Impeccably clean, great location (especially if you enjoy the outdoors), super cute and very comfortable. Grateful to have found this place for our annual trip to the mountains!
Exceptional host experience! Apartment was warmly inviting, featured a full suite of amenities, and was a great base camp for hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway!
We loved our stay here. Was nicely located close to many hiking trails and the natural bridge. Nice coffee/ice cream place nearby called drips. Loved getting away from the city and hose was very clean and spacious. We will definitely be back when we come back though this area.
My experience here was wonderful and peaceful. The host was very responsive. I especially loved the stocked coffee bar, bottled water and fresh cookies!! Will definitely be coming here again!- Thanks!
The place was beautiful and clean with all the amenities we needed. The hosts were very responsive and even welcomed us with cookies and a bottle of wine. We loved seeing deer in the yard every day.
this is a beautiful home away from home. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and care into making it comfortable and providing everything you may need. It is beautifully decorated and spotless. Everything provided is quality and abundant. I high recommend this lovely property if staying in the area.
It was an attached apartment with two full bedrooms and a kitchen. Well decorated and stocked with plenty of linens and pillows. Nice spacious bathroom. Had homey touches like board games, a coffee bar, and a plate of cookies. The patio was perfect for reading. Owners quick to answer messages and very helpful with info about the local area. Great stay!

Thank you Stephanie. We hope you will visit again!
We stayed here for 4 days to do some local hiking and sightseeing. It was the perfect central location for Cave Mountain Lake, Natural Bridge, Peaks of Otter, and more. The town of Buchanan was great as well, with many friendly people. The home was peaceful and quiet, very clean, and with great views of the sunsets. The cooktop worked great for making our breakfasts and dinners on site. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks so much! We're so glad your enjoyed the area and hope you will return!
We had a great stay. The hosts were out of sight but quick to respond to questions. The unit is connected to the house but very private, with its own parking and entrance. The kitchen is well equipped. We had quick access to hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to restaurants in Daleville.
If I could give it more stars I would. It was perfect. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Upon arriving, we were surprised to fine a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers in the refrigerator. The place was extremely clean, had everything we needed and was decorated adorably. The internet was fast and worked great. We are already planning our next trip.

Thank you Laura! You left the place absolutely spotless! We look forward to hosting you again.
The guest house was sparkling clean, very comfortable and had everything we might need. The location was secluded, quiet, and scenic.... exactly what we look for. We were away during the days but loved coming 'home' to our perfect little guest house. The cookies and wine were the finishing touch of a lovely stay. We didn't really need to contact the owner but he did check in with us to make sure all was well. Thank you for everything.

Comfortable, clean, well equipped, & close to Blue Ridge
This 2 bedroom apartment has comfortable beds and furniture, which are clean and well kept. The apartment is well decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and had all the privacy we needed. The hosts communicated with us well (internet went down in the area for a few hours, otherwise no issues during our stay). The apartment is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway (10 minute drive), which we visited each day of our stay and enjoyed the fall foliage and spectacular mountain views. Thanks Bill and Kathy for hosting this wonderful apartment! I highly recommend it.
This was our Second time, and it was as great as the first.
We came back this late October to see the fall colors throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was spectacular. This house is super well kept. With details in the decor that makes one feel luxurious and simple at the same time. The location cannot be better. Close to all the beautiful outdoors. We enjoyed it immensely and we will come back soon.
Others notes: We recommend a max of 3-4 people. We were just a couple and it was perfect. Great internet service. I had to attend a conference and give a presentation and it all worked very well.
We enjoyed incredibly our stay of 4 nights. So much so that on our second day we were eager to make sure we could come back. This has never happened.
For those who enjoy hiking, the location cannot be more convenient. The property is beautiful and photo sunsets are real.
The inside is as nice as the outside. Everything carefully decorated and one can tell that the owners are thoughtful people. We are thankful for sharing their champagne glasses when we mentioned we wanted to buy one. The guest house has everything one needs. We don’t think it fits 6 adults in there given the overall space. But two couples, or a family of 4 it would work. For two people it is divine.
We had a wonderful stay! The Blue Ridge mountains are right there for one to enjoy.

thank you so much for your very kind review. We are looking forward to see you again.
The sofa in the living room pulls out to a queen size bed, which is why we’re happy to accommodate 6. We hope you will bring family and friends when you visit again!
Fabulous, impeccable property that has everything you could ever want in a rental unit, either for a short or long stay, right down to coffee pods and creamer in the fridge. Clean beyond clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated you’ll feel comfortable as soon as you step through the door. Although adjacent to the owners property, it feels very private with beautiful mountain views and outdoor screen porch. Communication with the owner was prompt, easy and thorough. Hope to return someday when we are not in the midst of a hurricane path! Ian unfortunately prevented us from exploring the Blue Ridge. A bonus are several cute, local and busy restaurants in the area that were quite good.
The property has terrific views and the rental is well equipped and attractive. We stayed four nights and it was great! We used the grill and the screened in porch for a barbecue. I would recommend staying here to friends.
We enjoyed a quiet weekend in the countryside with easy access to hiking trails, restaurants and tourist attractions. Special highlights for us were Natural Bridge, D-Day Memorial and Otter Peaks trail.
I stayed here for my daughter's graduation from VT and loved the accommodations! The former in-law suite was well-appointed, very clean, and very quiet. The complimentary wine (from a local winery) and the homemade cookies were delicious - a nice, welcoming surprise! There are plenty of bath towels; nice ones, at that! Soap, shampoo, condition, etc. was provided and there was more than enough for our 2-night stay. A small bottle of dish soap, a new sponge, paper towels, and dishwasher tablets are all provided, along with extra trash bags if needed. The Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods, along with individual creamers (stored in the fridge), sugar, and Splenda came in handy both mornings! We didn't do any cooking, but all of the kitchen utensils and place settings seem to be there.
The location is about an hour from Blacksburg, VA where we spent most of our time. I had the pleasure of meeting Bill, the owner, in person. A VT graduate himself, he was complimentary of my daughter's success at VT. He had a very pleasant demeanor and was most attentive to our needs. He provided some insight into the local area and things to do. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to do any of them, but I do plan to return. I was able to get some reading in on the screened porch. At night, it is pleasantly lighted with string lights around the canopy. There was a table and chairs for outdoor dining as well as a gas grill for our use. Again, all the comforts of home were included in our stay!
We ate supper one night at the "Foot of the Mountain Cafe", one recommended by the owners, Bill and Kathy. It was a short drive from the house, and we found the food and service to be very good. The atmosphere is very casual at the Cafe and has a small bar and an outdoor seating area. ($3.00 Jack and Coke specials on Friday nights.)
All-in-all, it was a great stay! I would recommend this VRBO to everyone. Thank you to Bill and Kathy for making us feel right at home. I hope to visit again soon.
We had a wonderful stay. This property is beautiful and do clean and comfortable. The cookies and bottle of wine are such a thoughtful touch. We will definitely stay here again.
