Fantastic ski location! Beautiful, brand new 2 BR unit sleeps 6
Located in East Bench, a neighborhood in Salt Lake City, this vacation home is in the mountains. Snowbird Ski Resort and Solitude Mountain Resort are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda. Paddle Wasatch and Loveland Living Planet Aquarium are also worth visiting. Be sure not to miss outdoor adventures like rock climbing and hiking.
The host was excellent and communicative. The location is unbeatable if you’re skiing either canyons. 23 minutes to Brighton which is where we spent our time. The house and rooms were overall very clean. The kitchen could use some slight updating/deep cleaning but overall it was not a concern and we did most of our cooking at the house. Washer and dryer work well. Overall, I’d recommend this place!
Host experience was poor, amenities were poor and the cleanliness and upkeep of appliances and property were poor.

This place is located very close to the mountain , but that's about it...it is not suitable for anyone who cares about where they stay...not very clean, unpleasant smell, we had to move out after one night even though we booked for a week
Convenient location to Snowbird as well as Picklr!Really good value and comfortable. Manager responded quickly as well when we had an issue and resolved it.
Location was great for our needs. Property was fine, nothing was a major issue. Kitchen was small. Lawn needed to be mowed. Stairs were a little steep. Would stay again.
Excellent location right off Wasatch Blvd in between both Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. Nate very responsive. Once duplex is renovated and new carpets are put in, it will be a gem!!
Stayed there with two buddies to go snowboarding. Overall incredible location for Alta/Snowbird. Grocery stores and coffee near by. Renter was incredibly quick to respond and had a great attitude in general. Worth it for sure!!
We had a lovely stay at this home. Nate was very responsive and even dropped off some AAA batteries when we couldn’t get the TV remote to work (talk about service!!). The location was perfect, quiet, and the beds/pillows were very comfy. The grocery store is very close and convenient. The home is a little older, exactly like the pictures look like, which added charm.
Great location to Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. The Property had everything listed and needed for our stay. Nice and clean. Could use some updates. Had a great time skiing Utah’s finest powder at Alta, Snowbird and Park City.
The Perfect Quaint Accommodations with a Michelin-Star Host
Location
My stay at this property could not have been more enjoyable. The property is located in an area that allows for incredibly easy access to the freeway, which made my daily commute to/from Silicon Slopes incredibly easy.
Property
The property was just what I needed for the purpose of my visit. The laundry, kitchen, and garage for my rental car made the stay that much more enjoyable.
Host
The host of this property, Nate, ought to be VRBO's national instructor for all other hosts. During my stay, there was a time-sensitive matter that I needed to relay to Nate. Normally, from my experience staying at other rental properties, I didn't have high hopes that he would reply right away. But boy, was I proven wrong! Nate could not have been more responsive, understanding, and kind. The matter was quickly resolved, and Nate's handling of the situation is ultimately what boosted this stay from being 'great' to 'exceptional'.
If I'm back visiting SLC and need a rental to stay at, there is no question that I will be booking this property once more!
The location of this property is a 10! If your goal is to be close to the canyons for skiing or hiking this has very easy access. Additionally, it's a block away from a grocery store and close to other shopping you may need. The garage is a big bonus too in the winter - could fit 2 cars.
The inside pictures of the property are accurate. The bathroom configuration is odd, but it works well for a small group. Definitely dated and could use some work in the kitchen. If you intend on cooking, the options are minimal and the quality of the pots & pans is not good. We purchased a new pan and knife and left them there. Ice trays would be another welcome addition.
I was staying with 2 sons in their early 20s. I would stay there again with them but I probably not with other friends.
The check-in and out was easy (no over the top requests for how we left the property). My only issue with communication is that I had to ask the owner for details for getting in the property and check-out procedures.
Tip: It's worth the powder, but on a snowy day, allow AMPLE time to get off the mountain - like possibly 4 hours from Alta.

Property Needs Attention
For the price and the location I didn't expect luxury, but I suspect the owner forgot we were coming until the last minute or needs a new cleaning service. Every time I saw a spot of something, I thought - well that must be a stain so no worries -- but then I was able to wipe off the dirt. I suspect there are more people going in and out during the winter months for skiing as it is a great location for skiers, but in the summer there must be many less visitors. I cleaned the kitchen on my own upon arrival -- that was the worst part. When we came in the oven was left on broil!
The other issue was a lack of hand towels or washcloths. There were bath towels present.
The washing machine was filled with sheets and stuck in the middle of the load. My attempts to unstick it and complete the cycle did not work.
I did let the owner know of all of these issues and he responded quickly and regularly, but there were no solutions while we were there other than a thanks for letting us know about the broiler, washer, etc.
Finally, note the concern about a lack of smoke/carbon monoxide detector. I suggest that would be a vital addition to the property.
This home has everything you need—well appointed with VERY comfy beds. It’s walking distance to hikes and a quick drive to downtown SLC and suburbs—Cottonwood, Millcreek, Sandy. We would definitely visit/rent again.
