Private Lakefront Gem Within Minutes of Baxter State Park

Come and enjoy one of the best views in all of northern Maine. Drink your coffee or sip your glass of wine while admiring Mt. Katahdin's beauty and listening to the loons of Millinocket Lake. Our spacious, five bedroom, contemporary home provides everything. you need to relax. You will be centrally located within one mile to two fantastic restaurants, 10 minutes to Baxter State Park, and 15 minutes to town. Enjoy a day on the lake in a boat or laze on the shoreline with our sand beach. We have a canoe and kayak available to use right from our dock. Snowmobilers will have direct access from the driveway with a drive in and drive out garage and ATVers can access the trails about 5 miles away. Recreational trails are available for all your outdoor adventures. Fat tire bikes, snowmobiles, x-country skis, snowshoes, and boats are all available for rental within one mile of the house. If you'd like a touch of the real world we have high-speed internet provided by Starlink and streaming TV available for your viewing pleasure. While you're in our lake house you will also enjoy the comforts of whole-home air conditioning. Baxter State Park, Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, and Gulf Hagas all within a short drive from the lake house. Come see this spectacular property for yourself and appreciate all the benefits that our lake house has to offer.

A beautiful spot for our family to gather. Lake is clean, enjoyed private beach and also relaxing from the camp property. Easy access from main road. Lots of space, beds and seating for everyone. An amazing place to spend a week during a Maine summer.

The house, property and lake exceeded our expectations. The boat house had a canoe and more kayaks than we expected. Plenty of water vests allowed 6 people to enjoy the lake at the same time. The house is beautiful and spacious. We had a great week!

The Lake House

We were a family group of 10 and we loved our trip to The Lake House! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed from an amazing kitchen, tons of bath towels, beach towels, 4 kayaks, a canoe, floating tubes, corn hole, etc. We spent our days paddling, swimming and fishing in the lake and also explored some short hiking trails and natural water slides in Baxter State Park. We have stayed in many rental properties and The Lake House is 1 of the best!

Great place with awesome views!

This house was spacious and had plenty of room for the group, the views were fantastic. I really liked the lay out of the house, the balconies, the parking. We had a small heating issue since it was 6 out lol but the owner took care of it within minutes. He was very gracious and helpful.. I highly recommend this place

Winter wonderland

We rented this home to go enjoy snowmobiling. The home was at the perfect location to the trails. The owner was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The home was super clean and was everything as described. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.

The best of Maine

We absolutely loved the Lake House. Everything was perfect. VRBO process was easy and accurate. The house was exquisitely clean. The house was also full of all the amenities we could want and very peaceful. The property manager, Reid, was helpful, pleasant, and professional. We fully recommend this house and will return!

Amazing experience

Headed up to Millinocket to hit some white water rafting in the Penobscot river we have been coming many years this is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed and has the most beautiful view not all the House top tier an easy access to the water spare kayaks and canoes was the perfect relaxing weekend for my bachelor party or we will be back

Fantastic place!

We had a wonderful time! It is super close (less than 5 min drive time) to the white water rafting center. Bedrooms were good sized, kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and basic spices, and bathrooms were clean and big. The property had kayaks as well and we had a great time kayaking in the river. The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions to get to the house correctly. Will definitely visit again to make more memories!

Wow

We just had a fantastic stay here!! So clean. So spacious. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice. The house had everything you could possibly need but also gave plenty of space for storage. We had 4 adults and 3 kids (ranging from 2 years to 7 years) and it was such a fun and easy weekend for us. 11/10 recommend.

Perfect spot for any season

Our family gathered here for the 2024 solar eclipse and could not have asked for a better place. The property is quiet, well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The property owner is responsive and helpful. We lucked out with great weather: sunny and clear views of Katahdin, with ice still on the lake and piles of snow from a spring snowstorm. This property would have been great with any weather. Cannot recommend highly enough

Fabulous

The Lake House is a unique property in the area in that it is larger and more modern and yet has maintained a warm and comfortable 'lake' feeling. The host is responsive and everyone in our group had a wonderful time. We heard the loons and used the kayaks to go to lunch at River Driver's Restaurant. We sunned on the dock and swam in the water. The camp is well situated in that it is convenient to NEOC as well as the Trading Post. Definitely a 5 star property. I am sure to be back.

Absolutely Amazing Views

This house was the perfect place for my family’s vacation. With five large bedrooms, large kitchen, large family room, and huge yard there was plenty of space to spread out! The back deck was perfect for relaxing with a book after a fun filled day of adventure. The lake was absolutely beautiful and the views of katahdin were stunning. There are kayaks and a canoe for exploring the lake! We had trailer issues on our drive up and the open bay garage was a perfect place to work on it. The house had everything you could need during your stay! Our only complaint would be that the hardwood floors were very slippery if you were wearing socks. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Great stay!

Incredible property!! The pictures don’t do this property justice. My family and I had the most wonderful experience staying here. The accommodations are great (clean, well stocked, tons of space, etc) but the views from your balcony are truly amazing.
