Modern, pretty, spacious, practical, near a village... A lovely gite!
We have just returned from a great stay in Florian's gite. It is very modern, comfortable, spacious and well decorated and furnished with everything you would need. We rent a gite every year in either Normandy or Brittany and these are usually quite isolated meaning that you need to drive to access any shops. This one is a bit different in that it is on a small housing development. It is, however, completely detached with space all around with a garden and terrace, not overlooked by others. As it's detached, it's very quiet too. There is plenty of space for parking on the property grounds. The two advantages we found of being on the edge of a village were the fact that we could walk to a boulangerie and café tabac in the mornings (the boulangerie in the village is closed two days a week but there's another one not too far away) and the wifi in the house is excellent. The location is fantastic for road links. Although the village is quiet, you only need to drive for two minutes to get to a major road with direct links to St Malo, Rennes, Dinan etc. The beautiful and quaint beach resort of St Lunaire is a 20 minute drive away. The parking is free and plentiful and the beach is fantastic. We used the park and rides at St Malo and Rennes and enjoyed visiting Dinan, Dol ... A great week in Brittany! Florian answered any questions I had and Cindy, who lives nearby and handles check in and out, replied quickly to the couple of queries I had.
