About this property

Riverside 3 bedroom 2 bath near Baxter State Park

Snowmobile riders - there is not trail access directly from the house. But there is a trail 1 mile from the house. It is located across the street at the intersection of Route 157 and Medway (Rice Farm) Rd. Our guests have used the side of the road to get to the trail.

Whitewater rafters, if you book with Jump and Raft, their new headquarters are directly across the street from the house. Just walk across the street to get on the bus. Very convenient! There is also a restaurant there.

Outdoor lover’s paradise with boating, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, whitewater rafting, four wheeling, moose and bird watching all available nearby.

Lovely open concept 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with wraparound deck overlooking the Penobscot River. South facing walls are all glass, making the cabin very bright and sunny. The cabin has a full kitchen and a full size washer and dryer. Grocery stores, restaurants and other amenities are only 3 ½ miles away. Baxter State Park is located a quick 21 miles away. Eagles fly overhead daily. Fish on the banks of the river. Stairs to river installed 2020. Phase 2 with deck to be installed 2021. Cabin comes equipped with canoe, kayaks, firepit, patio set, Adirondack chairs, lounging chaises, chairs for around firepit. Firewood is provided. There is a satellite tv in the living room with a dvd player and lots of movies. Also, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. There is WiFi. Or you can unplug and relax on the deck or by the firepit and watch the river flow by. Snowmobiling and ATV trails nearby. There is plenty of room in the yard for your trailers.
Roof extended over deck. No more shoveling stairs. Now able to sit outside in the rain. July 2016 - installed whole house automatic generator.Don't need to worry if the power goes out - generator will turn on within a minute.

Peacefulness
We had a wonderful time just renewing ourselves!! The windows toward the water kept us mesmerized even though we had a lot of rain. This has been on my bucket list for years and it was everything and more such beautiful colors perfect timing! Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin!!!

Nice place, bad host
Two other units we were supposed to stay at during our trip to Maine had to cancel due to Hurricane Lee. I reached out to the host and they responded saying "what? There's no hurricane. If there were a hurricane I would have heard about it." Kinda a weird thing to lie about, but okay? They never responded to my second message either. With a host that treats their customers this way you might be better off finding a different place to stay in Millinocket.

Great place
This was the best vacation our family had in a long time. It’s private, and spacious, and close to town but right on the water. We would stay again for sure.

Lovely, quiet lodging on W. Branch of Penobscot River
Loved having a drink and watching the sunset on the three outdoor seating spots on porch and backyard and on platform off steps to the river. Also enjoyed seeing the full bright “Blue Moon” sinking down behind the trees during the night from thee we fabulous huge bedroom window . We felt miles from civilization, yet we were so conveniently located to the road up to Baxter for hiking, Katahdin General store, Hannaford’s and the road to the Lumbermen’s Museum up in Patten. The house was spotless and had everything a renter could possibly need. We highly recommend this house and hope to return.
