About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Detached Cottages, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 13)

GRANDVIEW, which was once known as Grandview at Pleasure Point, is a private estate located on 5¼ acres of Maryland’s famed Eastern Shore and is just minutes away from the restaurants and boutiques of St. Michael’s and Easton. It is surrounded by 1300’ of waterfront and 1,000 acres of wild life preserve, Grandview is a natural for fishing, crabbing, boating, and waterfowl viewing, with cycling, golfing, and other recreational and family activities near by.

Ideally suited for year-round getaways. All of our guests may use the pool, which sits on the point enjoying a “Grandview” of the water, the two piers, offshore anchoring, and several 14’ row boats for our guests' pleasure, and plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills.

The main house has a newly remodled kitchen can seat 5 at stools and 4 at bar stools from the porch side and opens to the dining room seating 10 comfortably. The 4 charming bedrooms and wrap around sleeping porch can accommodate 13. The beds are queens, twins, and a full. Both bathrooms have been remodeled newly and are quite attractive and current in design. The furnishings are a combination of family pieces, antiques, and reproductions creating a very inviting and comfortable environment. There is a large screen TV in the living room with cable and internet as well as a fireplace. It is a great room for watching sports, having a fire, and being with friends and family in the off season. The first floor screened in porch provides a lovely view of the water, the pool, the point as well as a place to sit comfortably or at a picnic table for crab pickers. There is plenty of room for grilling outdoors and entertaining both inside and out.

We loved this ESTATE!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in one of the cottages at this location and Ann was wonderful to accommodate us at the last minute. We felt like we had stepped back in time because of the history of the estate, which had originally been owned by an early US founding family of industry. Ann told us that the main house had once been the caretakers quarters on the estate, and though lovingly restored, it is a wonderful example of its era. If you want to feel like you are "to the manor born" stay at this estate. Whether it is in one of the cottages, that are tastefully decorated, or in the main house that is perfect for a large family or group, don't hesitate to rent this property for a long as you can! The seclusion, privacy, and beauty of this property can't be surpassed for the price.

Fantastic Stay

  • 5 of 5

I spent a long weekend at the main house, and it was easily the best weekend of the summer! The location is phenomenal. The house sits on large stretch of beautiful waterfront property. The views from the piers and the pool are exquisite.

As for the house itself, we couldn't have asked for more. It is spacious, clean, and has all of the amenities you could want.

I must also mention that it was a breeze and a pleasure working with the folks at Grandview. They are incredibly responsive, and make a great effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

Grandview Main House - Just That: Grand

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Grandview Main House for a college reunion (Class of 09) and really had an excellent weekend. The house was in great condition, the beds comfortable (and plentiful: we slept 13 without issue), bathrooms clean, and kitchen fully stocked with the armor (pots/pans) needed for us to catch a dozen crabs 20 yards from the house and boil them up for a great feast. The pool was super refreshing, and the view was absolutely beautiful.

We drove the 35 miles to Pintail Point (off route 50) and enjoyed a day of skeet shooting. St Michael's was close enough to go for a beer/brat run. There were plenty of shops and restaurants there to spend a full day exploring.

No complaints--we couldn't have found a more perfect venue for our weekend away. The only thing we regret is not renting for the entire week!

Thanks Grandview!

My family (husband, parents, brother, sister, nieces

and sister-in-law) spent a wonderful long weekend

at Grandview recently. The setting was gorgeous

and the design of the home was both beautiful and

perfectly functional for our group. We had plenty of

room to be together indoors or out, as well as

charming places to sneak away for relaxation or

privacy. Having been a guest before (and I thought

Grandview was wonderful THEN), I can say that the

recent redesign of the kitchen area and bathrooms

took the main house to the next level. I'd highly

recommend it!

We went down for our 1st year wedding anniversary and stayed in Cottage #2. It was perfect! We did a little fishing, tried our luck at crabbing, and went into town for a delicious crab dinner (which is only about a 10-15 min. drive)! The property is very well kept, clean, cozy, and comfortable! A perfect destination for some serious rest and relaxation!
