level with a new king bed, air conditioning unit and private bathroom. The second bedroom is a quaint, comfortable double bed in the loft area. The third bedroom has a new queen bed and is on the main floor. The couch has a pull out for extra space. Our family-friendly cottage also has a playpen, high chair and baby gate for those with young children. The upper floor master bathroom and the main floor bathroom both are full baths that include bathtubs.

All you need to bring is food and sunscreen, everything else is provided for you in the cottage from cooking utensils to beach towels. Enjoy some wine on the glass-panelled deck, fire up the gas bbq for dinner while watching the sun setting on the lake. If you are looking to work from home, we have wireless Shaw internet (Fibre + Gig plan, up to 1 gb download speeds) that is good to be shared on up to 20 devices.

The location of our cottage is halfway between the beach and the upper amenities. There is a grassy lot across the road that can be used for outdoor games and is a part of the beautiful view of the lake. You can keep an eye on your kids playing while you relax on the deck! At the end of the loop is a trail that takes you on a quick walk down to the beach. *PLEASE NOTE that La Casa is built on a hillside and therefore the walk to the beach and up to the store can be steep. You can choose to drive instead.

You can enjoy the 2 outdoor swimming pools, 3 hot tubs, and a private beach with an aqua-park and marina. The resort also offers mini-golf, volleyball, kids playground, tennis courts, restaurant, convenience/liquor store and entertainment area. As well, you can rent a golf cart from La Casa resort to help you get to all the amenities.

During the warmer months, there is access to Crown land and the ATV trails that back onto the resort. Go horseback riding at Fintry Farms. At Fintry Provincial Park, just 2 km south of the resort, spend an afternoon, swimming at the sandy beach, visiting the historic Manor house, labyrinth and waterfall or hiking on the many local trails. You can visit over 14 wineries in the area. Golf at Spallumcheen, Predator Ridge or Gallagher’s Canyon. In the winter use the ATV trails for snow-shoe, cross country skiing, or if downhill is your thing Big White and Silverstar are 1.5 hr away.

Beautiful cottage on the lake side of resort. Lots of amenities for kids (park, pool, theatre). Small restaurant and store with everything you need or forget to bring. Debbie was a great host. Appreciate the small touches like birthday hats for the kids as we were celebrating a 2nd birthday.

Quiet cozy retreat

We really enjoyed this lovely home in the La Casa community. It is a lovely spot and the house was comfy and clean and had everything we needed. Debbie was a great host and easy to get ahold of for all our needs, we even adjusted our dates a bit and she was always accommodating.

This is a beautiful little chalet in a gated community. It was fully stocked and comfortable. We even came back to a power outage but there was a box of lights with plenty of batteries. The beds were comfortable and it slept the 5 of us well. We didn't use the facilties because we spent our time in town. The only thing that wasn't enjoyable was the road out. It gets pretty narrow at times but the chalet was worth it.

Beautiful Vacation Home!

We loved our vacation at this rental. The owner was amazing, she responded quickly to any messages, and was so wonderful to deal with. The home itself was very clean, and well decorated. The location of the rental was perfect, close to everything in the resort. We are hopeful to book another trip to this rental, and would definitely recommend this rental to anyone else :)

This was a great stay interrupted by the Westlake fire. It was lovely to see the view across the lake each day but as the end of the week approached the view disappeared. The accommodation was great and we loved the swimming pools. If you love challenging curved roads this is the place for you but there are a fair number of pull offs to let impatient drivers by.

Great family getaway

This particular property was unique with a common space across the road allowing views of the lake and space to play small games (bocce etc). There was a variety of activities for all ages. My kids enjoyed the partial shade provided by the mini golf. 2 pools plus water trampolines allowed for great variety and more space. The resort we chose was well stocked and Debbie responded quickly to any questions we had during our stay.

Fantastic stay!

This property is beautifully situated on the lake with a gorgeous view. Host was super easy to deal with and very responsive. We are boat owners so I will give some info for anyone taking a boat. The property sits high on a hill and roads are narrow and steep. Takes expert driving skills. The boat slip at the marina is very much worth the cost. Would not recommend taking the boat in and out every day. Also wouldn’t recommend launching from the resort but rather go to the provincial park. Host had very good info on this. The suite is exactly as pictured. Had everything we could possibly need. Was so nice to have a pool!! People in the community are SO friendly and helpful. Felt very safe. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Stay

We recently stayed at this home and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Debbie was easy to communicate with and responded to my questions promptly. Her home has everything you need for a carefree stay. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Great a/c throughout the house. La Casa Resort is a beautiful community, with lots of amenities such as mini golf, swimming pools, tennis courts. There’s also a small cantina and store. We enjoyed the beach area and the kids loved the three aqua parks. Overall, we had a great experience staying at this home and highly recommend it if your are looking for a nice relaxing stay. Hope to stay here again in the future. Thanks again Debbie for opening your home to us.

Perfect place on the Lake!

Exactly the getaway we needed! This cottage had everything we needed to feel like home! It is in an incredible location that allowed us to enjoy the Lake and Okanagan Valley! We had 4 people in our group and it was comfortable. Moving throughout the space didn't feel crowded... comfortable beds and furniture added to the home feel.. The deck is everything they say it is but the windows are the selling point. The entire wall of living space was window. It definitely makes the place feel open and airy. The cottage was clean and welcoming! Definite 5 out of 5 for us! Thank you!

Lake Getaway

Our arrival could not have been easier. The owners were prompt in getting us all the required information to enter the gated community, check-in and the property access code. The community is very clean, peaceful and has an amazing view of the lake. The house was clean, bright and open; a great property for a medium sized family. The house was fully equipped with family games, puzzles, and couple of novels. The house has an entertainment centre so you can access your personal Netflix account as well. Some small items that would have enhanced our stay would have been coffee, some common spices and cooking oil, however the owners made up for it with a generous reimbursement due to the boil water advisory in place during our stay. It’s a place we would gladly book again!

We spent four summer holidays at La Casa before purchasing our own cottage. We are both born and raised in B.C. and have lived throughout the Okanagan Valley. My husband also lived in Manitoba for 20 years while in the military, and now we live in Alberta and thoroughly enjoy our B.C. visits! We have three adult children and one teen, who all love the La Casa lifestyle.

Why they chose this property

As we were both born and raised in the Okanagan, we are happy to have a rental property that allows us to visit our beautiful home province and share its beauty with others! We fell in love with La Casa over the last few summers. It has a ton of amenities, from pools and hot tubs to the store and the restaurant. During the day you can keep as busy as you choose, between the beach, pools, playground, tennis, volleyball, minigolf or abundance of trails, or enjoy a quiet day on the deck. Though our cottage location is central, it's also quiet and peaceful in the evenings you can feel the calming energy of the lake. We are close to Kelowna for shopping and West Kelowna for winery tours and golf.

What makes this property unique

Our property has a lot of charm and unique features, it is not like the typical rentals. We have spent attention to detail, providing the elements that we enjoy when travelling, including a king master bed and a fridge with filtered water and ice. Our cottage has been decorated in calming shades of blue with beachy accents. It's a great location that allows you to walk quickly to the beach or take a few more minutes to walk up to the pool. We are continuing with upgrades as we had the landscaping re-done and the deck and stairs will be freshly painted this spring. The deck is calm and peaceful with a great view of the lake and a grassy area across the road that you can use for games or simply relaxing.
