Conveniently located near Bass Lake, downtown Oakhurst, and Yosemite's South Gate, it offers a peaceful retreat and a convenient base for exploring Yosemite. Enjoy soaking in the hot tub, grilling up a delicious meal on the deck, or spending the evening in the game room by the fire pit. The Ponderosa Chalet is the perfect place for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Living room: The Ponderosa Chalet's living room is a cozy open space, perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the mountains. Kick back on the comfortable furniture and watch TV or simply enjoy the company of your friends and family.

As our guest, you will have full access to the entire property, including the living areas, bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and outdoor spaces. Feel free to make yourself at home and enjoy all that our Ponderosa Chalet by The Great Yosemite Retreat has to offer.

The Ponderosa Chalet is located in Oakhurst, California, a small town situated in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The chalet is situated on a quiet residential street, surrounded by lush green forests and rolling hills. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, with friendly neighbors and plenty of privacy. We enjoyed everything. The hotel was perfect very nice grill where we made some steaks and chicken. Beautiful sunsets. Very quite neighborhood. Easy place to start your day in Yosemite. Only an hour from the airport! comfortable beds and linens. Lovely fireplace. If you are arriving after dark, it’s a little more challenging to find it the first time. Very private!

Great place to stay for families

Beautiful views, comfortable beds and an overall great place to stay! Roads are a little tricky getting to the property so it would be good planning to arrive during the day and avoid having to drive at night. Restaurants in town close at 8, so plan accordingly if you will be eating out. Hosts were responsive and property is well kept. Overall, nice accomodations.

Chilling Outside of Yosemite

Quiet location where you can sit in the hot tub under the Milky Way after hiking and climbing in Yosemite. If you still have energy, you can goof around in the play room. Nice to sit outside and eat and watch the bats and the sunset from the deck is pretty epic.
