Three bedroom condo on the Outer Banks - great view, overlooks Manteo Harbor!

Third floor waterfront condominium overlooks Manteo Harbor, Festival Island Park and historic attractions. Short walk to dozens of shops and restaurants. Ideal for wedding parties: two reception facilities and two popular wedding sites within walking distance. We provide everything you need for a fantastic visit - all bed linens, comforters, towels, cookware, etc.

Over two miles of sound front paved walkway is accessible from the adjacent harbor. Elizabethan Gardens, Lost Colony outdoor drama, Fort Raleigh historic site, NC public Aquarium and regional airport (MQI)within 10 minute drive. Fifteen minute drive to Nags Head public beaches, Jockey's Ridge and Outer Banks shopping and restaurants. Building equipped with elevator and password secured parking. Note: during the summer season (mid-June to late August), the property rents weekly, from Saturday to Saturday.

My name is Chris Sawin - my wife Karen and I manage this property for my parents, who moved to the Outer Banks in the early 70s. We have six children, two sets of parents, lots of siblings, nieces and nephews, plus two grand children who all live on the Outer Banks.

My parents Steve and Karen purchased this condominium after they retired. They owned an oceanfront motel in Kill Devil Hills for 45 years and still live on a portion of that property. They grew up in Wisconsin, married and attended university there.

Why they chose this property

This is a jewel of a little town. Hugged by water and touched by limitless sky, Manteo feels as open as what surrounds it. Locals say hello and smile a welcome to visitors. The town’s kids can be watched joyously jumping off the bridge that leads to Festival Park in the summer heat. And every direction you look, there’s an interesting shop, beckoning restaurant, creative art gallery, fun attraction … and such beautiful scenery. From one spot on the boardwalk that surrounds the waterfront town, you can see Roanoke Island Marshes Lighthouse, Elizabeth II, flags fluttering, sails catching breezes and vessels docked alongside each other, a playground with prancing kids, a gazebo perched over the water, attractive bed and breakfasts and inns and people happily taking in all the pleasure this town offers.

What makes this property unique

A spectacular view of the harbor and the Albemarle Sound all the way to the Nags Head beaches and the ocean can be seen from your front porch. A waterfront walk-way runs from nearby grocery stores and shops past your apartment on to the Festival Park with live amphitheater, museum and historic boat replica. Deep sea fishing charter inlets beckon from two nearby locations and miles and miles of canals to be explore by kayak start a few miles away.
