Great location and beautiful spacious outdoor space! Azure Grotto is part of the 9 unit Battery Hill Condominiums in Cruz Bay. Situated on the top of the hill near Gallows Point above Cruz Bay, this condo boasts beautiful views of the Pillsbury sound and Cruz Bay town. It is a very relaxing and private way to enjoy tropical living at its best. Azure Grotto has a newly renovated bath and kitchen too! Walk to ferry, shopping and dining. Beautifully maintained Battery Hill with lush landscaping is just a 5-10 minute walk from downtown with a wide range of restaurant choices and shopping experiences.

Azure Grotto's most unique feature in this complex is the amazing L-shaped deck and covered porch featuring a dining area and lounge area with cooling ocean breezes and a sunning deck. The master bedroom's French doors open to the sun deck with tropical views. This unit is very private and lush and just steps away from the sunny pool area with amazing harbor and ocean views. Conveniently located gas grill and complimentary laundry are available for your use.

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroom 2 has two twin beds that can convert to a king upon request. Their is a spacious renovated tiled bathroom . The kitchen is also newly renovated with new appliances and is well appointed. The comfortable, updated Island decorated living area has cable Smart TV and high speed wireless internet and is stocked with games and books. Open the double french doors in the living room to the covered porch and deck. This unit is shaded and there are ceiling fans and throughout every room. Both bedrooms and living room are equipped with AC units if needed. Battery Hill has private onsite parking and is just a short walk to town. Taxis are available if you prefer not to rent a car.

Our experienced on island property manager is available 24/7. They will arrange a virtual check in at your convenience, and will share all you need to know about Azure Grotto at Battery Hill. They will share an orientation of the unit, the common areas, and St John. They are available to help with any details or questions regarding your stay on St John.

The location couldn’t have been better—just a short drive to the restaurants, shops, and nightlife in Cruz Bay while still feeling peaceful and relaxing.The pool was one of our favorite features, providing the perfect place to unwind while taking in the beautiful panoramic views. Girls trip, party of 3. Villa was easy to find, communication with host was great, vila was clean. We enjoyed the outdoor space including the shared pool, grill, and laundry. The location was very nice, close to Cruz Bay (walkable if you are fit as it’s a tough hill). Same with the stairs down to the villa. If you are capable, both are doable. The only thing we wish we had known was that St John has many power interruptions (excluding weather, routinely scheduled for maintenance)and although we clarified that the complex had a generator, we didn’t take into consideration that the unit did not have its own, leaving us with no AC and refrigeration for two overnights into the late mornings/early afternoon. Overall this condo is a great pic, would’ve been perfect with an in unit generator.

Loved this unit. It had an amazing deck where we were able to eat outside and enjoy the view. Also great to walk right out the door to the pool and grill. Bonus was there were plenty of beach chairs to use everyday. We will be back.

Location was perfect. The hill on Hill street was a little tough, but the walk going around the other direction was not difficult. The host and manager were very kind and were quick to assist with any questions. Kitchen was well stocked and the home was comfortable and clean. Pool was great! The place is beautiful and very well maintained. It was clean and had everything you need including beach towels and nice beach chairs. This property is excellent. Fantastic view of Cruz bay and walkable to Cruz bay. The hills to walk are steep but as long you are active they won't be a problem. Will book again!

Our group of 4, enjoyed the property including the private outdoor covered patio and seating area with beautiful views. We loved to have our morning coffee and enjoy the view. Great condo close to Cruz Bay

Everything you need to fully enjoy St. John is thoughtfully included in this condo. The location is close enough to walk to town, but I would recommend getting a rental Jeep. The condo itself is very clean and includes everything you need while staying in St. John. I highly recommend this condo and would stay here again.

Great location!

My husband and I went to St John with another couple and stayed at Rainbow's End. The condo has everything you need and is conveniently located right by the pool. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed relaxing under the covered deck at night. We can't wait to go back!

Great location and amenities

I loved the proximity to Cruz Bay. This was a great place to stay to take day trips around St John and nearby islands. We didn’t rent a car and getting around was easy. The pool is lovely, as is the lanai. St John has some significant energy blackouts during our trip, so the pool provided a great place to cool off.

Walking distance to restaurants

Close to pier and restaurants. Live music travels up the hill so not quiet until later at night.

Wonderful Place

We loved everything about our stay here at Battery Hill. Check in/out was super easy. They kept us informed of everything along the way and gave a bunch of suggestions on dining, hiking and anything else we needed. Close to town so we could walk to all the restaurants/bars and didn't have to worry about parking. We will definitely stay here again.

We are a family of six and recently moved to Cape Cod after 30 years in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington DC. We have very busy lives and Rainbows End in Cruz Bay is our escape...a small piece of paradise where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking outdoors, and we love sharing it with others! It only took us a few visits to St. John with our children to quickly realize St John was a place we would always return to. We love the relaxing peace and beauty of the island and the great vibrant restaurants of Cruz Bay! Hiking and snorkeling off the white sand beaches are by far our favorite activities...there is no place on earth like St. John!

Why they chose this property

Battery Hill is located on the top of the hill looking out over Cruz Bay. Not only does it offer amazing views, it is short stroll into town for shopping and dinning offering the best of both worlds. Rainbows End is a very private unit with GREAT outdoor space, both covered space for your morning coffee or an evening night cap as well as open space for private sunbathing! The complex pool is just a few steps away....it is a private grotto with all the amenities needed in close proximity!
