I loved the screened in porch space and proximity to DeSoto falls. I was just 5 min drive to trailhead. Owner was also a good commicator. Great way to enjoy long weekend over spring break.

Loved the little cabin feel with the hot tub was very relaxing and cozy. Mentone was a very quaint and quiet little town. The waterfall at Desoto State Park was beautiful.

The cabin was a perfect getaway! Close enough to the shops and restaurants of Mentone to be convenient, far enough away to disconnect from it all. The nearby state park was great for a long nature walk.

The home was clean and as described. Loved the porch swing bed and watching movies while relaxing in the crisp fresh air. Went during the holiday season and it was decorated nicely for Christmas. Make sure to plan ahead for food- as she says, the closest grocery store is a drive, and it’ll take a bit to get there. Owner was responsive and worked well with us.

This cozy cottage was just what our family of four needed. The location was perfect. The porch swing was amazing, especially with the fall weather! We celebrated our 20th anniversary this past weekend here and it was perfect! It was the cutest little home ever. Everything you need! We spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch! The swinging daybed was fabulous. We really enjoyed the hot tub. It was amazing to see the deer graze around us. We will definitely be back!

We fell in love with Southern Star the moment we saw it! We have always loved the Mentone area and all the rustic charm of the area. Southern Star has the loft my daughter loves, the wildlife my husband craves, a hot tub I enjoy and Wi-Fi my son apparently can't live without 🤣
