All our family loved the villa and it's setting and had a holiday of a lifetime
There were nine of our family ranging in age from 8 to 80, from London and Bristol.
The accommodation was spacious, ideal for our family group, clean, well presented and equipped and in a stunning country setting.
The pool was excellent. Adored by the children.
The local bread shop in Joucas village was conveniently close .
Each morning we walked down through the pretty hill village to collect our bread and croissant. Most days we spent time
relaxing by the pool, swimming, reading, playing table tennis, and making use of the efficient barbeque. We also played tennis in the village. We enjoyed the local Terrace restaurant, The Crillion in Murs only ten minutes away and Grappe de Raisin in nearby Rousillion-.An attractive hill town with its famous Ochre cliffs and matching coloured houses.
Of course the Rose wines from vineyards all around were much appreciated.
The villa was also conveniently situated for visits to Orange and Avignon.
The whole holiday ran very smoothly thanks to the unstinting support and advice from Beverly our house manager.
Altogether a superb unforgettable experience.
We'll be back!

Fabulous location to explore the Luberon Valley
Staying in a small, less touristy village but in the middle of all the places one wants to visit was wonderful. The views from this property are fabulous. Beverly was accommodating and easy to work with regarding the reservation, check-in etc. The property is cozy and unique. Just be aware that two of the master bedrooms have separate access and that bees/flies are prevalent during this time of year. Overall a perfect family property for exploring the area.
Wonderful in Every Way!!
Our family party of eight adults spent a perfect week in this fantastic home and I cannot recommend it highly enough. First of all, Beverly is wonderful! She's an excellent communicator and really made the trip easy for us from beginning to end (even arranging beach club reservations for us in Antibes!). Then there's the house! It didn't feel like a rental house, but instead, like home (if home had a gorgeous pool with views in the middle of the Luberon!). It is even better than in the photos! Tons of space, indoors and out, comfortable beds with very nice bedding, two (!) great kitchens, walking distance of about 1-2 minutes to the charming town of Joucas (with a fantastic cafe - the pizzas are insanely good), a gorgeous pool area, multiple outside cooking options, amazing views in every direction, and glorious peace and quiet (only broken by the occasional songbird)! Absolutely wonderful! If you are looking to stay in Provence, don't look any further - book this beautiful home now!
So glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope to see you again soon.
Much loved summer holiday 2016
We are a family of 10 who stayed for 2 weeks in august 2016 for a relaxing summer break. Beverly was so very helpful from the initial enquiry to keeping in touch during our stay to ensure everything was well and we were happy with everything. The cleaners Isabelle and her daughter are very thorough and cleaned the house to a level that was beyond my expectation.
The house itself is beautiful, with lots of charm and character. Theres a lot of inside and outside space for a family of 10.
It was a real bonus having the pool house with the pool kitchen and the bbq so close to the swimming pool, sun loungers, large outside eating area. It was perfect for us to prepare and cook food whilst all being together by the pool area.
The villa is in a beautiful spot which is highlighted by the views over the valley below, which seems ever changing with the lighting.
If your up earlier enough there is a hot air balloon which you can watch take flight from the valley bellow every day at around 7am.
There is plenty of space for everyone to be together or find some piece and quiet away from the crowds. The pool was heated and a real hit with everyone of all ages, the electric cover was great at keeping the heat in the pool during the night.
Location wise was spot on, with an easy walk into the village for bread etc. 15 mins to a large supermarket, 10 mins to the beautiful Gordes and 20 mins to the town Apt as well as other large supermarkets. We would recommend for anyone looking for a lovely villa, with a gorgeous pool, with views of the surrounding areas, which is clean and in good order for a relaxed holiday in a beautiful location.
Our month in Provence
Mas de la Vallette was the perfect house for our family of 12 to gather! We had a magical month, in the heart of Provence, but away from the hustle and bustle of the busy towns. We could stroll down into Joucas for pastries every morning, then drive to one of the many towns and villages and wineries, all within a short drive. We would have lunch, then return home for naps, swims, and dinner. It was a great schedule for a group ranging in age from 11 to 80. Five of the nights a chef came in to prepare delicious dinners. Otherwise we shopped at the Super U or brought things from the markets. The outside gas grill was much in use. Our house manager, Beverly Ferritz, was lovely and helpful in any number of ways. She was always available and responsive to our needs. We considered her our Guardian Angel. It was truly a once in a lifetime holiday for all of our family.
Beautiful house and a wonderful stay
We stayed at the Mas de la Valette for 1 week at the end of May and had our intimate wedding here. When we arrived, I couldn't believe how charming and gorgeous the property was! The photos just do not do it justice! Especially the view to the surrounding countryside towards the other Luberon villages. Both the Grand Maison and Petite Maison were clean, well maintained and decorated with quintessential Provencal decor. The garden was beautiful and bigger than what you can see in the photos. The house also had all the essentials that we needed for our stay, and the little touches like hair dryer in the washrooms made our stay that much better.
Our most heartfelt thank-you to Beverly for making us feel so welcome and for all her help before, during and after our stay - answering numerous emails and questions (there were a lot!) about the property, the area, suggestions for things we needed, etc. We couldn't have planned our wedding from another country without her generous help. Cosette cooked for our party of 20, and the food was just delicious! Exactly how we wanted our meal to be. The house was the perfect place for our wedding and we are so glad that we chose to come here. We would not hesitate to recommend the property and Beverly to anyone looking for a holiday home in Provence!
Ideally situated between Gordes and Roussillon, fabulous views.
