Perfect getaway ski trip. Stayed Dec. 18-23 4 adults 4 kids. It was large enough for all of us. Ski in/ski out was perfect. Decor was nice and accommodations comfortable. Kids loved all the games and puzzles for down time. Really couldn't have been any better. Only suggestion would be if we could take all our non perishable food to the common room for collection and maintanance could take to a shelter. Hate throwing away good food. Thank you!!!
This condo was great for our group of 6 adults - squeaky clean, super comfortable and had everything we needed. Because the ski in/out is so convenient, we were all back and forth to the condo 2-3 times a day - to warm up, eat, etc and back on the slopes with ease. Love the large kitchen table and comfortable living room with fireplace and tv. The bedrooms were large and comfortable with TVs in each room as well. The lodge at the base of Peak 8 is a great resource for this condo, having a nice restaurant/bar if you want to eat out and take a short walk to your destination. We loved our stay here.
We stayed at this condo with our family of 6 (4 children) for one week for spring break. It was very convenient with the ski in and ski out location! The ski lockers are great for not having to haul equipment upstairs and the parking was very convenient. Our suburban (no roof rack) fit on the 2nd floor garage. The unit was clean and comfortable. Furnishings are a bit dated and worn, but we didn't spend much time in the condo or even turn on the tv because we were so exhausted after skiiing/dinner each day! My suggestions would be more/better bed pillows and perhaps new mattresses. The pillows currently in the condo are very flat and hard and there are only 2 per bed. We had enough towels for 2 per person, but it would have been nice to have more or I would suggest bringing your own pool towels for the hot tub. The large dining table is a nice addition to the kitchen which was well stocked with basics. You will need to purchase toilet paper and paper towels on your first grocery run. We really liked the bench/hooks in the front hall for removing boots, undressing children and hanging ski clothes! The loft is perfect for kids, but if they are younger than 5 be aware that the stairs are a bit hazardous and hard to child-proof. There is also a raised edge around the fireplace area. Overall a great value and location for a family ski vacation. We enjoyed our trip and would return again! Our children especially loved the slope-side hot tubs.
This condo was fantastic for our group of 6 adults, but we could easily have done 8. 10 people, like the listing says it sleeps, might be a little crowded with only 2 bathrooms, but there is enough space to stay spread out. The recent renovations are terrific, like the new showers and flooring. The building could not be closer to the ski hill, and the ski lockers are easily accessible. The property is well maintained, and the lounges and hot tub were great to use. There's not much of a view from the unit itself except for some trees, but it's beautiful regardless. I could not recommend this condo more, it really is a great value given its recent updates and proximity to the hill. This is the best condo I have found in Breckenridge for this price range, and you will not regret staying here.
Some things to note for your stay: toilet paper was not provided other than one roll to start with, so you'll want to bring some along. We found there were plenty of utensils and kitchen supplies to cook several meals during our stay, but if you're curious if something is there, the owner was very responsive to my inquiries. Also, there aren't a lot of towels, so you may want to bring one per person to use for the hot tub, and trust me, you want to use the hot tubs. They have a great view at night watching the snow cats groom, foxes that run right next to the gate, and decent stargazing. We all loved to use them (yep, there's 2 that seat about 8 people each).
Perfectly ski in-ski out location, very clean and cozy, with beautiful view. Group of friends had lots of lovely memories staying. The ower was so much helpful that he even helped us loading our cars through the icy uphill road. Would love to come back again.
This was a great location! We stayed in 3 units at the skiwatch building this year, the location cannot be beat! The really nice thing about this unit is that it's a corner unit, which means more space! The hot tubs were great, and the building manager was always available to help us with anything! The loft is nice and spacious, plenty of room up there.
The covered parking was nice, our suburban with a ski rack fit in the lower level lot (6'10" clearance).
Ski Watch is ON the Claimjumper Run. Walk out the door, step into your skis and you're off. At day's end, you can ski to the hot tub. The nordic center is just down the road. Nearby you can enjoy a snowmobile tour, a sleigh ride dinner, ice skating, or dog sledding. The Town Recreation center offers swimming, tennis, climbing walls, spin classes, and more.
