HOUSE FEATURES:

Newly remodeled 3 bedroom luxury beach front home on large gulf front lot. No houses in front of or behind. This is the perfect vacation rental, great for families or couples. The interior is spacious with an open concept living area. There's plenty of outdoor space with fabulous views! Listen to the waves crash in as you fall asleep or take a nap on one of the two porches. Watch the sun set over the west end from the porch or as you walk along the white sandy beach.

This is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house on Dauphin Island which sleeps 8. Enjoy the quiet southern lifestyle of one of the last Gulf islands to remain unaffected by commercial tourism.

FURTHER DETAILS:

Plenty of comfortable furnishings and a table that will seat the whole group! Large table that seats 8 plus 3 additional stools at the kitchen bar. Perfect for lunch or snack after time out on the sand.

The house is fully furnished with bedroom TV's and a large TV in the living area (50” Plasma). Broadband wi-fi is available free of charge (although service on the Island can be spotty at times).

Outside are two large porches. One on the east side and one large porch that wraps around the south and west sides of the house. Unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico as well as views of the Mississippi Sound. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as you listen to the waves roll in or watch the sun set in the west over the Island. The back porch offers full sun or shade as it is partially covered.

There is NOTHING but white sand between the steps from the porch to the Gulf of Mexico. No houses, no roads…directly on the Gulf. This means no putting on shoes or loading the car to head to the beach…it’s all right there!!!

The kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, blender, coffee maker, etc… and has a four burner stove with electric oven. A double sink, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer w/ icemaker are also featured. There is a standalone icemaker; however it does not work and is not advertised with the house.

The spacious master bedroom has an additional gaming table that seats 6 along with the king size bed! Great for a late night game of cards or for those who need to check-in with the office while on vacation. The master bath features a large soaker tub, a walk-in shower and double sinks. The jack-and-jill style bath in between the other 2 bedrooms also features double sinks and a tub/shower combo.

ISLAND INFORMATION:

Dauphin Island is very laid back & non-commercialized, but has shops, a grocery store, bakery & several restaurants ranging from pizza, ice cream and burgers, to great seafood and steaks. Island is accessible by bridge. Gulf Shores & Fort Morgan are only a few miles away & are accessible by auto ferry (makes a great day trip).

For attractions, visit the Sea Lab, historic Fort Gaines, view birds and wildlife & explore secluded beaches at the Audubon Sanctuary, fish on the beach, charter a boat for sightseeing or deep-sea fishing, swim, bike, walk, collect shells, or JUST RELAX!

ADVANCE RENT: ONE-HALF of rental rate is due at booking. ONE-HALF of rental rate is required 45 days prior to check in. There is a 60 day cancellation policy on all rentals.

We accept: personal checks and credit cards (via VRBO and PayPal).

ALL RESERVATIONS WILL BE CHARGED A CLEANING FEE ($150).

DEPOSITS

A $500 DAMAGE/SECURITY DEPOSIT is required for all rentals and is due with the second half of your rent 45 days prior to arrival. It is fully refundable if conditions are met. Deposits are returned to you through your method of original payment approximately 7 days after check out.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR DAMAGE DEPOSIT REFUND

Including but not limited to the following:

* No Damage to House

* No missing or broken items.

* No more than the maximum number of occupants in the property.

* Property is left reasonable clean, no dirty dishes, all trash taken to outside containers, in general just general tidying of the property.

We reserve the right to deduct excess cleaning & damage charges from the deposit.

PETS:

THERE IS A PET FEE OF $100.

* Dogs must be under a pest management system for fleas and ticks.

* Do not allow your dog onto the furniture. Please use the extra throws to cover our white slipcovered furniture to keep it pet hair and stain free.

* Please ensure that your dog does not chew on the furniture or other items.

* Please, please, please bring a pooper scooper. Pick up after your dog. Children like to walk and play in the sand.

* Dauphin Island has a leash law. Dogs must either be on a leash or be under voice command at all times.

CANCELLATIONS:

DEPOSIT & ADVANCE RENT are refundable, if reservation is canceled 60 days prior to arrival. We will also refund if we can re-book the property. A $25 processing fee is charged on all cancellations.

We are a fun loving family of 5. My husband (C.O.) and I (Kristen) are the proud parents of three girls. We live in Missouri and are excited to get to spend time in Dauphin Island at our home away from home and to share this home with others. We enjoy all of the activities that the Island has to offer and feel blessed knowing our girls will grow up in such a great environment on the Island making priceless memories.

Why Kristen West chose Dauphin Island

This property is very special to us. My husband visited Dauphin Island when he was 16 and his family took a detour on their memorable trip to the Olympics in 1996. He knew then that he wanted to return to Dauphin Island and dreamed of owning a home there someday to share with his family. We think that you will find the house is uniquely situated directly on the Gulf with 360° views of all the Island has to offer from the sunrise in the east, the Gulf to the south, the Sound to the North and the sunsets to the West.

What makes this house unique

Island Lure is located midway down the West End of the island and sits directly on the beach/gulf with nothing but white sand between you and the waters edge. It is a very short drive or bike ride to the far West End of the Island, which has lifeguards and various other attractions/vendors during the summer months. Additionally, it is only a short drive from the local grocery store, shops, restaurants, golf course, Estuarium and Fort Gaines on the East End of the Island. The house offers a wide variety of outdoor space to hang out and relax from a full sun porch on the south side of the house to the shade on the west side porch and all underneath the house. Three swings are located below the house to listen to the waves roll in. There are dual staircases allowing access to the beach from either side of the home. It has been professionally decorated to provide a laid back atmosphere for your stay so that you can rest, relax and recharge before heading back to reality.

Wonderful beachhome on water!!

We had 4 adults and had a wonderful week in this wonderful home! Views of ocean and Sandy beach were awesome! Had all appliances, pot/pans and dishware needed! Home is exceptionally clean with nice furnishing. Home is all on one floor which we enjoyed with no stairs inside! Definately needs new mattresses in master and secondary bedrooms and appliances could use an update but everything else was fantastic! Know that this home was just purchased from a previous owner so I am sure these items will be considered by new owners. But if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay that is beautiful inside and on the beach and very quite this is it! Thank you for a fantastic week and we will be back!

This was our second trip to the island, as well as staying at Island Lure! It was such a relaxing vacation. We love it there. We love the people, the home, the view, and the location. Kristen was amazing and responded so quickly. We are looking forward to returning again next year!!

Great for the Family!

Our daughters and their families shared this home for a 1st multi-family vacation. It worked great for us....all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare great meals. We appreciated the beach chairs and other misc. beach items. My 5 & 2 year old grandsons had a great time, 1st time on the beach for them, swimming, hunting pirate treasures, and flying kites. We would rent this house again.
