1/16/2025 Update - Hurricane repairs are completed, with new landscaping. Turtle Landing is back open!

A wonderful, 'Old Florida,' Beach house with new renovations! This island home is decorated with a nautical theme. Walk the beautiful hardwood floors and watch the sunset from the over-sized rear porch. Minutes' walk on a sand road to the quiet seven-mile beach. This beach is perfect for swimming or collecting seashells. You have to travel far in this world to find a beach like this.

Turtle Landing has an open floor plan and comes with all the trimmings. Perfect for a family or friends to enjoy a stay at Palm Island. House has cathedral ceiling, large yard and a nice private pool & spa. Out the back porch is a long dock that is great for fishing, kayaking or swimming in Kettle Harbor. In the house, we offer streaming video and TV entertainment with YouTube TV, Netflick and Amazon.

Turtle Landing will leave you in the 'old Florida' style that you expect. Island is accessed by ferry which operates18 hours each day.

Driving time is one hour and fifteen minutes from Tampa, Florida.

Golf cart rentals available on Island.

The house was as advertised. Scott was a great host and reached out numerous times during the week to make sure we were good. We loved the dock, pool and location of the house. The house could have been cleaned a little better in our opinion. The outlets in the kitchen and the fans on the porch not operating were our only complaints. We would/will stay at this place again!

Great place!

We had a great time at Turtle Landing!! Weather was sketchy but the kids stayed in the pool and on the huge porch. House is very airy and well appointed. Definitely would recommend.

We are repeat renters. That says it all. Love boating, pool and beach. Renovations after hurricane have been done. (When many of the renovations are the island have not been complete.)

Love the outside spaces

Love the outside spaces - very relaxing. The lanai is so so big for many activities and accessible from the main rooms and 2 bedrooms. And the house is lovely too. Love the decor and the older real pine floors.

Peace and Tranquillity

The home and property were outstanding. Quiet peaceful. The beaches were great. Golf cart was great to have. People on and around island were so nice. The island ferry was easy to use. Can’t wait to go back

Amazing!

Family Long Weekend

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turtle Landing. The house was very clean and well maintained; it has all the amenities anyone could ever want! The pool was wonderful after a long day of sun on the Gulf. The boat dock was so accessible we even went out night fishing! Finally, the owner was extremely responsive and an overall pleasure. Highly recommended!

Turtle Landing is our favorite place on the island. We come back year after year. Always clean and always has everything we need and more. Owner is so hospitable, an excellent communicator, and just overall very helpful. Thanks for another great family vacation! We’ll be back!

Family Vacation

The island is beautiful and the house was nice and met our needs. Amazing pool, much larger than others on the island. Dock was great for our boat. Had some issues at check in and with our golf cart, but Scott and Barbara were very responsive. They checked in with us and made sure we had what we needed. Scott was super nice and we were able to text him if we needed anything. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend.

Beautiful House and Property

Turtle Landing is by far the best vacation property I’ve ever rented. It’s a gorgeous house with a heavenly back yard. There is not only a fishing dock but a pool and lovely landscaping. The owner is very helpful and good at communicating. It’s clear that he loves the house and enjoys sharing it with others. Palm Island is peaceful and relaxing, a treasure in itself.

Turtle Landing is terrific! This is our family’s second year staying at this property on Don Pedro. Turtle Landing is a terrific property - the house is well appointed inside and out. The pool and boat dock are key for family and are super nice at Turtle Landing. The home, yard, and all amenities are well cleaned and maintained. Clearly, the owner is very intentional about making sure guests are comfortable. Also, the owner is very responsive and is an overall pleasure to deal with.

Better than advertised

The house is perfect, well kept, kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfy & the house was clean - that’s the basics! Then the extras - beach chairs, sand toys, the amazing pool, the dock & fishing cleaning station!!! But most importantly, Scott is the best host we have had in the 17 years that we’ve rented on the island. Very thoughtful in offering info on activities that were being held on the island, reminder of trash day & just being available to answer any questions. Perfect rental & vacation! Tina C

Another wonderful stay on the island

Scott was great working with. Our favorite part of the house was the large lanai. Kitchen is small. Inside sitting area is not large. Furnishings are lovely. Many fans. Our grandson loved having his own “kids” room. Master bedroom/bath is lovely and large. If you have a boat be sure to check with Scott how to navigate the water way. Pool was very nice. There is a lot of vegetation so it is hard to keep everything pristine. We like the greenery.

Turtle Landing

The owner Scott was great to work with. He communicated frequently and answered all of our questions. The house is beautiful and clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The back deck and the property was relaxing and so pretty. Having our own dock for our boat was fabulous..I did choose this house because it had a hot tub over some other houses, however, the hot tub wasn't heated all week. Scott did contact the pool guy, who did stop by more than once but it was still cold. The negative is we didn't like having to pay the ferry $55 for each vehicle and for our boat trailer each time we wanted to go anywhere. There is only 1 restaurant on the island and the food and service was awful. We had to leave the island and pay the ferry several times to get better food/groceries. The manager/owner may want to include the weekly ferry cost for future rentals I know some other rentals do.

ALWAYS wonderful

Turtle Landing has all you need for an incredible Palm Island vacation. Home is always clean (which is a big deal to me). Can’t beat the location, and all that this home has to offer. Scott is a great communicator and always a wonderful host. Still our favorite place on the island.

June Stay

We had a wonderful time at this property. Scott is incredibly helpful and very responsive. The house is wonderful. Having the dock to kayak off of and fish from was great. We also enjoyed watching the dolphin from the dock. It was a short golf cart/bike ride to the beach. The ocean was calm and beautiful. We rented a boat one day from Abe's and had an amazing time. I would highly recommend this property and hope we can return.

Perfect again

This was our second trip to Turtle Landing and everything was perfect. During our kayak trip (off the back dock), we had two manatees come play with us - absolutely amazing experience!
