This cabin was a perfect getaway for our girls trip! Parking was very easy for all our cars, which is hard to find in Arrowhead. It was super cute with everything we needed for the best weekend. The host was also the best, being very responsive and making sure we were all set. I would absolutely stay here again!!
Beautiful location, very well stocked with all kitchen needs, family board games and close to lake arrowhead village. It has the perfect cabin feel with the comfort of updated heating/ cooling. The views are beautiful. I highly recommend you stay at Lisa’s cabin. She was very responsive and communicative. Thank you for such beautiful stay
The bed was incredibly comfortable, which is huge for me! Also had yummy pods! Great driving instructions. Very responsive host, would def rec moment starting here.
The cabin is incredibly cute and well equipped. There were a couple small issues during our stay and it was really easy to get in touch with the host and resolve them. The beds are so comfy. We ended up going out and buying the same mattress for home. Host was super flexible, gracious, and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect for a quiet weekend. Roomy comfortable cabin. The bed was super comfy! Lisa was very accommodating and her response to my texts were quick. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Rhonda I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and I hope you come back again.
We really enjoyed the property... well-equipped and comfortable. It looks like the photos. Nice kitchen, wonderful deck, great mountain air. The AC is necessary on the top floor bedrooms in the summer, but it works well!
A very well located cabin in Lake Arrowhead. Close to Blue Jay and the UCLA conference center grounds. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The cabin is quite spacious and all of rooms and kitchen were well appointed with the things you might need. Check in was easy and wifi worked perfectly. Highly recommended.
The cabin was incredibly cozy and perfect for a peaceful Thanksgiving. The cabinets were stocked with all the cooking utensils necessary for a Thanksgiving feast. The location was close to the village and several great hikes. We enjoyed all the family games and the fact that our dog was able to stay with us. It was a wonderful getaway!

Bridget, I am so happy you had such a wonderful holiday stay.
Very nice property with a beautiful deck. We enjoyed the evenings outside on the patio. It was a bit warm while we were there in September. A little portable air conditioner would be nice especially for bedrooms upstairs. Had everything we needed for a nice long weekend!
Lisa is a fantastic host. Communication was speedy and effective, and we appreciated how much she cared about us having a relaxing weekend. My one gripe is on the portable ACs. We turned them on but it wasn't enough to cool down the room. The living room area kept in mid to high 80s for most of the day, then 76-78 at night. The upstairs bedrooms also have portable ACs, seem to work better but were loud to have on while sleeping. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay overall nthe outdoor deck was where we spent most of our family time, bbqing and enjoying the blue Jays hopping from brand to branch.
Time for a get away close to the beach but off the beaten path…..
My husband & I were headed to the Riverside area to see our daughter while she is going to school out there from Nebraska; however, we wanted to stay some place to get away & relax after almost 18 months of ups & downs w/cancer & not the rush of the city. The cabin was perfect!! We could enjoy a fantastic breeze through the windows @ night, go off-roading, hang out just trekking the mountain sites or any of the three lake areas, or even take a day trip into the city to go to the beach, see the ocean, take in some touristy sites, & have dinner w/our daughter. The views though were probably the most spectacular & breathtaking things that we have seen in a long time!! If we head back that direction, we will definitely be looking @ this VRBO cabin again!!

I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful stay. Thank you for visiting and I hope you do get to come back soon.
The cabin was clean, warm and welcoming. A few things that stood out were the bathrooms. The toilets were very old and flushed very slowly. The toilet seats need to be replaced and the shower faucets need to be updated as well (hard to use). The dishes in the kitchen were lacking. I think there were 3 mugs and 2 glasses. It seemed like it all came from a thrift store...which is ok if there are enough dishes. The lowest point of our stay was when we woke up the first morning to find mouse poop in the pantry. It had eaten through our bag of chips! We had to store all of our food in our coolers and in the refrigerator. (And we still found poop on the counters and in the empty pantry!) The host said she'd send someone with a trap or something to remedy the situation, but no one ever showed up. The beds were comfortable though.
Cute vintage house, great for exploring the neighborhood - easy drives to Lake Gregory and Green Valley lakes and all the necessities at the house made those trips easy (beach towels, chairs and umbrellas). Definitely a few quirky bits to the house (like carpet stains, bedroom doors that need stoppers to be closed, etc) but there’s so much charm and the bathtubs and toilets and bed linens were squeaky squeaky clean. Gets hot in the summer afternoon (could use blackout curtains on the windows instead of shades) but the floor ac units made bedroom sleeping during the August heat wave no problem and comfortable. Easy communication with the host and the caretaker was there when we arrived at check-in updating the outside umbrella. Would stay again any season, would love to go back in the winter to hang by the fire and play board games.

Elyse, I am so happy to hear you enjoyed the cabin. I just cleaned the carpet again after your stay, thank you for letting me know :)
Adding black out is a great idea. Thank you.
We booked this trip in advance and by sheer luck we get a winter storm. But it was all good, we arrived before it started and we felt very comfortable here. The kitchen is stocked with dishware and everything worked well. The beds are comfortable and the cabin kept us very cozy when it started snowing. It was wonderful to see the snow fall out the big patio windows. Lisa, the host, is an angel! She kept in contact with us in case of an outage because of the winds. As we left, I let her know the roads were covered in snow so we had to leave a bit later past check-out to prepare our car for the icy roads. She told us not to worry if we had to remain indoors while the road cleared up. That really reassured me and it just shows how much she cares for her guests.Thank you for making us feel secure, Lisa!

About the host

I am a mom of three amazing young men. I grew up in Michigan and so I have been a lake lover all my life. I am a marathon and trail runner. My boys and I love to hike to water holes. I bought Ironwood Cabin to continue to create more lasting memories with them. The first time I walked in Ironwood Cabin and saw the view, I fell in love. I wanted to keep the downstairs rustic and log cabin like so it felt like an escape to an old lodge on a trail through the mountains. The upstairs is bright and white with high ceilings and the beds were carefully chosen to feel like you were sleeping in a luxury hotel. I hope you do enjoy your stay
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this cozy cabin and it's view. My hope is that you will feel like you are much further away from it all when you come stay at Ironwood.
What makes this property unique
The cabin feels secluded but it's still only 7-10 minutes from the village and its a beautiful drive.
