Charming Cabin Retreat-5 Minutes from Town-Dogs OK!

Welcome to IdyPines!
This delightful cabin is the perfect blend of rustic and modern charm. It's located in the Pine Cove neighborhood of Idyllwild and sits off the main highway for easy accessibility. A short five-minute drive into town connects you to shops, restaurants, and local artists. While the home has been renovated to bring it up to the modern traveler's standards, we made sure to maintain as much of its original character as possible. We are excited to host you and your loved ones.

This "studio-style" cabin was originally built in 1943. The floor plan is wide open, but features very defined spaces. Exposed wood beams, original hardwood floors, and comfortable ambience are some of the features we know you'll love and expect from a cabin in the woods.

The kitchen is fully equipped with every cookware, dish, and utensil needed to create a delectable meal. New small appliances, sufficient counter space, and plenty of lighting makes this kitchen workspace suitable for any level of cooking. The indoor dining room seats five comfortably, and the outdoor dining space seats six. Enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee, espresso, or tea and welcome the sunlight coming through the large window in the dining room as you plan for your day.

New sofa bed, recliner, river rock wood-burning fireplace, and modern decor anchor the living room space. Technology such as a smart TV and vinyl record/bluetooth player add to the experience by keeping you connected to the world just enough until you're ready to go back to the bustling city life. But if you must work remotely, our fast internet connection is well suited for those joyous Zoom calls.

Slide the glass door open and step onto the new wraparound redwood deck built with the stargazer in mind. Fire-up the grill for a cookout or gather around the fire pit at night. There is plenty of outdoor seating to do both and the perfect way to soak up the beauty of our surroundings.

*A small staircase right off the dining area leads up to the main loft bedroom. It houses a new Queen memory foam mattress bed with soft cotton sheets and warm blankets. Perfect for a restful night's sleep or an afternoon nap after an invigorating hike.

*The "Bonus Room" past the living room is set up with a Twin bed and trundle. New memory foam mattresses, fresh cotton linens, and plenty of lighting and space for two people.

The bathroom has been fully renovated with new tile walls and flooring, tub/shower, vanity, Bluetooth speaker/exhaust fan, modern hardware, and plenty of towels to last your entire stay. Amenities include: Shampoo/conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer.

Up the small ladder outside the bathroom is the "Readers' Nook," which is the smaller of the two lofts. This is a very special space created for any one, big or small, seeking some alone time to cuddle up with a book, or simply enjoy the peaceful vibe. New carpet, comfortable floor pillows, and whimsical string lights will be favored by all.

*It is important to note that while the property is listed as a two-bedroom home, the spaces which have designated beds do not have doors.

---ARRIVAL---
Check-In: Any time after 3 PM
A check-in guide will be sent to you 24 hours prior to your reservation - this will be sent through the Airbnb app in our message thread and can also be found in the house guidebook provided. All information, parking, entry code, etc., will be included.

Check-Out: Before 11 AM
Please be considerate and try to leave the cabin the way you first found it. Check-out instructions will be sent through the Airbnb app one day prior to your departure via our message thread, and can also be found in the house guidebook provided.

-Late check-out without prior approval will automatically result in a minimum $150 fee. Cleaning crew arrives at 11:15 am to prepare cabin for new guests. We ask that you be considerate to their work and schedule.

---DOG-FRIENDLY---
We are happy to welcome house-broken, well-behaved pups.
-Two dogs maximum allowed.
-Flat fee of $30 per dog, due at time of booking
-Each dog must be listed at time of booking.
-No cats allowed. No exceptions.

---ROAD ACCESS---
IdyPines Cabin is located on a main highway. It is plowed during winter time and maintained by the county throughout the year. The road is passable by most vehicles in good weather except for a few days out of the year when there is heavy snow. The driveway that leads down to the property will be cleared of snow as much as possible, but during this time, we highly recommend 4-wheel-drive vehicles and snow chains on icy roads. We will be in touch prior to your stay and can advise of the current road conditions. However, we can't tell you with any certainty if your car will be able to pass. We are not responsible for any stuck or damaged vehicles due to road or weather conditions.
