Gorgeous views from a gorgeous cabin! This is an adorably authentic, rustic cabin with all the modern conveniences. Relaxing on the back porch was just what these girls needed! The host was wonderful in taking care of every need, even one that popped up unexpectedly! ;-)

Such a wonderful place to stay and enjoy so many things! The tin roof, the view of the valley, the train passing by at least 3 times a day. The quietness of nature and the sounds it brings. The porch is my favorite part of the house. This wonderful place has everything you need and specious! Beds are very comfortable. It is just a fantastic place.

We came to celebrate our 9-year wedding anniversary, and everything was absolutely perfect! Cottonwood has easily become our new paradise — truly a home away from home. We’ve already started planning our return trip because we’ve enjoyed every single second here. From the breathtaking views to the peaceful relaxation, this has been the time together we so desperately needed. We’re not ready to leave and know we’ll be homesick for Cottonwood the moment we do. Anniversary Getaway

We were looking for a relaxing getaway to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. This place was wonderful. The cabin is a great mix of old style with modern touches throughout. The outdoor space in the back is just awesome. The view is amazing. We had a great time here and hope to come back soon.

Nice views, but moths and ants in cabin were bothersome as well as scurrying mice noises at night making it hard to sleep.

July 4th Getaway

A short weekend trip for July 4th led us here. Close to family and friends we enjoyed the accomodations quite well. Very peaceful and soothing location and Angela the property manager was helpful and easy to work with if any questions would arise. Pictures do not do it justice and if you are looking for a getaway in Mentone this the place to stay!!

Home away from Home

I fell in love with the property, and we definitely were not disappointed! The views are amazing, and the surrounding area was easy to access. But none of that compared to the house itself. Pictures don't do it justice. The perfect mountain retreat

Came to visit family who didn't have space for us and am quite familiar with the area. This space is absolutely gorgeous and we loved it so much we are coming back every time we need to. The views are gorgeous, so many great amenities, and perfect location in the middle between Fort Payne and downtown Mentone. Hike, go to the river or lakes or waterfalls, hibernate, cook out, enjoy a glass of wine in the hammock at sunset,.play games, bicycle the rolling hills - you can do it all here!

Old and new

Very charming and cozy cabin with updated appliances and advanced technology. My daughter said, "It's like this cabin is old and new at the same time." Would definitely stay there again. Would have loved a broader view; the trees blocked about 60-70% of it. I'm sure it's a stunning view in the winter.
