Personally, we go to the cottage to enjoy the Okanagan and its range of outdoor activities. The cottage is great and there are a lot of activities at the resort, but we also like to tour around the Okanagan and the cottage is our base camp for all that the Okanagan has to offer. Silver Star Mountain is 60 minutes away and is a year round playground featuring a Mountain Bike park, Hiking, Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow-shoeing in the winter. Activities in the Okanagan range from zip lining, paintball, biking (family oriented, road biking, and mountain biking), hiking, and bungee jumping.
Mission Hill winery was named one of the 50 best wineries in the world this year, there are many wineries in the area and tours. Take your wife for a world class night out at one of these wineries. Do you golf as well? There are courses everywhere.

Oh yea, there is also Lake Okanagan which is incredible to paddleboard, kayak, swim, and boat in and there is a special dog beach so your pet is sure to enjoy the water as well - it gets so hot in the Okanagan. We had great skiing at Silverstar and liked to come back to the cottage after skiing all day. It was very cozy inside with the fire and watching a movie while it was freezing outside. The cottage was great, the view was amazing! We went to the store two nights and it had what we needed. I'll come back to this cottage next year.

The kitchen was well stocked and very easy and comfortable to use, this describes the entire cottage. Its exactly as shown in the pictures. We had a rain day and spent it inside, the fireplace was cozy, we logged into our own streaming TV accounts and watched movies.The lakeview is amazing and we liked to walk the resort. The local store was great.

We had an amazing time at this cottage! The place was spotless when we arrived, and the kitchen was impressively well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and dining in. The brand-new dishwasher was a great touch and made cleanup so easy.We loved spending time on the deck, morning coffee in the sun was perfect and having a drink and talking as we prepared and than ate dinner was very nice. — the barbeque worked perfectly and the view was absolutely stunning. The resort itself had everything we could ask for, making our stay comfortable and relaxing from start to finish.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and scenic getaway. We’d definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the cottage over Thanksgiving weekend! We loved the view of the lake and saw some beautiful sunrises, it was a great way to start the day. The place was exactly as pictured and was very clean upon arrival. There was plenty of space for us to relax and get some studying and work done. We made a full Thanksgiving dinner, turkey and all, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. My family also took advantage of the ATV trails in the forest behind the resort, it was extra pretty in the fall!  The host was great and provided quick communication whenever we needed him and his recommendation of getting groceries delivered to the cottage made the trip even easier. I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a nice family trip or a girls weekend!

The host is super good, he always quickly responds to my questions and very helpful. The only thing I want to voice out is the house a bit old, the furniture and the facilities is old fashioned. The air conditioning is not cool enough.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The beds were comfortable, cottage was clean and view amazing. The dishwasher wasn’t cleaning the dishes so we needed to hand wash but apparently a new one is being installed. It’s 40 minutes to Kelowna or Vernon but has lots to offer on site, convenience store, dinner, pool, mini golf, playground, dog beach and play structures in the water. The host Garnet was very responsive and helpful through our stay. We enjoyed our mini holiday!

The property was beautiful, great views. We are two adults two teenagers. The house was equipped with only two bath towels. They had adequate Small towels and face cloths six of each. Patio had many screw heads sticking up and I ended up cutting my foot. That’s how I found out. We also had to by more toilet paper. The house had two new rolls of toilet paper and each bathroom had a half roll of paper.

Our small group had a great time at Garnet’s place. La Casa is convenient for access to the lake and far enough from town that you feel like you’re away. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped!

Beautiful spot!

Great spot to relax and enjoy the views of the lake. The resort itself offers fun things to do as well. The house is a great size for a group. I would say if you want restaurants and city life its a bit of drive to Kelowna. The resort offers kayak and paddle board rentals as well as a beach so a great place to unwind and the house views can't be beat. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great Autumn Getaway!

Stayed in this cottage with my family and parents (both are over 80) and it was lovely. They enjoyed the deck and main floor, the rest of us enjoyed the entire place! Beautiful in the fall! Would love to spend time in the summer here as we didn’t go in the lake, but still great pool weather!

Great location

Great location with amazing views. The only issue we had was cleanliness - many of the cooking utensils seemed dirty, towels / cushion covers in the washer and small bugs on the covers of all the beds. From previous reviews this seems a one-off and shouldn’t stop you booking!!

Please read the reviews that guests have left over the last 11 years, I take these very personally and truly want everyone to have a great vacation. I think it shows in the reviews, not all reviews are perfect, most are close thought and when I get feedback I listen.

I grew up in Edmonton area and moved to Vancouver in the 90s. I still get a buzz to look at the mountains and enjoy all the activities that mountains have to offer. I like the outdoors.

I work as an IT person with a focus on data and analytics - hey its not as boring as it sounds I like my job and the problems we solve. I have two adult kids as well that are healthy and doing well.

Why they chose this property

For years we visited the Okanagan and camped in the summer and in the winter stayed in one of the many hotels. We first took our family to the LaCasa resort in the summer of 2013 and we met my parents there. We loved it right away. While there we talked about owning a place there and by November the same year we had bought a place.

The Okanagan is incredible and is a nice place to meet up with my family who live near Edmonton and ourselves located in Vancouver. My parents like having the option of flying in to the airport or driving there and we have the same option. The tradition continues with us meeting both friends and family there.

What makes this property unique

We love the Okanagan and my wife loves to be in a Cottage at a resort - need I say more. The combination of luxury and the great outdoors is hard to beat.

You can play in the out doors all year around here and never get bored. Its great to come back to the cottage at the end of the day and relax in comfort. You'll love it.
