Our stay was great and very close to nearby family! We were able to walk to downtown Gruene and enjoy everything the town has to offer. The house is older but does not lack in charm. Overall a great stay.
We are backyard hanging out people. This place had so much space. Would have loved to have been able to enjoy the fire pit, but we still have warm notes.
Large house with a connected guest wing. They share a hallway. Plenty of room for all your friends and family. Very clean with a farmhouse vibe. Beautiful updated older home. Great backyard space with a gas grill, a charcoal grill, a fire pit, and plenty of seating. Easy walking distance to historic Gruene. Also there is a nice bar right next door that usually has a food truck. We had a great time!
This house had everything we needed for our quick weekend getaway. It was walking distance to Gruene and the backyard was perfection. We especially loved grilling on the fire and playing horseshoes.
Nice clean property with plenty of bedrooms and relaxing back yard with chairs and fire pit. Great location being able to walk to Gruene. Had some issues getting hot water in the AnnaBelle cottage but overall we enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful family get together. They came from Delaware and Florida to join us in Gruene. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go and the house accommodated us all very comfortably. Would definitely stay here again!!
We were in town for my nephew’s wedding, which was very close by at Gruene Estates. The reception was actually next door! Very convenient to the quaint “downtown” of historic Gruene as well!
This was a beautiful property with so much southern charm! Great kitchen, even better backyard for those evening coffee drinkings with plenty of room for everyone. I absolutely loved how the laughter, sisterly pickings on each other just filled the air no matter where you lingered. Very enjoyable trip and plan to come back very soon!!
Perfect location, less than 10 minute walk to Gruene Hall, 7 minute drive to Schlitterbahn and the chute on the Comal, 2 minute drive to tube the Guadalupe, 2 miles to large HEB. We had 14 people from 3 to 66 and had plenty of room. We had a fun time and the host was great.
My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at the Yellow Haus! Everything was close by so made walking to everything very easy and short. The house itself is awesome. Very spacious which let everyone feel comfortable having their own room. We made smores in the backyard with the cozy ambiance of the string lights. We will definitely be returning!
Great house in great location. The house could us a handyman for a day or two. Roof leaked during a heavy downpour, shower head mount fell off multiple times and then eventually wouldn’t stay up at all, door to Annabells suite would not close after day one so we repaired hinge with longer screws which fixed the issue. Overall we love the house just needs a little TLC. We will definitely stay again
We loved the Yellow Haus in Gruene! We hosted a family gathering for San Antonio and Austin families at this charming home. We loved the way the owners maintained the charm of the early-century home while updating it with a modern touch. The owners have made great use of the space, making it feel larger than it is. The master bathroom is ridiculously spacious and wonderful! The kitchen had everything we needed and more - although the refrigerator was definitely an issue. The instructions said not to fill it too full, but honestly, it never maintained an adequate temperature. We wish we had brought more coolers to store food. The yard is lovely w/ lots of places to hang out. The location is amazing - a quick walk into town - during December was beyond delightful! Gruene really needs to work on their sidewalks, but the traffic is slow in that area. We woke Saturday morning to the Jingle Bell 5K that ran along the main road in front of the house. Sitting on the front porch and encouraging the runners while sipping our morning coffee was such a joy. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to rent it again in the future.
This property met every need and then some for our family and friend's and their dogs. The house is warm and comfortable from the first step in the door. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing side dishes for our Thanksgiving dinner.
Our dogs were very comfortable and safe in the large, fenced backyard.
This property is in the perfect location for walking to town and enjoying all Gruene has to offer!
Great property, perfect location. 6 of us stayed, more than enough space. Walked to all the things in Gruene. Short Uber to Wurstfest.
