3 of us stayed here to enjoy some time away up north and get outdoors. Great location. Easy check in. Loved the real cabin feel. It was stocked with pretty much everything we needed. We hope to go back!
Excellent cabin and lake. Amenities were perfect. Evening view is really beautiful. Dock is excellent. Fire pit is nice with firewood provided. Highly recommended.
The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and having access to the kayaks was a perk as well. The cabin was comfortable. The kids loved sleeping in the loft and watching movies. We had a great time!
This cabin is beautifully located, providing beautiful sunset views each evening. The cabin has all the creature comforts: comfortable beds, a dishwasher!, modern bathroom and kitchen, plenty of towels and paper products, and the most fully equipped kitchen you can imagine. Two kayaks, also.
The cabin is beautiful. Welcoming, cozy, and more than well equipped for a comfortable break from the busy home life. Extras like a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and on the nights a fire in the wonderful fire pit area were not an option we used the wifi for streaming movies on the SmartTV. All nice bonuses. We enjoyed our stay and won't hesitate to come back.
I think the fire ring was one of the best and most memorable parts of this stay. The dock is well maintained and it was great having our boat there. The kitchen is spacious and a big dining table was great for eating and for playing games. It would be good to put dressers in the bedrooms since there are no closets :)

Decent place
Good lake nice area. Owner stays in the next door cabin fyi. Good dude. We did notice hornets on the floor likely from the fireplace but owner stated he will take care of that once we left. Overall good place steps are steep and upstairs is not great if you are taller than 6 feet. Be well.
Everything went very smoothly. It was our home away from home for a few days. The view is beautiful and the guys enjoyed fishing off the dock. The ladies enjoyed sitting by the fire pit. We also like the games available to play when it rained one night and we had to stay in. The host even brought us over some fried fish one night to share. Hanky, the dog, was very friendly and made us all smile. Thanks for the great stay. We'll take advantage of this property again next time we have friends or family in town.
Towering Pines Lakeside Getaway really does have beautiful towering pines!
Four friends and myself spent a glorious weekend at this rustic, comfy cabin home. There was plenty of space, great amenities such as new washer and dryer, fridge and a two oven stove! The fire pit gives an amazing view of Lake Minnewawa that is a joy to watch at sunset. There was little to no noise on the lake which was peaceful and welcome. The private dock is perfect for tanning on a towel or lounging in a raft. Plenty of windows with the option of AC as well. The hosts were considerate and quick to answer any questions. I would definitely rent this cabin again!
Excellent in every way. Exactly as represented. Beauty of a classic cabin with a great floor plan, lavish space, wise updates, & fully equipped. The fire pit amid towering pines was, to me, a cathedral. Host was responsive to advance questions, but we had no need to connect during our stay. Rustic "Up North" MN at its finest! As a 2023 getaway for our family...priceless. Would love to return.
I think we were the first people to stay in the cabin maybe for the summer season so there was dust and a lot of cobwebs and bugs. Rick and Tom were really responsive to our needs which we so appreciated! Awesome guys! Mosquitos are thick but nothing can do about that in Minnesota on the lake. Fishing was amazing. The kids had a blast swimming down at the dock and over at the sand bar. Beautiful lake and amazing sunsets and sunrises!
Tom was great to work with and helped us with anything we needed! The cabin itself was very well kept and cleaned as well and the fire pit. The lake was a sandy bottom with some weeds and very nice to be on!
My husband and I loved our time at this lake cabin amongst the pine trees overlooking the lake. Comfy, adorable cabin nicely equipped with all the essentials and more. Enjoyed kayaking, evening fires and local restaurants close by. The lake water is tea-colored in this area (it’s normal) but the water is clean.
A great setting on a northern MN lake. The hosts were quick to respond to our questions and our stay with friends was a real treat. Wonderful vacation place!
