This was a lovely cottage only minutes outside of the town of Woodstock.
This was a clean, bright cottage with everything one would need. We chose to sleep in the comfortable pullout sofa rather than in the loft. The cottage is in walking distance to the town. We enjoyed many delicious meals in Woodstock, especially enjoying The Bear Cafe, Silvio and Bread A Lone. The chocolate shop had amazing 100% dark chocolate bars.
We also visited the surrounding areas and Rhinebeck where we visited Bard College.
Great Cottage and great weekend. Also Jennifer, the owner was readily available.
This cottage was wonderful! Just as described and everything we hoped for.
This little cottage was perfect for our fist trip to upstate New York. It is very well appointed and in an absolutely stunning and perfect location. We did some grocery shopping at the local health food store and butcher and prepared meals in the well equipped kitchen. We slept comfortably. We relaxed among falls changing trees and enjoyed the view. We walked into Woodstock to wander the village. It is definitely walkable but with no sidewalk or even shoulder much of the way I felt it too dangerous to get my run in. We were here to visit the NY State Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, though traffic was horrible crossing the river making it a long journey on Saturday, I am glad we chose here to stay. The drive was beautiful and the location worked well for us. We hope to be back!
Lovely little cottage :)
The cottage is very sweet and neat as a pin! Jennifer has lovely taste, and though the cottage is small, it is uncluttered, comfy and very pretty. I had a very nice two-day stay. Be sure that you don't mind tight places because the sleeping loft is definitely cozy. I was alone, so it was prefect!
Cute rustic cabin
We rented the cabin for a long weekend in September. The cabin is cute, well maintained, & clean. The owner has taken steps to make guests comfortable, such as by providing toiletries, a fully stocked kitchen, and a binder which contains Woodstock dinning & entertainment recommendations. The cabin is a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Woodstock, which is filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. The only negative is the futon in the loft was uncomfortable. It sags in the middle making it uncomfortable for two people. Other than that, it was a lovely place to stay.
The bed has been replaced since your visit. It is comfortable once again.
Quaint and cozy cottage - PERFECT!
My husband and I stayed here in the days leading up to our Woodstock elopement, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect start to the week. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The cottage had everything we needed to relax, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and plan our days ahead. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner with food from the local Woodstock shops; Jennifer left a binder full of suggestions of restaurants, shops, and things to do in an area as well as the most recent edition of the Woodstock newspaper; there was even a ukelele!
The cottage is so close to downtown Woodstock, you could walk, but as it rained while we were there, we ended up driving and parking in the community lot just off Tinker St. The rain only made the location feel more magical and it was great for leaving the windows open and sleeping.
Jennifer was great communicating with us before we arrived, and we felt like we could contact her if we needed anything, but the cottage already had everything we needed.
We fell in love with Woodstock on this trip and would definitely stay here on return trips to celebrate future anniversaries. Thanks for sharing this cottage with us!
Charming and cozy
The cabin was clean and very charming. Everything worked perfectly and it was a short walk from everything in Woodstock so I was okay despite not having a car. The television is not a smart TV and there is no cable, so if you'd like to watch a lot of TV you should bring your own DVD collection (they do have some movies, including The Princess Bride). Overall it was a really great experience and I'd definitely recommend.
