2024 brand new Jacuzzi tub for 6! Two stone fireplaces, pool table with ping pong overlay all on the same level as the kitchen, dining and 3 bedrooms all on main. Two bright and spacious bedrooms on the second level, and a newly improved and finished walk out basement with door leading straight to the lake. Finished space in basement for sleeping.

Spacious 4,200+ sq ft lake home located on large private lot(nearly 2 acres) with 270 feet of shallow rock lined beach with a hard sandy bottom . (no pets allowed on the grounds) This home has 4 bedrooms with 1 king, 4 queen and 3 single beds, and 3 full bathrooms, 2 stone fireplaces, 2 refrigerators, a large living room, game room, kitchen and washer/dryer on the main level. Dining table that seats 9-10. There is another finished area in the basement with TV.
Minimum age to rent is 35 years old.
Recently remodeled with some modern improvements including new flooring throughout the entire main common area and master bed/bathroom. Enjoy expansive windows, 2022 Marvin slider with screen door in the living room out to the large wrap around deck. In the front yard there is a basketball hoop, tetherball, swing set, and playhouse for children. 4 Stand Up Paddleboards(SUP's) that come with the rental! A 20' Partykraft pontoon boat is available to rent for an additional fee. Sorry, no jet skis may be brought in.

The house is conveniently located 10 miles east of Brainerd and 8 miles west of Garrison and also the famous Lake Mille Lacs walleye factory. The Brainerd Lakes area is also known as Minnesota's resort capital and home to many championship golf courses. Portage Lake is one branch of the Crooked Lake chain with over 900 acres of clear water for boating, swimming and fishing. The property is available year round and is a great place for winter sports. There are many groomed biking, snowmobile, and cross country ski trails close by. Ice fishing is also popular with small villages of ice fishing houses springing up on the lakes when the lakes ice over.

Swingset is overlooking the VB net and lake and has 2 swings for many ages and one swing for infant. There is an outdoor firepit lakeside for hot dogs and smores! A charcoal grill and a 6 burner propane grill are provided.

Our family of 11 enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. We could not spend as much time as we had hoped on the water due to the weather, but we had fun playing badminton, volleyball, bags, pool, ping pong, darts, chess, etc. The hot tub and campfire were very relaxing. The 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms worked out perfectly for us. It was nice to have multiple sitting areas, two fridges, a well stocked kitchen, and an enormous master suite! Be sure to bring firewood.

This Vrbo was ideal for our camp-themed bachelorette! The cozy cabin had charming rustic decor, and the outdoor space with the lake and pontoon was perfect for relaxing and bonding. Great Getaway!

Great cabin with a perfect floor plan for mutliple families or guests. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the outside walls of the house with the center of the home being the common space (living room, kitchen, dining and game room). There was plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids and adults entertained. We also rented their pontoon and it worked great. We would stay again!

We stayed for a family new years weekend. Everything was great. The only thing was we walked into the house that was 50 degrees. Called and i was told where all the thermostats were. We used both fireplaces to get heat also. Will stay again.

Wonderful property

The house it's self has plenty of room to not feel crammed. Open concept and many bedrooms to fit 20 people comfortably. The house is very well organized and thought out on things you may need. Was pleased with the kitchen tools available. We stayed for an adult weekend, but as a mom of young children this house also would be very fitting for a family get away as well. Lots of activities for to do. We really enjoyed our stay and was thankful to find such a great property!

Couldn’t ask for better

Group of guys wanted to go on a fishing trip and I knew that I had to plan a place with some options in case weather was bad. The house had exactly everything it stated and was better then described. Great things to do on the indoors and out. The weather ended up being great and we got a good amount of fish on Crooked and we went to Mille lacs since it was a couple miles down the road. We also hopped on another lake and someone in our group caught a 44in Muskie. We were fishing for pan fish on that lake to to say the least the fact that we got that fish it the big it was a miracle. Very fun weekend couldn’t of asked for better out of the place or Marjorie. Every question I had was answered fast and she was very kind. Check-in and out went very smoothly with good instructions posted for us to follow. Again couldn’t of asked for a better place.

Great property

We stayed for a large family snowmobile trip (19 total adults/children). The property was perfect, it was clean, spacious, and stocked with all the necessary supplies one would need. There is plenty of parking for several vehicles and large trailers and the trails were easily accessible from the cabin. Communication was great, Marjorie quickly responded to any questions asked.

Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend! Everything was very neat and clean. We stayed in the middle of winter, did some grilling, ice fishing, and loved the open concept inside and the pool table! Plenty of room for our group of 12 to hang out, and plenty of beds for everyone. Marjorie was a fantastic host, and communication was very simple and informative. Wonderful Lake Front Property!!

This trip was for my 31st birthday and I couldn’t have asked for more from this stay. Marjorie provides all the necessary fun amenities, cooking tools, utilities and bedding comfort for my group. I love how everything is labeled and organized in the kitchen, which really helped our designated cooks to operate smoothly. Would recommend renting the pontoon because the lake is very clean and great for fishing. Overall, this was a 10/10 stay!

Wonderful!

We walked in and said "wow" it’s very nice and well decorated. Way bigger than what it’s looks like in the photos. Love all the hospitable signs and welcome messages, it's very thoughtful and considerate. We rented the pontoon and it was very convenient. The house was clean and cozy. We all fit at the big table for meals. There was lots to do to keep us busy. We really enjoyed the pool table and were able to wind down watching Netflix at night. We had a great time.

We are native Minnesotans who moved to California in 2003. I, Marjorie, grew up in neighboring Aitkin. Both my husband and I enjoyed the summers and the lakes of Minnesota and had both dreamed of owning a vacation property there someday. We have many family members and friends in Minnesota and this large home has been a wonderful place to gather.

Why they chose this property

Our vacationers love how it is mostly one level living, including the pool table and game room, which is visible from the kitchen so even those who are doing the cooking are part of the fun!

We stayed here as a vacation rental spot for our own family in Summer 2017. We absolutely fell in love with everything about the property, and knew this was where our dream would become a reality. The home is amazing, the lot it sits on is private and peaceful, the lake is so close you can talk to those on the dock from the balcony!! Furthermore, we enjoy this area because of the water activities, huge property and lot for our family to spread out in while there, restaurants and activities nearby if we want to get out, great golfing nearby. And, only two hours to get to from the Minneapolis airport. Great restaurants and golfing within 10 minutes!

What makes this property unique

The resident loon and eagles on this lake never fail to inspire us. Our property is around 2 acres filled with oak and pine trees and in a rural ,peaceful setting. Now that we own this home, we have made a few additions so our family and all the kids and adults alike will enjoy it even more including a pool table with a ping pong table overlay. Hours of fun, if the lake itself isn't already enough!!
