Enjoy our lovely vacation home on Okaloosa Island. It's Furnished in light and bright pastels, and the sugar white beach and emerald green water are just out the back door.

Watch the dolphins in the morning and the sunset in the evening from our large patio. We have beach chairs, umbrellas and floats for fun on the beach. The Pier and Boardwalk are an easy walk down the beach.

Villas Capri is located between the Surf Dweller Condominiums and the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort on Okaloosa Island, off of Santa Rosa Boulevard at: 556 Coral Court, Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Stayed for 1 night and left. The owner needs to show a little pride in ownership.

I want to preface this by saying I was a condo owner on Okaloosa Island for over 10 years and rented my condo out for vacations also. When we pulled up to the condo, there were empty beer cans & bottles in the empty flower pots and trash laying around the grounds. Not a good first impression of the complex. When we got into the unit we noticed there was a big puddle of water in the bedroom by the sliding glass door. The throw rugs were wet so we put them outside and mopped up the water. After unpacking, at about midnight, we decided to go to bed. We pulled back the comforter and there was a big glob of black hair in the sheets. We then got into the bed and got a big surprise as the bed was soaking wet! Comforter, sheets, pillows & mattress. I called the owner and naturally there was nothing that could be done till the morning. We ended up sleeping on the sofa sleeper which as you can imagine was not the most comfortable night sleep. We used our big beach towels as blankets as we didn't want to use the blanket in the bedroom as we were skeptical about it being clean. You would think that the unit would be inspected before a guest arrives to make sure everything is satisfactory.

In the morning at about 8:30 am, we talked with the owner and he wanted to move us to a third floor unit he also owns. Not once did he offer to bring in a new mattress. We reserved the first floor as we have a dog and bicycles and the third floor would be challenging. We declined the third floor. While we were sitting around waiting for the owner to rectify the situation, I called our old management company when we owned our condo to see if they had any pet friendly condos available in case we got into a position where we had to move. At about 10:30, I had called back and left a voice message for the owner and sent a text advising him that we would be vacating the condo as we found another in Destin. I did not hear back from the owner till about 1:30. In ending, this unit is definitely not worth the money this owner is charging. The sliding glass door is barely operable, there is rust on the curtain rods, closet door tracks, bathroom, etc and the throw rugs were filthy. This owner needs to show a little more pride of ownership. Also, just an FYI, there is no oven in this unit. Just an electric stove top. The access to the beach is the only bright part of this unit.

Owner's Response: This review is false, and was written in an effort to extort a refund to which the guest was not entitled. VRBO won't remove it, and I won't answer it. Believe what you will, but the reviews by the guests who visited immediately before, and immediately after this alleged gentleman left 4 and 5 star reviews.

The best location

I have been vacationing at Okaloosa Island for many years. This was my first stay in this unit. I debated about giving four or five stars for this review but settled on four. That is due to the unit not having a washer and dryer (there is a community washer/dryer on another floor of the small complex), no stove (there is a counter top type small stove), 1 bathroom, and a few rough edges. However, I go to the beach to spend time on the beach and this unit is right there! You walk directly onto the beach and into the water in a matter of seconds. No boardwalk to negotiate. Ease of access to the beach and water is most important to me and there are no other units on the island with better access. There are multiple webber grills on the patio which was great. If you want to stay in the lap of luxury then this place is probably not for you. If you don't mind a few minor dents and dings and want an awesome beach front location than this place checks that box nicely. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this unit again and it is on my short list for future vacations.

Very cozy condo

Hi Mr Paul and Ms Candy are the best people to rent from. We very much enjoyed our stay and planing on returning. The condo was excellent,very cozy and the location can't be beat step out of bedroom and right on the beach. Couldnt ask for more we loved every minute of it.

If you like being on the beach, this is the place for you

Pros - We really liked the beach being at your back door. The bed and couch were comfortable. Loved the free beach service. Cozy place if you don't plan to be inside except to sleep. Nice to park right outside your room.

Cons- As far as the condition of the rental, it needs major updates inside and out.

Owner's Response: I agree...if I didn't like being on the beach, I don't think I'd want to sit under a sun umbrella or in a condo for three days either. We tell folks before they arrive that : " It's a cute, comfortable little place...not fancy, perfect or new, but we love it and hope you do too. The white sand beaches, and the beautiful gulf water make for a spectacular back yard". We do touch-ups and repairs when they're called for, but "...major updates..." just really aren't necessary right now. We actually loved having her, and gave her a nice review. The only thing she emailed us was: "Thanks so much! We had a great time!!!!"

The picture of the furniture on the patio does not reflect what is accually there now.

The place was OK. It needs painting inside and out. There are allot of marks on the interior walls and surface rust on the A/C vents. The bedroom dresser is very old and nicked up. The furniture need to be replaced and unlike the description says, there is no stove, only a cooktop. The beach chairs in the closet need to be replaced. They are very rusty and the seat is mostly ripped out of one of them. We also had many problems with non guests parking in our parking spot and using our lot as easy assess to the beach. This was VERY frustrating!
