Katahdin Woods & Waters House - close to trails!

10-30 minutes to lakes, streams, river and Baxter SP. 2-story home with 4 bedrooms and sofa bed. 2 full baths. Furnished with sheets, warm blankets and comforters, towels, paper goods, coffee pot, dishes, pots & pans. Wifi throughout. Within town and close to local offerings. Our house is cozy for a couple but can accommodate a large group. The house includes a big empty garage for you to store your canoes, snowmobiles, ATVs etc. We're a great base for your outdoor fun! Ride from house to nearby snowmobile trails!!

We are a within walking distance to restaurants, antique shops, galleries and gift shops. Grocery and drugstore are a short drive away. We are an excellent base for your outdoor excursions! We are close to Baxter State Park, the New England Outdoor Center, the Appalachian Trail and the new Woods and Water National Monument. Come to Millinocket and enjoy snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, bird and wildlife watching, white water rafting, kayaking and driving the scenic byways!

Millinocket has some great guides for hunting, bird watching, Moose viewing, rafting and more. If you are looking for a guide, we'll give you some references if you like.

My partner and I stayed here while in town to hike Katahdin. The house was incredibly clean, thoughtfully stocked, spacious, and well-labeled. We were super comfortable and the distance to Baxter State Park is very reasonable (40 min to the southern gate). Would certainly stay again. Cali was so helpful and responsive. Thanks so much!

Great location

Great location for accessing Baxter State Park and white rafting. Also a short walk into Millinocket. It was just what we needed to enjoy our week's stay.

This venue supported our first family reunion since 1992 and it was so good to us. Some spent the night very well accommodated. Some day tripped. Staff Molly, Callie and Shannon were very helpful, easily allowing me to change one venue for this larger one. Clean, well appointed with everything we needed and more.

Nice accommodations. Comfy beds, linens and towels. Good eating area and kitchen. Plenty of coffee!! Very nice host!

Great spot right in town

Lots of room, comfortable beds, and super clean. easy walk into town, parking for 4 cars. super nice host, very responsive. great spot to stay if you find yourself in millinocket!

Overall good

Overall positive experience. The communication with the property manager was good. Location is good - center of Millinocket, close to everything the town has to offer. There were a few quirks that we needed to get used to around the house, but once we figured those out, the stay was ok.

Loved our stay

My Bestie and I were looking for a place to stay in the evenings after our daiy adventures. This place was perfect. Cali was so helpful. Check in was a breeze. The house was so big, super clean and comfortable. This will always be our go to when in the area.

Perfect snowmobile weekend getaway

Absolutely loved this house, super clean and very friendly and helpful owners. Rode our sleds right to the trail and did over 500 miles this weekend!!! This house was perfect and so cozy we will be back for sure!

Snowmobiling vacation with friends

Recently spent 4 nights at this rental and had a wonderful time! The house is very close to ITS trails so no need to trailer anywhere, could ride directly from residence. House was very clean and comfortable. Access to the garage to house our sleds at night and the basement room to keep all our gear were perfect!!Thank you for a great stay!

A Short Stay in Millinocket

Four Years And Running

Another great stay in Millinocket! The house has suited our large party four years in a row. Perfect for hiking in Baxter and rafting the Penobscot. We love this place!

We love Millinocket! Centrally located in town we are very close to a variety of great things to do. We are within walking distance to restaurants and bars, gift and antique shops. We are just a few minutes by car to a large grocery store and drugstore. We are surrounded by ATV and snowmobile trails, and close to the Appalachian Trail, Baxter State Park and Mt Katahdin, the new Woods & Water National Monument, and other great trails and wildlife preserves all within about a half and hour's drive.
