Relaxing! Perfect stay! Anything we needed was there, Jonathan reached out to make sure we arrived and everything was good and let us know he was available if we needed anything. - will definitely will stay again.
Plenty of spaces to hang out outside on three patio levels, the hammock, double chaise lounge, or dock. The canoe was great for exploring the shores and the pontoon was great to take us all across to the pizza/burger/beer/bait shop. Inside there was plenty of room for games, meal prep, and sleeping. Loved the cooler weather and clear lake water.
Great property with a beautiful lake view on the hill with a terraced yard to enjoy and easily get to the lake. Peaceful. Pontoon provided was a perfect bonus. All aspects of property use clearly communicated and easy to navigate.
The property is very nice, lake is very quiet. Very relaxing week. We ventured to Amnicon Falls State Park and Pattison State Park for hiking. Did a 12 mile kayak trip on Brule river and went to Duluth for a day. All are eady drives from the house.
We really like the lodging and the opportunity to have a boat to use! The cabin was very clean, although agree with previous comment it definitely has a musty odor. This improved with open windows and some heat! Loved all the outdoor spaces for relaxing, enjoying the lake and loons! Jonathan was an amazing host and readily answered any questions we had while planning!
We really enjoyed our time at the Blue Loon. The backyard/landscaping, waterfront, and the use of the boat were highlights and we spent most of our time there. The house had a musty smell, but this improved when opening windows. The neighbors are close in the front, which we didn’t realize, but nice privacy and separation in the back, so we really didn’t notice them. Jon is very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
Perfect site on the lake, Jon had everything in house just in case you forgot or needed something. Unusually hot for October and had an issue with AC, texted Jon and right away he let me know how to work the remote. The 3 tiered landscape with fire pit and grill area was awesome not to mention recreated stonehenge bar. Thanks, Jon
Our week was perfect! Jon was a great host! We had so much fun with the different watercraft. Loved seeing the eagle that flew over each day and hearing the loon. Our last night we caught a Walleye from the pontoon. We went to Amnicon Falls one day which was beautiful and also visited Lake Superior. But mostly we just stayed at the cabin and enjoyed all there was to do. Like others have said the week went by way too fast and we were not ready to leave.
Had a great time at the cabin. Our host was very responsive to our questions and needs. We ran into an issue our first day but it was addressed and taken care of right away. Everything was as expected. It was great to have the pontoon available to go out on the lake. There was a canoe we were able to use. The kids loved swimming off the dock. We enjoyed fires each night. The week went way too fast. Hope to be able to come back at some point. Would recommend for a relaxing family trip.
My fiancé and myself stayed 8/27-8/31 for 4 nights and it was just what we needed. Quiet retreat with exceptional 3 tier back patio that we used everyday. We enjoyed bonfires every night, grilled, relaxed and our dogs loved exploring . Not even to mention the pontoon boat that we took out for pleasure rides and fishing. A restaurant up the road with good food and also enjoyed 2 golf courses nearby. We will be back.
The location was wonderful. Jon, our host, was extremely helpful. Being able to use the pontoon was an extra treat. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and get in touch with nature.
It's the best getaway for a weekend to disconnect, relax, get away from the city. We had a great time fishing, best sunsets and comfortable housing. 2nd year now and looking forward to a 3rd!!
The cottage was very nice, with the boat and fishing and near perfect weather .
The property was nice, it was clean and comfortable, maybe a couple extra pots and pans would be nice. The outside space is spectacular, boat with three levels leading down to the water, very beautiful. Seen some bald eagles very nice week except it went way to fast.
Our family very much enjoyed staying at the Blue Loon. There was an exceptional view of the lake, use of a pontoon boat, and all the little extras that make for a memorable trip. We were in town for Grandma's Marathon and the cabin was a great location for relaxing and being just 30 minutes from our shuttle bus location. Jonothan was an stellar host. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a similar experience.
This cabin has gorgeous views of the lake. Very quiet and peaceful. Jonathon was very courteous and quick with any sort of communication. We had burgers from Sidelines up the road that were delicious. Short drive to numerous outdoor activities. We are glad we packed extra board games, cards, etc. There is internet service, but it wasn't the best at times. Which we actually really enjoyed. It forced our teenage son to hang out with us 🤣. The fact that it comes with a boat is a heck of a deal.We are looking at booking a late spring trip when the fishing is better. I definitely recommend this cabin.
A beautiful low key cabin that comes with a well-maintained pontoon. Lots of cool spots outside to enjoy the sun and read. The spare bedrooms are small but do come with full-length closets. Jonathan's awesomely responsive. We look forward to coming back!
The outdoor space facing the lake is beautiful. It offers three levels: closest to the house is a grill and picnic table; second level has a two-person swing and another two-person chair seating; a third area has reclining loungers facing the lake. We saw loons and eagles each day. Our host made sure there was extra gasoline for the pontoon, and we took rides each day.
It was great, the only problem I had was the WiFi connection was very weak and we often had no service. Other than that the property was great, the pontoon was fun, and Jonathan was very friendly and helpful.
