Great for groups

We had a great stay at the Sewanee House. We were there for a game at Sewanee and it was the perfect location. We had three families and we each had our own section of the house. The kitchen was very well appointed and the assortment of little bowls was adorable. The outdoor area at night, with the string lights on, was so peaceful. My bed and pillow was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and great water pressure in my shower. My only suggestions would be to have the grass cut (it looked a little abandoned when we drove up) and the grill was quite dirty. Other than that it was perfect.

Great house and convenient to Sewanee

We loved the house and the back yard. We took our dogs and hung out by the fire pit at night. Perfect location near campus and several walking trails.

Family Christmas

We enjoyed our time there (especially the fire pit). Wasnā€™t quite big enough for all of us - might want to include a layout in listing. Plenty of room for all to spread out. Would recommend getting some serving bowls & a heater in primary bedroom.

Wonderful & Beautiful

We loved our time at The Sewanee House! There was plenty of room for all 13 of us, but our favorite place was the beautiful outdoor space in the back of the home. We spent hours out there! Great communication with our sweet host. We would love to stay here again!

Speechless

We could not have asked for a better place to stay to experience our first time in Tennessee. Kathryn, the host, was extremely communicative, and beyond nice. We booked this beautiful property to host our small wedding in the backyard and stayed here with some friends and family. The property is absolutely breathtaking, it was SO clean, and had so many things available for use including dishes and silverware and lots of room for groceries. I could go on and on about our stay here. If youā€™re questioning it, BOOK NOW. We cannot wait to come back here.

Outside area

This house was great. We had a group of 16 women and the beds were good and for the most part clean. Several lights in master bedroom did not work and we couldnā€™t find the coffee grinder listed but everything else was great! The outside area is majestic!

This place was perfect for my family of 17. We had permission to allow up to 40 people for a family gathering and there was so much room to roam outside in the lovely backyard. I could have stayed a week there. You will not be disappointed with the Sewanee House. Loved it.

The kids loved the bedroom upstairs! Nice first impression when you walk into the foyer. All the beds were comfy. Plenty of room for 4 families. Beautiful setting in the woods.

Our St. Paddy's Day Weekend

10 of us headed to unknown terrirtory--stayed in Sewanee to attend a concert (Irish band "Altan") at The Caverns. We wanted a place we could all be together (ha, we travel in a herd) and wanted a place where we would not disturb anyone as we love our music, competitive games (ha). This place was PERFECT! Extra clean, plenty of room, clear on what we needed to do on arrival/departure. Kathryn, property manager, was an awesome communicator, and appreciated her efforts in finding places to eat--we ate/drank Shenanigans and loved that place. Everyone had a great time and we would stay here again, but alas, other places to check off our bucket list (hey we are old but fun-loving).

Birthday Getaway

We wanted to get away to Sewanee to celebrate our sons birthday. This was the perfect place with more than enough room for the 8 of us. The house had everything we needed and the most comfortable beds. Can't wait for another visit to the mountain.

Best Weekend Getaway!

This house was everything we could have asked for in a weekend getaway. We had 8 adults & 1 infant and we have everything we needed. The kitchen is amazingly stocked with the best appliances and cookware. Itā€™s the perfect house to accommodate a large group and VERY children friendly. The communication with the property manager has been professional and super informative. We had no issues with appliances or cleanliness. We especially loved the sun room, and the large dining table!

Great for friends and family!

Excellent stay all the way around. Gorgeous property and home - loved all the rooms and amenities. We cooked a big family dinner and had guests over on the back patio - perfect setting. The host was MORE than responsive - Kathryn let us take our family to the listing before our stay graciously. Highly recommend and will stay again next time in Sewanee. You wont be disappointed.

Wedding weekend

Great space to unwind and regather ourselves between events for our nieces wedding. Wish we had more time to just enjoy this beautiful home and all it had to offer. Great sleeping arrangements for three couples and 3 teens. Kathryn was a great host, with great communication and support for our trip. Thanks so much! And the yearbooks were a definite highlight - we were able to find a couple years for my brother and my dad. So neat!

Beautiful home!

This house was absolute perfection. It is exactly as listed and has anything you could possibly need and more. We were in town for a family wedding and brought our adult children and grands. The house has a great layout. Two huge bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. The master and two additional bedrooms are downstairs along with two day beds. All beds had super comfy mattresses and linens and their towels are super top quality. The master bathroom was bigger than some bedrooms Iā€™ve been in at rentals with a bathtub as big as a hot tub. The dining areas were huge and the kitchen is so well stocked for a rental! Now, letā€™s talk about the beautiful and peaceful outdoor space. We wished we could have stayed out there the whole weekend. Enjoyed our coffee and breakfast outside each morning while the kids ran around and explored the huge yard. Birds and all kinds of critters to watchā€¦total plus for our outdoorsy family. Extra large front load washer and dryer were super convenient so we all went home with clean clothesā€¦love to not have dirty laundry upon arrival at home. Checkin and checkout were a breeze and Kathryn was a fantastic communicator. Finally, the beautiful fresh flowers they left for us were the icing on the cake. The most gorgeous and unexpected surprise. Just wish we could have seen the garden these gorgeous blooms came from. Donā€™t hesitate to book this exemplary home! Be sure to go see the overlook in town as well. Such a beautiful site!

This was our second stay at this home, and it was even better than the first stay. The owner has added additional furniture and decorations - and it is beautiful. Kathryn is an exceptional host and ensured that our stay was perfect.

Fabulous home! Great location!

Kathrynā€™s home is beautiful and was very comfortable for our group of six. Very well stocked with everything that we needed - and located close to everything in Sewanee. We enjoyed hiking trails and lots of Sewanee baseball. Kathryn was very accommodating and responded quickly - even checking in the first day to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We have already booked our second trip to this wonderful home!
