Waterfront Sea Cottage


Experience seaside living at its best while vacationing at this light and bright 2BR/2BA newly renovated modern cottage which includes new furniture, bathrooms, appliances and much more! Enjoy the waterfront balcony overlooking the intercoastal water ways with views of Space-X. Long Island Village is a gated community located just across the Intracoastal Waterway via a swing bridge from Port Isabel, Texas. Enjoy amenities such as an 18-hole, par 3 golf course, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, Jacuzzis, volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, exercise room, billiard room, miniature golf course, library, laundry, and tennis courts. Explore a variety of restaurants, shops and local attractions in Port Isabel and just minutes from South Padre Island.


*Please Read*

Check-in:
Long Island Village requires an $90 resort fee that will be paid directly to LIV upon check-in at the Welcome Center and is not included in your VRBO booking fees. The resort fee covers the parking passes (two vehicles maximum), Gate code to enter premises and resort wristbands to access on-site amenities. The welcome center is open until 5:00PM Monday-Saturday.

Travelers arriving after 5PM:
In order to facilitate entry, please notify me at least 24 hrs before arrival so that I can make arrangements to have your name on the security guard list to get past the gate. You will then have to follow check-in procedure, as stated above the following morning.

*Please do not climb on the boat or lift.

*Absolutely NO drugs on premises.

*Visitors of guests MUST respect and follow house rules.
Any damages incurred by visitors will be your responsibility.

*NO smoking inside of the cottage, please step out to the balcony or boat dock if needed and do not put out cigarettes with your foot as they leave black marks on the wood and damage the flooring.

*NO Loud music or parties
* Absolutely no grilling or frying with a gas burner is allowed on the balcony or on the patio wooded floor. *Grilling or frying is only allowed in a safe concrete area.
*If using the grill, please move the BBQ pit to a safe concrete area and dispose ashes or coals after use.
* DO NOT take anything that belongs to the cottage, this includes but not limited to: towels, dishes, insulated cups, electronic devices etc..

Clean and comfortable

This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed at. They had lots of fresh towels, plenty of kitchen supplies, and everything we would need. The location would be amazing to watch SpaceX. We went for a fishing trip and would love to return to watch a launch someday. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing cottage

This was our 2nd time staying at this amazing cottage. Our family had a wonderful time everything was above expectations and cleanliness of property is superb. We loved our stay.

Great getaway

My family & I went for a quick weekend trip to the coast. We had a good time. The house was very clean & had everything we needed inside. The owner was very helpful & I liked how she kept in touch if we needed anything & if there were any problems or questions she was very easy to reach.

A memory of a lifetime

I booked this property for the sole purpose of watching a Starship launch in person. The cottage was comfortable and well kept. Plus, there is a prefect view of the launch pad from the deck. Unfortunately, the launch was delayed several times, but Jessica was gracious enough to extend my stay each time. It was a great experience and I plan to book this unit again for a future launch.

Vacation at Long Island Village

This is an amazing property. It has a great view of Space X and sense of privacy. We loved watching the barges pass thru the Intercoastal Waterway. We could even witness ships on their way to Brownsville port. The owners are exceptional. Always answered or returned my calls (which were minimal). The property was very clean and our bed was very comfortable. A great place to stay. If you are a pickel ball player, LIV is the place to go.

A SpaceX experience we will never forget

I probably should not share my thoughts because we really want to be able to book again lol. The location is perfect in Port Isabel and just a short ride to SPI and Boca Chica. It is so comfortable and we felt right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We were able to watch the launch from the back patio. I cannot describe the feeling watching the launch. You could hear the sonic booms and felt the vibrations it was the most incredible experience for all of us. We did not spend much time at the amenities LIV has to offer but maybe next time. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us.

Beautiful and clean

House is beautiful and very clean. It is a duplex, which we didn’t notice in the listing ahead of time, and the boat pictured blocks the majority of the dock on the rented side. Jessica was very helpful and reached out to her neighbors for permission to use their dock to fish from, which we greatly appreciated. The house is in a nice neighborhood, but you do have to pay a 92 fee at check in for the amenities, though we never used them and never planned to. The internet was down until the last night we stayed due to the neighbors damaging the cables while working in their yard, which also meant there was no tv. Jessica reached out to notify me before we had even noticed it was down and stayed in contact through the entire repair process. The 2nd floor bedroom is open with no door, which was a little challenging with small children, but we managed. Wonderful host, nice property.

Great place!

I had a great stay in Jan and Feb '24. The house was very clean, updated and very well stocked with pretty much everything you'll need in the kitchen, etc. The house is in a perfect location in the community so that the deck overlooks an open area and Boca Chica (SpaceX) and not on top of your neighbors. Also, the deck faces south (I think) and gets a great afternoon sun in Jan/Feb. Aaron was very responsive and an excellent host! Everyone that I met in the Long Island Village community was super friendly. The community facilities are a bit dated, but offered a lot to do with pools, hot tubs, tennis, pickle ball, billiards room, ping pong, shuffleboard and more. There is an 18 hole par-3 course that was fun to play. It's great for working on your short game, but it could be maintained better. For example, the greens are not cut short. If you like playing pristine courses, you probably won't love it. All-in-all it's a great place with great owners. I'd definitely stay again!

Lovely Waterfront Sea Cottage

Lovely sea cottage, newly remodeled and decorated. Very pleasant and comforting. Complete kitchen for preparing any meals, if you wish. Comfortable furniture and bedding. The outside deck is covered and very comfortable. Great stay!
