About this property
Lakesong Retreat
This property is a one bedroom, one bathroom cabin on South Twin Lake. The cabin sits feet from the water, and you can listen to the waves wash up day and night. A deck with rocking chairs and a propane grill overlook the sand beach. The cabin sits inside a large cove where there is very little wind, so kayaking and paddle boarding can be enjoyed without any consideration for wind conditions. The details won't be lost on you here. This cabin is perfect for a getaway at the base of Katahdin!

About the host
Hosted by Kati
My name is Kati. I’m a registered nurse and Air Force veteran. My husband Aaron and I are both “locals” from Millinocket. We enjoy hosting, because it’s fun! We are able to share a beautiful piece of Millinocket heritage and a true Maine “camp” experience with you all. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
The lakes in the Millinocket area are breathtaking. South Twin lake is as beautiful as it is convenient. The roads are well maintained; you are 10 minutes from town but feel like you’re in total solitude. The sunrises here are unbelievable, and the loons lull you to sleep at night.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is one of the original cabins on the lakes. It has been very well maintained, and is literally just steps from the water. You can hear the water wash up on the shore and the loons calling at night. It has all of the conveniences that you would want while on vacation. Hot water, shower, stocked kitchen, barbecue grill and a fire pit outdoors. The bed is new and comfortable and ready for you to sink into at night. Enjoy your time at camp with a glass of wine and a cribbage match and wake up to the smoldering coals in your fire pit. Summer in Millinocket is pretty special.
